Patient review by Mary P. for the Endodontic Group: I want to extend a great big thank you to Dr Lisa Wendell & her assistant Cathy at the Endodontic Group in Framingham, Mass. for the excellent care they provided me & for their kindness. I needed to find an Endodontist to perform two root canals after my crown came out & two teeth broke off down to the gum line. Because of all the excellent reviews I saw on line for Dr Lisa Wendell, I decided to make an appointment with her. I am so glad I did! Now that my work with her is done, I would like to confirm those positive reviews and contribute another one to them. My two initial appointments with Dr Wendell were for treatment of a gum infection I had developed because of the above. She put medicated packing in my gums & put me on an antibiotic & probiotics. Once she was sure the infection was cleared up, she scheduled my root canals. To be honest, I was a little anxious about having work done on my teeth during this coronavirus pandemic. However, after seeing all the 'thorough precautionary safety measures' that the entire staff & practice were taking, my concerns were alleviated. Dr Wendell is "outstanding" in her field of expertise & the quality of care I received from her at each appointment was nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL!! Her professionalism, along with her gentle & genuinely kind & warm personality, made me feel relaxed and totally safe. Who thought two root canals could actually be stress & pain free! Dr Wendell & her assistant, Cathy, kept me informed & reassured throughout each visit. My root canals & the healing process were without complications. This is rare for me because of a bleeding & clotting disorder I have. I also appreciate so much Dr Wendell's followup phone calls after each appointment to check and see how I was doing. Now that I have found the "best", I won't go elsewhere! I will be recommending the Endodontic Group (and in particular, Dr Wendell) to my family & friends. I also want to thank the amazing staff at the front desk who were consistently pleasant, accommodating, and professional. A very relaxed & personable experience from check in to check out. The time I spent in the waiting room was minimal! I was very impressed with the entire practice & give it 5 stars across the board! Sincerely, A grateful client, Mary P. read more

During the quarantine I began to get a tooth ache on a Thursday. I really didn't think much of it, thought maybe I had something food related stuck in between so I took care to floss that area that night and rinsed my mouth with peroxide and went to bed. Well, that didn't work, it got worse and worse through the weekend. I called my dentist on Monday and he prescribed an antibiotic which ultimately did nothing. My face swelled up and he told me to double up but there was really nothing he could do. He gave me the number to the Endodontic Group and said call and get an appointment as soon as they are taking patients, might be May or June. So I called and they saw me the next day which I couldn't believe because everything was shut down. Dr Choi was my doctor and he did an exam and determined which tooth it was. He prescribed a different antibiotic and said we would do the first root canal appointment the following Tuesday. I hate going to the dentist! I feel like it's a torture chamber but this group is so amazing and made me feel calm and like I was in great hands. The whole staff is really nice and took the necessary precautions to keep us all safe during the Covid-19 crisis. I am now free of pain for the first time in three weeks, thank goodness for the Endodontic Group. read more

A while back, a friend of mine, Ricardo, began having tooth pain which indicated he needed a root canal. So, I called my endodontic group and fortunately they were able to see him quickly. And I was told he could be seen by my endodontist, Dr. Erik Gonzalez. I had previously brought him to Tufts clinic, but because it took the student 3 appointments to finish one root canal, and so my friend was in extreme pain in the time between the visits. You save money by going to the clinic but the physical suffering is not worth it when it takes weeks to complete the work. I was very happy that Ricardo got to experience having a root canal completed in one visit and by someone who is very caring, informative, and experienced in his field. I have been to Dr. Gonzalez a number of times and I never felt pain or discomfort. He answers all your questions and is a calm, comforting endodontist. Compared to his previous root canal work, this procedure was easy and without any pain. I would highly recommend the Endodontic Group, and especially Dr. Gonnzalez. And I appreciate that my friend could receive an appointment soon and with an endodontist I was very familiar with, someone who was a good fit for my friend. read more

