Yep it's me again!!! This is a GREAT idea! If you want to challenge yourself and have fun while doing it I suggest coming here! My friends brought me here for my birthday and we had a blast!!! The employee that was there thoroughly enjoys what he does! He acted out his part while getting us "agent" together. My favorite part about this location is they ONLY give clues when THEY feel you need them! There were definite times where if we had the option we would've asked for clues BUT that would've had us giving up. They way their process is set up really allows you to work and think through the clues rather than getting frustrated and quitting. Awesome escape of reality! I have heard about Escape rooms for a while but I guess I never had the chance to go with a group of mine and since I was a newbie I didn't wanted to be the one not knowing what to do with a bunch of strangers. Finally I could try it this past weekend and it really is a fun, interactive and creative way to hang out with friends, to take for at least an hour to stop thinking in the current world situation or even to enhance a work group relationship or develop a better team work. Well, a friend of mine made the reservation for the only one available and it was "Doctor K's Lethal Injection". I don't wanna spoil and take the fun from this mission but if I remember the lady said it was one or if not the most difficult one to do so keep that in mind if you haven't donde any like me. We were a group of 9 people, when we arrived they checked our temperature, gave us hand sanitizer and asked us to check in ourselves in the computes they have where you give your general information and sign the waiver. Now, about the mission all I can say is that almost everything inside the room had a purpose, that you have to read and look for clues or things that you think are movable. However if you or your group are not finding a way out of clues there's a screen where your guide will provide some information since she has a camera and a microphone inside so aside from you having fun they do have fun as well while watching you struggle haha. Anyway for 22 dollars each of my group we had a very fun and thrilling evening; will definitely come again for the next mission! read more

We went in with 6 adults after dinner. Several restaurants are within a few blocks walk. It was nice not to have to repark from dinner since it's street parking only here, and the parking garages aren't super close. Four of us had done escape rooms of one type or another before, and 3 of us had done them twice or more so we had some experiences with which to compare. We were greeted right away and briefed on general logistics. It's best to arrive at least 15min prior to your room time. Bathrooms are at the far end of the hall, and the bigger your group the more you will be like herding cats. Staff were very patient with us, which was appreciated. Depending on your group size, you might travel light as you will be putting your personal effects in a large locking trunk, one per party. Unlike some similar venues, there is no alcohol served here (which we knew and had pregamed, hence my appreciation for their patience). We did Asteria's Singularity listed as Mission 3 on their website. This game has an interesting premise and is visually more interesting than most. Lighting is dim inside the mission room. But do play along and leave your phones outside; flashlights are provided. This was definitely a more challenging room. I would come into it with no fewer than 6 people having some experience (8 would be better), and don't be surprised if you don't make it out. One neat thing about this venue is that it's not an all or nothing proposition, but rather teams are scored based on a number of criteria including how many clues you need. One puzzle inside didn't work exactly as intended for us. In contrast to another venue I've been, the staff here was very attentive to the game and so were able to quickly intercede both via the screen and by coming inside as needed to make sure things operated properly. This is important in a timed game. You don't want your proctors ignoring you as precious time ticks away. Afterwards, the staff told us how our score stacked up against staff and other team scores. It was cute that they are encouraging that way. Expect to take the obligatory team photo with your team name and score posted. They will email it to your team contact. We were bummed when the hour was up, not merely because we didn't make it out. Time seemed to absolutely race by because we had a ton of fun. I will definitely come back to Escape Indy again. read more

