Such a handy company. During their horrible power outages I needed coverage on the fly for inland marine insurance which they don't actually cover but they do put you in touch with another company for that which was super quick and easy. The fact this company got back to me during such a rough time with power outages and all was a huge plus in my book. Spoke with Myles Anderson in a panic and thankfully he was able to understand what specifics the venue needed in order to be properly insured. As an event coordinator, I never ran into a venue asking for various insurance coverages outside of the contract holders policy. Myles was able to set my mind at ease and explain that although it was a weird ask it wasn't that unusual. I did call other companies but were all answering services or online quotes. GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM ON THE PHONE! Event Helper is an online insurance agency that provides single day and limited event liability and vendor insurance. There are no shortage of companies that do this, but they seem to be doing a lot of marketing to rise to the top of the online heap. This company was suggested by my wedding planner when I discovered at the eleventh hour that I needed to insure my venue for my photographer, who was a friend, not a vendor. I also had to cover the insurance for the florist and the DJ, so I was looking to bundle my vendors, which is not difficult -you basically do this with auto insurance whenever you add a driver to a car policy. Unfortunately, their online interface has an automatic default to exclude vendors in Wedding event policies, and in their Vendor documents it is unclear on how to name multiple primaries. Each time you change the nature of the policy you have to go back to the beginning and start all over again, too, generally arriving at an impasse each time. When I first called, it was close to 5PM (but before), so I figured I got put on hold long enough to pass their business hours. It sucks, but it happens. I left a message on their voicemail expecting a callback the next morning which did not come. But I've also called multiple times during normal business hours (once at 10:40 AM, once at 2:23 PM-always Mon-Fri) and I've NEVER gotten through. I possibly received a call back when I was on another line two days later (it was a San Francisco number), but I can't confirm that because they didn't leave a message if in fact it was them calling, and when I dialed that number back it rang without going to their automated system. Customer service is incredibly important in insurance coverage. If they are this poor at fielding calls, I can't even imagine how hard they will be to reach if I need to file a claim! read more

These guys are great. My wife and I got married on September 6th. We used Eventhelper for our DJ and Photographer's one-day insurance. Unfortunately I was a nincompoop and wrote my insurer as my dj and the certificate holder as me. I contacted them literally at 2 am on a Sunday...sure I'm from Chicago and they're in Cali...but they promptly responded to me and fixed everything within an hour of my error. We had a venue (a tennis club in University of Chicago) that we had no idea what one-day insurance was. However, I called them once and then I had a conversation through email with an unnamed person....which i later found out was named Lauren. Her and her husband explained all of the ins and outs about everything and helped me not to stress out on our important day (Which my wife would have killed me if she knew i messed that up, and we had to worry fixing this). They remedied everything I messed up. We are planning our 50th Wedding Anniversary Party at a private residence. The owners insisted that we take out a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy, with them as the insured. After checking with Travlers, (the company that has our home insurance policy), and finding out that they would not issue us a 1 day binder policy I didn't know what to do.