It's great when you can look back on a root canal as a nice experience. This was the case from the moment I entered the well run, friendly but business like office until I left with instructions for care and follow up, and materials to give feedback to the practice. Not only was there no wait, but on my second visit I happened to arrive early, and was taken in almost immediately. Dr. Carp was my endodontist. He's got a calming way about him, always keeping you informed about what's going on, warning if he thinks you'll feel some discomfort, and apologizing if you do. At the same time, I learned after the procedure that there was an imperfection in my tooth that he had to handle, and he did so with professional expertise and without in any way alarming me. I was impressed by the modern equipment he had, and the ease with which he and his assistants used it. This is a well run, respectful practice, and, at least my experience is that it goes far in removing the anxiety and discomfort usually associated with endodontic procedures. Also no complications, no swelling, no nonsense. read more

I had to have an emergency root canal this past week during the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. As you can imagine, I was nervous about the procedure and associated risk of having a dental procedure during the middle of a pandemic. The Endodontic Group in Framingham was amazing. They had all the safety protocols in the place and I felt very safe going there not only once but twice. Dr April Alford who did the root canal was great. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. She explained the entire 3 step procedure and during the procedure she was skillfully quick. She did an amazing job and as a result, I had very little pain or discomfort. And she was super NICE. The front desk staff was also pleasant, efficient and accommodating. Overall, no one wants to get a root canal but if you have to have one-go here. You won't be disappointed read more

Had my first root canal this week and although my expectations were rather low considering what procedure I was going in for, I was amazed by how smoothly and painlessly the procedure was, thanks to Dr. Carp and Lorraine. Dr. Carp made sure I was comfortable, let me know what was going to happen as he was doing it, kept me informed about how much longer it will be and kept checking in to make sure I was ok. I had no pain at all during the procedure (and very little afterwards). His voice was calming and reassuring. Lorraine, the dental assistant, was also wonderful, checking in to see how I was doing and even offered me a blanket! A follow up check-up is offered at no cost. I highly recommend Dr. Carp. And if all other endodontists are as good as Dr. Carp, then I would highly recommend the entire group. read more

I had an excellent experience here. My dentist referred me here after having trouble performing a root canal on one of my lower front teeth. The canals in that particular tooth split and it was really tricky for them to get at the infection as there were increasingly narrower and winding canals the deeper they penetrated into that tooth. Dr. Choi was fantastic! He spent nearly 2 hours skillfully and patiently whittling and weaving through the canals and eventually getting to the source of the infection. This was huge as the next option would be an expensive implant. I'm grateful to Dr. Choi and the excellent staff! They are professional, talented, and caring. read more

I got referred to the endodontic group by my new dentist. I needed a root canal and the scheduled me for the next day after seeing my regular dentist. on the phone and in person the front desk was so kind. The doctor saw me explained what I needed and answered all my questions. He even did my root canal the same day, which was really considerate. The root canal was completely painless, I didn't even feel the initial shot to numb my mouth. They were caring and considerate. I am very pleased with my experience. Hopefully I wont have to go back there, but if I need some more dental work, I will go back to them! Would refer friends to them. read more

I've had a few roots canals at this office, from my first 20 years ago, to my last one, last week. My sons have also used their services. Sincerely speaking, we've had truly good experiences here. The endodontists were very forthcoming when explaining my situation and what needed to be done. The office was also quite accommodating and understanding when I had to reschedule appointments. Give it a try, I think you'll be glad you did so. read more

Finished (4) root canals performed by Dr. Stewart Carp. I would give him 5 stars plus. What a great Dentist. Had no pain whatsoever either during or after. He was very professional and asked me many times if I were comfortable. Not that I am looking forward to more root canals, but if I were to have others done, it would only be performed by Dr. Stewart Carp. Very professional Dentist but also a professional office. read more

Two root canals in a week. This is the best group. Referred by my dentist, I have seen dr Nagle, dr Cuttrell and dr Wendell. Dr Wendell was wonderful. (She was the dr I saw this time.) She got me in very quickly and honestly, other than a pinch for the needle, absolutely no pain, not even the next few days. The office staff were great, and the assistants were as well. I'll never go anywhere else. read more