I am a huge fan of escape rooms - I first fell in love while playing them on my iPad. I loved the challenge and using my brain to figure out clues to eventually break out of the room. When this new trend of real life escape rooms became a thing, I was so excited to try them out. I've been to two others in the past - one in NYC and another here in Indy and I have to say that this one by far was my favorite. From beginning to end the experience was great! I loved that we were briefed in the beginning which made it feel more real and like our search for clues was more urgent. We did the room for Mr Dupree's office with a large group. I went with my boyfriend and we were in the room with another group celebrating a birthday. We didn't know them but quickly introduced ourselves and all worked together to find clues. We had a great time! Once in the room we used teamwork to search the room and put clues together to unlock the next clues. I love that we were given multiple hints throughout our hour in there. Each clue was very helpful and everything made sense. We were able to escape with 6 minutes to spare! This was the easiest room there but I would love to try more challenging ones. It's not easy and you have to move fast, but it's very fun! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes to figure out mysteries and is good with challenges. Tried a different activity, an escape room, spoiler alert; we did not complete the mission. Upon arrival the staff were pleasant and explained the rules. Liked that they had lock boxes to store personal items, e.g., phones, purses, smart watches. Of the 6 of us only 1 had tried an escape experience previously. Our mission was quite challenging. Lots of intricacies and without the staffs occasional hints we would have not made it as far as we did. The starting off with handcuffs set an uncomfortable space, for me. I cannot stress how happy I am with our trip to Escape Indy. From the very beginning to the very end, the team was absolutely wonderful. I had Groupon tickets for 6, and wanted to have a family member use 4 more groupons so that we could all be in the same room together. I had family coming from out of state and other family coming from northern Indiana, so that we could all do a mission together. Matt had been emailing with me back and forth. He was very helpful and was quick with responses, and I think quick and helpful communication gets taken for granted in the world we live in, so to have him help me get things settled for all 10 of us was very appreciated. The day finally came, and I am very happy that Christian was there to greet us and to be our help. Christian was EXTREMELY accommodating as a few of us were late. After we all arrived and were ready to go, my mom began to have the shakes, and he told her he had no problem waiting if she needed to run over to Subway next door to get a cookie or chips to help with her sugar. He was the perfect employee to be paired with. He was extremely patient, friendly, and played the part so well. It was obvious that he loved his job. We had a blast. Words cannot describe how AWESOME this place is. In October, a few friends and i were going to go and most of them had to cancel due to Covid-19. Matt, with Escape Indy, wasted no time to ensure we would be taken care of. The second time we went, we took a couple that had never been to an escape room and we did the James Bomb room. It was AMAZING!!! Super fun! The host, Emily was phenomenal. She did a great job setting the mood for the room. I look forward to returning to do the rest of the rooms!! If you are looking for a fun date night idea, this is a great place to start. Honestly, it's what you make of it. If you go in with a not so very good attitude, you won't have fun. James Bomb was da bomb!! Excellent room! We had 10 ladies for a girls night out and escaped with a little more than 3 minutes to spare. Definitely a lot of tricks and challenges in this room and quite a few unexpected surprises. A few members of your crew should be a bit limber for this room, nothing too crazy but a little bending or climbing is needed. Loved this room and Caitlyn was a great Mission Operator. This is our second mission at EscapeIndy (Mr Dupree's office is fun, too!). Highly recommend EscapeIndy. They have trunks where you can lock your valuables up and hold on to the key and the venue itself is locked from the outside so ring the bell upon arrival. read more

Had a blast going to Escape Indy and working through Mr. Dupree's Office. My wife and I decided to try this for a first time on our 5 year anniversary. Online registration was a breeze, directions were spot on. The only slip was the garage across the street closes at 9pm, so we had to park around the block. Not a major issue. Ring the bell and meet your handler. We were teamed up with a mixed group of people that we didn't know, a couple of friends, BF/GF couple and a teenager group. We all worked well together and managed to escape with around 16 minutes to spare. Definitely check this place out if you like puzzles. We plan to go back for the other rooms. read more

SO MUCH FUN! It was my first time doing an escape room and it exceeded my expectations! We booked the room with 4 of us and we had 4 others join our team. I would've preferred having the room to ourselves, but it was out of our control :/ Luckily we all worked well together. I would definitely recommend the beginner room - Mr. Dupree's office before doing the difficult levels. We made it out with 3 minutes to spare and it would've been a bummer to not make it out on the first time. It was definitely challenging, even for a beginner level. I have tried out all of the different escape companies and this one is my least favorite. The room participants were 1/2 adult and 1/2 teenagers. For a "beginner" room the clues were very abstract and difficult. Having been to an "intermediate" room here previously, the clues were much easier to follow. Disappointing for a room of teenagers that had never done it before. To get into the lobby the door code didn't work. We had to wait for someone to notice we were outside and wanting to come in. Glad I tried out this company but will be sticking with the others moving forward. read more

I just had my first escape room type experience here at Escape Indy, and had an absolute blast! I didn't know what to expect, so went in with zero preconceived notions as not to color my first time. I went as part of a large group of friends and acquaintances, along with my husband. We naturally went about trying to find clues while helping one another out. I won't give any details, as not to spoil it for you, but let me say that it's so much more interactive that you might expect. That's what made it so incredibly fun! Very disappointed. 5 out of the 7 people in our group were new to escape rooms. We did Dr. K's Lethal Injection. We chose that room to have a challenge since it is listed as the most difficult room. What we didn't expect was to be stymied by technical issues. One of the first things you must do is figure out the password and log in to the computer. We discovered the password and could not get it to work. We had 1 person with over 30 years experience working in the computer industry, a computer science teacher and a person working in a computer networking position for the government. The employee had to eventually come in to look at the computer. It took her several attempts to get it to work. A lot of our time was wasted because of this. The room was well designed and definately was a challenge, but I will choose other escape room options in Indy. read more

My first experience at Escape Indy and my second experience with an "escape" room. My group of 7 chose to do the Mr Dupree room, which was listed as easy/beginner. None of us thought that it was easy. The nice thing about this escape company is that you can have unlimited amount of clues (another one in Indy only allows 3 clues). Our "helper" was Ali and she did a great job explaining things at the beginning and then helping us along the way. We had fun talking with her about it afterwards too. We ended up having trouble with two of the props inside the room. With one of them, she had to enter the room and help us. The other one, a laser, was off mark and so she just had to tell us where it was suppose to be pointing. Nonetheless, we ended up escaping with 1:15 left! It was fun and we enjoyed ourselves. We used a Groupon and were able to book the room $150. It's normally $28/p. They have trunks in the lobby for you each group to lock up their belongings, no cell phones allowed in the room. read more

