This is a wonderful place to go if you're serious about a good, strenuous workout! The instructors…read moreare very friendly and add their own take to the class without deviating to much so that each experience is wildly different. The owner Josh, is incredibly knowledgeable, has a keen eye for good form and proper technique, and is not afraid to offer corrections, and sometimes spares many a furtive glance in the mirror to fix his hair. ...I mean pilates certainly attracts characters. Which brings me to the deduction of one star. This place is fantastic, but some of the clientele are not. at all. some of these people are so distractingly abhorrent and odious, that it can detract from the work out if you are not locked in. This place is great, but some mean, frivolous, ridiculous women like to collect and compare here. So be forewarned. Don't be intimidated though! Ignore the clowns and their one man circus and enjoy a good workout.

It's clean, well stocked but the stations are very crowded because they keep a stationary bike right up against each Reformer. You have to adjust and move the bikes as you do different motions s not to bang into them. I've had some good and less than classes- Marie Ver Haar and Leslie Velasques were great. They explained things well and checked on everyone for proper form, leaving me feeling like a had a whole body workout and feeling good. Another instructor spent a great amount of time on the springboard/jump board thing. Like A LOT of time. My knee was pretty irritated and the rest of my body was just along for the ride. I won't do that class again. O8verall, this is a nice place with good equipment and some good trainers. I think I'll stick with Marie and Leslie V. for best results. I wish there was a changing room for members to change clothes before or after or at least a place other than the floor to put your personal items while exercising.

I've been working with Mark Bransky in Pleasanton since March 2025 and couldn't be happier. I just…read morerenewed my subscription because the results speak for themselves. Mark is excellent at explaining both the theory and practice, so you actually understand what you're doing and how to do it properly. The gym is very well equipped, always clean, and has everything you need for serious and focused training. Mark creates a relaxed but professional atmosphere, and he's easy to work with, always adjusting the sessions to fit where you are and what you need to work on. Since starting with him, I've seen solid gains in strength and technique, and I feel much more confident with every workout. If you want a personal trainer who's knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely committed to helping you improve, Mark is the guy to see.

Let's start with - I highly recommend Mark! I initially started working with him because of some…read moresudden debilitating pain in my leg and some persistent back pain, unsure of the exact cause or whether there were deeper structural issues at play. From the very first session, Mark took a thoughtful and comprehensive approach, carefully assessing my movements and making sure to design a plan that would both relieve my discomfort and build strength around my problem areas. Despite not knowing the full extent of my underlying issues initially, he instinctively knew how to modify exercises and ensure I was progressing in a safe and effective way. What really stands out is his ability to balance professionalism with a light, friendly demeanor. Regardless of how early in the morning our appointments are, the sessions are always approachable and enjoyable, which made sticking to the program so much easier. We're still working on the various aspects of my rehabilitation but I've noticed an improvement in my posture, mobility, and overall back health. In many ways the awareness and the small lifestyle changes I have to make are just as valuable to me since I wasn't ever aware of it before. Like I started this review, I reiterate--Mark's expertise, attentiveness, and positive energy make all the difference.

When I started my training, I'll admit I was very skeptical of the experience, but Chris has been so patient and diligent in helping me understand the importance of stretching and warming up my body as well as making sure I know which muscles to activate for which exercises. Growing comfortable with the space and the workouts helped motivate me to go train more often. By communicating my goals with Chris I was able to work around my schedule to workout consistently and make changes in my eating habits. I have lost around 20 lbs and counting and I plan to keep it going! Overall, I feel very thankful to have found a trainer and a gym that I love going to and it has definitely made a very big impact in my life mentally and physically. Thank you Chris and Performance Plus! Other details about the facility: - The space is relatively private other than other clients and physical therapy patients. - Mobility and functionality is emphasized here. The trainer will work with you to see what exercises and movements work best for you and make adjustments accordingly based on what you can do! - Showers are available for clients to use! -The staff at performance plus are friendly and are always open to answering any questions you have!

Being a former athlete, I wanted to find new ways where I can introduce a different kind of workout that my body was not used to. We went over my goals and what I wanted to achieve and Chris delivered! I was able to lift heavier while keeping proper form, work on muscles groups that I needed improvement on and emphasized on mind-muscle connection. Chris also works around if I have lower back pain (sciatica) and finds a different exercise that does not put pressure on my back. He is quick to improvise. I have learned a lot from Chris in the past year and look forward to my workouts with him. Whether you're new to fitness or looking for a challenge, I'd definitely recommend Performace+.

I assume that prices need to be about doubled to get the clientele down to what the facility can handle. -They do not fix or replace machines as needed. They have two smith machines, and one of them sticks to the point where you can't use it for most exercises, so everyone waits in line for the only working smith machine while the other one stays empty. A few of the other machines have the grip coming off which exposes a sticky glue substance which gets on your hands as soon as you start the exercise -They do not bolt the equipment down (including the power racks and benches) so it gets crooked which throws off your lift -They do not provide enough dumbbells for the classes. I do not go to the classes myself, however, when a weight class is about to start, multiple people (around 5-10) will take all of the dumbbells ranging from 5lbs-25lbs from the main gym leaving the gym without those dumbbells for the duration of that class (about an hour)

I've never had any negative interactions with the patrons here - definitely a high volume of high schoolers that come in and out of the space. Staff are fine too, they say hi when you come in and bye when you come out. The bathrooms are definitely gross and outdated, and sometimes there's not enough wipes around, but overall it's decent. I ended up deciding to cancel my membership as they installed new blue lights, which are pretty jarring for my eyes.

She was not happy for us and it was by no thanks to her that we succeeded. . To top it off she bounced the check she paid my friend with! I recently wished I could revisit there but I know already what she's like. Its unfortunate because everything else about it is good. She has no respect and she is always right. She stalked my Facebook page and saw that I wrote a positive review about another workout class at a local gym and felt it necessary to bring it up to me and talk about the other location negatively. I believe the positive reviews on Yelp are left by individuals that are required to do so in order to get their deposits back from the 6 Week Program. I do not understand how she is still in business. She calls people fat, laughs at them, and refuses to provide modifications. She assumes whatever injury you are explaining is made up.
