The whole weekend we were there, it was 84 degrees and it takes forever for the condo to cool back down at night, so we had to use a VERY LOUD fan that was provided in the closet. According to front desk, it is a winter destination so not all have AC. But I asked if the ones with AC is more expensive, she said it's all the same price. So I guess we just got discriminated and placed in one that had no AC. 2. The fan was very dusty and dirty and we had to put it together as it wasn't readily operational. The bedroom was very small so the air was very dry with the fan blowing right at us we never got to sleep more than 4 hours. Every night. Couldn't leave windows open because the neighboring room's patio is very reachable so anyone can just jump over to the next unit. 3.The bed is hard. The pillows are flat! This is the worst bed set I have encountered. The pillows are of no use. 4. The bathroom sink faucet is broken. Everything that could go wrong in this place. 5. The WIFI NEVER WORKED. They gave us a password for the WIFI, tried in all different devices, in different days, called them and said it should work but never did. And we never got to finish important work on the computer All in all, for convenience of walking distance to restaurants and shops, this place is good. But if you came here to relax and be able to rest and sleep after a long day of activities, you won't be able to as it is not comfortable. Unfortunately never staying here again.

Next day we realized our shoes, my dog's paws, some of our clothes are covered with pain, LITERALLY RED PAINT. This people just got this place painted and they didn't KNOW. The whole outside of the house was painted. All the furniture was moved on one side at the garden and we couldn't have access to the half of the house. Because of the paint the covered the heating system so all 3 days house was freezing and they told us there is a small electrical heater(900$ FOR 2 NIGHT BTW) And even tho they accept 30% refund first(just after we found out paint situation, not the heater, blood on sheet or my shoes yet) when we realized it's definitely not the worth of what we paid they started ghosting us. Booking couldn't reach them out and they are telling us they can't do anything. I would give less then one star if I could

There are a lot of things to appreciate about this place. Apart from the name (and a love of…read moreplastic flowers outside and in), it is put together with good taste, and the strong personal touch makes a weekend here like being in the home of a friend. It set out in a very characterful way, is very well appointed and avoids the rustic trappings some other cottages in the Sierra have (no love bird birdhouses or deer-with-candlestick-in-its-back lamps or paint-by-numbers bear pictures here). Its also ideal for a small group or a couple (and this seems a rarity in Tahoe: 8 person cottages seem the norm). Our party was three adults, and it worked really well. The location, in the wooded back streets of Kings Beach, is nothing special (at least in winter when we were there) but we were out on the slopes all day anyway and it provides convenient access to North Star and, somewhat further away, Alpine and Squaw. It is also really close to the I80 and Truckee. Despite a snow storm the weekend of our visit, the back streets were well-ploughed, and we had no problem getting to it. We had a caretaker-oversight which soured our arrival (no water) but the owners were very responsive the next day, got it sorted out quickly and were generally very helpful.

Beautiful lakefront property - even if your room doesn't have a view, the huge deck and tables to sit outside and enjoy the full-frontal Lake is awesome.

We figured the kitchens would make this easy, which still allowing the family to geta change a scenery in an area with a lot more hiking and outdoors fun than staying at home. Reserved a two-bedroom suite through the hotel - but you can also get similar rooms via other websites directly from private owners. The prices seemed to be similar. The room was great. Decent kitchen. Bunk beds in the kids room. Two decent sized bathrooms. Great little balcony that was shaded more of the afternoon. The rooms come with underground parking that lets you park really close to an elevator and have quick and easy access to your room wherever you are in the Village. We didn't use it, but they also a locked bike storage area in the garage that you can access with your key. We will be bringing the bikes next time for sure. This is great perk. The room was clean and we definitely felt safe there despite the ongoing pandemic. The only two hiccups were the lack of any bath mats in the restrooms (but they brought us some when we called and asked for them) and the phone in the main bedroom had a flashing red light indicating a message, but there was no message, meaning the light would not turn off. I had to hide it in the nightstand drawer to sleep. Strange, but not a big deal. We will absolutely go again. So convenient to be able to walk to everything, order takeout and take it back to the room and enjoy a nice large room.

Tony (the caretaker/landlord) is the man! Check-in was super easy and Tony was extremely flexible meeting us at the house for check-in and showing us the ropes. Tony was easygoing, friendly and really wanted to ensure everyone had a great time (we did). I would highly recommend this house for any large groups, but especially bachelor/bachelorette parties. Would also be more than suitable for family reunions, business meetings, etc., etc., etc. We were a group of eleven guys visiting for a bachelor party and everyone raved about the house. Other houses I've rented on VRBO have been super uptight about leaving the house absolutely spotless but Tony made check-out easy and reasonable. Took an hour on the morning of checkout to pick up and take out garbage and that was that. Additional bonuses include WiFi that works! And there are two WiFi networks so the entire house/property is covered wherever you go. It was also great to have two living/sleeping spaces separate from the main house (pool house and billiards room). If anyone in your party needs some peace and quiet or privacy, they can easily be accommodated. Overall, had an amazing time in Tahoe and spent a lot of time at the house just hanging with friends and taking in the spectacular views! Our first experience here was at the Onyx Gem, 17 I think, in Sept 2015. I remember thinking this could be a good winter location to rent. In the summer, it is walkable to the beach but bring cold weather wear. The Onyx had such a tiny water heater that we ran out of hot water with just two people showering. It also has two open walls with beds right against the half walls in the loft area. The upstairs beds were unbearably uncomfortable so we used the downstairs room only. There are electrical cords all over the place so if you have anyone in the under four crowd, stay away. Our second experience is at #54, carnelian charmer. The water heater is larger, so we haven't had any hot water issues. The heat in master bedroom is very loud, my husband was unable to sleep at all the first night. This place has tucked away all electrical cords and the loft area has one open wall without a bed directly adjacent. There is most of what you need kitchen wise except I would BYO crockpot and potato peeler. Sharp knives and cutting boards were included. The beds are moderately comfortable but the large selection of games was a huge plus for us. The washer and dryer appear new and the sound bar is top notch! In both cases the toilet paper and facial tissue were the worst, we BYO always.

There is plenty of space. It is clean and located close to the lake, close to Sugar Pine. There is a fun pizza parlor within walking distance. There is a SaveMart near by as well. I highly recommend staying at the Gutowsky Family Cabin for a great get away.