Went with a friend and our daughters and their friends too. First timers and we were pretty excited to see if we could accomplish a mission but mainly for the kids to try and achieve a goal and bond at the same time, and we would be there to help. While the game was set up and very well planned, very neat! We were pretty disappointed that we were put in with other people as well. It made for a different experience than what we were expecting. However, I was disappointed that since I was responsible for the booking of eight participants, and because one of our party was unable to attend, I expected either a refund for the one absent participant or at least a complimentary waiver for the next time I return with another group of my friends. I won't be back. Neither will my friends. Similar establishments are out there and they will hopefully be more accommodating. This has been my FAVORITE escape room I've ever done. I can't remember the guys name that was our room operator but he was awesome! We went 10/14/18 around 6pm and finished our room with 12 seconds left! This room was well put together, it was a really clever idea (dr kevorkianstein's lab) and the room operator was helpful with hints when we hit a wall but not too involved or not involved enough. The game was hard enough that our group (who has done escape rooms across the country) had to think hard but not so hard we couldn't do it at all. Stood outside in the cold for 30 minutes as we were told to arrive early. The doors were locked. We attempted to call however no one answered the phone. We eventually left a message advising we were leaving and to contact us. We called back again over an hour later and spoke with Evan who advised he was not at our location in Indy rather he worked on the MN and took the "overflow" calls. Eventually we were contacted by Jordan who advised us that we were not able to get a refund because we did a Groupon. So our fun familly outing turned out to be a total bust and a waste of $150. I have been to a couple of places to do escape rooms. The location that I have been to the most was great, but I thought that I would try a different company. That is how I ended up at Escape Indy for my birthday party this past weekend. I gathered up a total of six people to celebrate my birthday, and we were paired with a family of four to play Dr. K's Lethal Injection. I have to say, the room had a lot of interesting variety to it, and I enjoyed the premise. But that said, we had a TON of trouble with the room because there were three different important components that did not work at all. The game runner had to stop our time a couple of times to try to help us out and come in to fix something, but even so, she couldn't make certain things work, even with the correct answer. She had to call in a colleague to help her with the room (after our time was up!!) in order to get things to work properly. We were unable to break out because of those items not working. I don't want to be too specific and give it away. But ultimately we got very far despite having so much trouble. I am pretty sure we would have escaped if all of the components have been working. As it was it ended up being really frustrating, and I am not sure that I would go back to this location. There are other places in the city that while not being perfect have never in my experience had broken components in the rooms. When you have broken things in a room that makes it impossible to accomplish the task that you're doing, that just ends up making it really upsetting, especially for how much these kinds of games cost!! We still had fun, but I think that this location has some serious issues that need to be worked out. I'm not sure that I'll be back. read more

If I could give this establishment a ZERO star... I would! We were in town visiting family, and had a time set for 10am on 11/25, and were told to show up 30 mins prior to our time. So we parked our cars... paid $6 each in parking fees... went to the door, and rang the bell (which was supposedly our first "mission"), and nobody came. We called the phone number, left a message... no return calls. We also called multiple times. We waited over an hour with our group of 10 people, and nobody showed up. We kept calling and got in touch with an Evan in Minnesota because they answer the "overflow calls"... but he saw our name was on the list... but he couldn't do anything for us. FINALLY, a lady named Jordan called, told us there was nothing she could do about giving our money back! I understand we bought through a groupon, but a company who does not hold up to their end of $150 business transaction should give us our money back. Bad business! We will never go back, and will tell everyone about this experience. read more

We paid for the James Bomb escape room. We were about 10min away from the room being over (Which everyone knows thats a good amount of time). We were trying to solve a certain part of the puzzle, but the code was not working on one of the locks. We were given a clue, and we eventually were given the code, but the code would not open the lock. We tried to tell our room supervisor that the code was incorrect and that it was not working. Eventually time ran out, and we had our supervisor try to open it with the code, but she could not get it open. We were also told another part of the room was not working as well as she was about to explain everything. We were told the general manager would call us first thing tomorrow to see what she can offer us. A whole day goes by, and we call the establishment. We were told the General Manager left for the day at 2pm, and she never communicated with us at all. We called the 3rd day, and we were able to get a hold of her, but she had no clue who we were at all (Even after 2 employees leaving her phone calls and texts). We eventually said we were the ones with the broken room, and she pretended she was about to call us. She explained the situation and believes we made the box "Malfunction" when we didn't do anything to it besides trying to open it with the code. She would give us $10 off per person for the same room and our score would not be on the leader boards. She didn't offer us another room, nor did she offer the room free to do it again. The management connected to this establishment is a joke. The non-managers were a great experience to deal with, but when it comes to their manager. Don't expect anything great. They have lost 4 potential players due to horrible management. read more
