Just was looking to get an estimate for a kitchen remodel and was recommended to him. I called 3 times and emailed and didn't hear back from him. His phone always goes straight to voicemail. He did actually get back to me at the end of the week after I tried contacting him, apologized for getting back to me so late and said he'd call me the next week to set up an appointment. He never called and I tried calling and emailing him to see if we can get something set up. It's been 3 weeks since our first initial contact. It's a sign of a bad contractor if they're unresponsive or can't be bothered with potential clients. I understand most contractors are overworked with jobs, as many are booked through the next year. But at least those contractors will respond back in a timely manner to say they can't take a job. It's not a good business practice to ignore people as your reputation will spread.
