The best gym EVER. Period. Trust me, you won't regret coming here…read more I came in with my friend for a boxing class. I stopped boxing about 5 years ago. My favorite trainer (ICE) switched locations and I didn't like the other trainers as much. Within 5 minutes of being here, I was speaking to the owner, and my day was made. ICE teaches here now!!! I was sooo happy!! He is literally the best and sweetest person ever. I took a class with one of the other trainers and it was very very challenging. I stayed to say hi to ICE after because he was teaching in half an hour. I didn't think he'd remember me and he did!! He got soooo happy to see me and gave me a huge hug! I even took a picture with him and he hugged me like 3 more times I love him!! He said that I'm always welcome in his class whenever I want. I took 30 min of his class and it was as amazing as I remembered it to be. His class is so fun and challenging. The gym is also really cool. It has portraits made out of boxing gloves and license plates. Such a cool vibe, I wouldn't even expect a gym like this to be in MI. Definitely check out this gym and take a class with ICE!!!! You can even tell him that Angela sent you!

Writing this review while exhausted from class, but breathing. Get Some Fitness is a group fitness…read moreand personal training spot. The group classes include bootcamp, The Grind (I'm scared to even try it from the name), and cardio kickboxing. Bootcamp classes are 1/2 kicking boxing and 1/2 Tabata style. The music during class will keep you hype & works well with punching a heavy bag. Classes are held as early as 6am and as late at 7:30pm. It's cool that they have classes 7 days a week. The owner is really nice, but don't let that fool you. Classes are intense, but you work at your pace. My pace, slow pace. He offers personal training sessions (in home or at the building). Classes are reasonably priced and will give you a real workout whether a newbie or athletic. Tip: It is right (less than .25 miles) past 13 Mile Rd. and you have to drive to the back of the building to get in. There are boxing gloves there to use, but you can buy a pair there (or a sporting goods store) for yourself if you don't want to share sweat.

My experience working with Dr. Cecily has been nothing short of wonderful. I've learned so much (in a short time!) about proper body mechanics, in addition to core strengthening and posture improvement exercises. I'd been living (painfully) with a weak pelvic floor, and carrying stress in my lower back for such a long time. I am overwhelmed by how much better I feel as a result of Dr. Cecily's expertise and care. I am so grateful to her! The studio has an inviting feel and the RF team welcomes patrons with a smile. The environment is friendly and unpretentious, and especially during the pandemic, I feel that my health and wellness is a priority to the team!

I am not new to Pilates and the owner was relentless in trying to gaslight me into buying a package for private sessions, which I cannot afford. The owner doesn't know to conduct herself ethically, and they repeatedly over charged my credit card to the point where I had to report them to my credit card company as fraud and had to cancel the card they had on file for me. The owner is a raving lunatic and so abusive. She yells at and demeans her staff in front of clients. It's no wonder there's such a high turn over with instructors, and anyone good instructor ends up quitting. The owner is socially inappropriate, she talks down to and is condescending to clients, she over shares intimate details of her dysfunctional personal life with clients, she has zero personal and professional boundaries, and clearly has a problem with alcohol. She's beyond inappropriate with clients, and has a history of engaging in sexual relationships with married male clients and when caught, then cries that she's a victim of sexual assault. She is mentally unstable! She has instructors who just became certified running her teacher training, which is beyond inappropriate. With so many Pilates studios in Metro Detroit, do yourself a favor and avoid this awful place like the plague. You'll thank me later!

I can't say any reviews about any other classes except for full row; basically it's the majority of rowing and maybe one or two times of getting off and stretching and doing some light floor exercises. All these years I thought I was rolling the correct way and to my surprise I wasn't. Lol! The coach answered all my questions which I only attend 6:00 a.m. classes because I'm that level of crazy and don't need any sleep. Updated Review: I've always been a loyal member to every…read morefitness studio I've joined, and I came in with the same expectations here. To be fair, I'm leaving two stars only because of Arsharel and Nichol -- they are truly amazing instructors who deserve to be teaching at an original Lagree studio, not in this environment. Unfortunately, the trust I once had in this studio was broken. After many of us paid upfront for a full year membership, the owner, Judy, suddenly shifted direction: hiring inexperienced, non-certified trainers, opening a new location, and purchasing copycat machines instead of authentic Lagree equipment. Yes, you read that right -- fake Lagree machines, which are not only unsafe but also disrespectful to long-time clients who believed in the original method and trusted her leadership. The studio also rebranded from "Lagree" to "Modern Pilates," which might be fine for newcomers, but as an original client, I signed up and invested in authentic Lagree training -- not this. There's nothing wrong with Pilates in general, but the issue is the bait-and-switch: we trusted we were paying for true Lagree, with certified trainers and proper equipment. As someone who has always supported and respected my studios, I had no choice but to cancel my membership. It's disappointing to see a place I once believed in lose its integrity. If you're interested in real Lagree, I encourage you to check Sebastian Lagree's page (@lagreefitness) for more details on the differences.
