For my husbands 45th birthday we came here cause he loves puzzles. We brought our daughter her husband & 7month old daughter & my niece & her husband. Man was it fun! We did bank heist, unbeknownst to us it was the hardest room (probably not a good idea for the first time lol) but it was so much fun to do! We really enjoyed ourselves!

Glad I finally got to try the escape room! We decided to go here for my dads birthday. When we walked in, the employees were very accommodating and friendly. I was nervous considering this was my first time being "locked" in a room for an hour but once we got started we had an amazing time filled with lots of emotions. We had to figure out so many puzzles inside the room and my dad and sister were contaminated and we had to figure out the cure in order to get them out. I really liked how they give you 3 clues to help guide you to figure out the puzzle. We finally got them out and then we had two extra brains to help us get out the room. Pros Friendly staff Helpful They served drinks They give you 3 clues to help escape Cons We didn't win! Bummer Cons

Very fun time! It was easy enough to not drive you crazy but hard enough to keep you challenged. Everything was organized and they give you a walkie talkie to ask for help or hints when needed. It was a good time but a bit pricey.

I love this place. Came here today for my third visit since 2017, the rooms have just gotten better and better. Working with Lara, the corporate event planner, I was easily able to schedule a large event for my group of 40 across 4 rooms. I always have such a great experience here, you bond so much with the people you are locked in a room with! Great place for small birthday parties or school wellness experiences. My favorite room I've done is the contagion because of the science integrated into it, but Space was also so much fun. I won't reveal too much, but you have to try an escape room here if you haven't before!

    Fun times!!

What a fantastic time! A couple friends and I decided to go on a whim, and chose the Bank Heist room. Half way through the experience, we realized it would have been helpful if it wasn't just the 3 of us, as it was a 10 person capacity room lol Lucky for us though, it was very warm in the rooms, so it REALLY motivated us to get moving and get out of there. If we had more people, the heat may have been too much. I do wish the rooms had fans or something to cool everyone off. We still had an absolute blast though! Very challenging, 4 rooms to navigate through, lots of combinations, locks, seek and finds, and riddles to overcome, which led to a TON of laughs!! It was a good time had by all. We didn't escape, but I'll definitely be back to try again!!

Fun outing with a group. I went for work, best team building exercise I have ever taken part in. However, our room was extremely hot!

Enigma has very different feel than the first escape room company I went to. Unlike a lot of escape rooms (Breakout Games, Escape, etc.) this one is not a franchise. The rooms are entirely original from traditional escape games (no kidnapping or other overused themes). The room we did was called "Grandma's secret recipe" I believe and the goal was to search "grandma's" house and find her recipe before the bank comes to take it. The puzzles were challenging, even if they could use some tweaking. The staff was incredibly open to feedback and I think it's just developing currently. I imagine creating original rooms is more difficult than the kits many places use! I definitely recommend going in a group, because you never know who you'll be paired with otherwise. Overall I recommend Enigma and I'm excited to try out their "Haunted Dorm" this fall!

Thanks, Enigma Puzzle House, for putting Bloomington on the map for escape rooms!…read more These puzzle rooms were all the rage in Boston, but we never got around to it until now. And we're glad we did, because it was a great way to spend the afternoon. You basically get locked inside of a room filled with tons of clues. You're presented with a puzzle and then have only 1 hour to solve it. Who knew it would be such a rush! We went with some puzzle-room pros, and they were pleased by the level of difficulty at Enigma. $25 seemed somewhat steep for only 1 hour, but it's actually on the cheaper end compared to places in Indy and Boston. The staff were SUPER friendly and enthusiastic about escape rooms. ....I could see how it may be less fun if you're a group of 2 stuck with some strangers, but definitely grab a group of friends (or Team Building Event 2017) and go. You'll be reliving your Saw-victory for quite a while.

They have so many scenarios you can choose from and we can even bring the kids for some. Reservations are easy to make. Waivers are required. Checking in and learning pre play rules is quick. My fiancé signed us up for the kidnapped breakout but didn't read the most important part (IMO) that we would be blind folded and hand cuffed before we enter the room! Many may find that exciting, but I felt the opposite!! So you can imagine me once it was time to head into the room, ha! Kenzie was our host and did an amazing job explaining the rules and the game. Once it was time to start, she blindfolded us and handcuffed us (with real police cuffs!) with our hands in front. My fiancé placed her hands on my shoulders, and Kenzie guided us into the breakout room. She told us we'd hear a quick story, and after that, we could remove our blindfolds and search for the key to unlock our handcuffs before doing anything else. Once we heard the beep, the one-hour countdown began. We took off our blindfolds and opened our eyes to an all-brick room, chained to a metal bed frame with bloody clothes on top of a spring mattress. After about five minutes, I found the key. The breakout experience was intricate, challenging, and a ton of fun. Although we didn't escape in time, we'd absolutely go back. Highly recommend!
