I started training with Empowerment Inc (formerly Empowerment Partnership) in 2019 after I had just come off a binge of Tony Robbins events, looking for something more. I went to UPW (twice), Life/Wealth Mastery in Fiji, and Date With Destiny in Florida (twice). The only one of those I would recommend to extroverted friends is Date With Destiny. Why extroverted friends and not introverted friends? If you've been to a live Tony Robbins event, you know it turns into a loud concert a at different points each day and you need to bring ear plugs if you value your hearing. The biggest difference that made a difference to me between what Tony does and what Dr. Matt does is that Tony *uses* NLP (he rebranded it as NAC) but doesn't *teach* NLP. Fun as his events are, I grew tired of going back to an event for a "fix" and wanted to be able to do it for myself. I got that in NLP Practitioner Training (Prac) and NLP Master Practitioner Training (Master Prac) with Empowerment Inc. I got such incredible value from the Prac training, that I immediately signed up for Master Prac. At my Prac, I was chosen as a demo person for Parts Integration and completely let go of my fear of committing to a romantic partner. And, for the record, I was not pre-selected and didn't have any sort of discussion with the trainer before that segment; I had no idea I would be chosen. When I brought my mom to Prac, she let go of a lot of fear she had around money and hasn't gotten the "dear in the headlights" dissociated stare during financial conversations ever since. After attending Master Prac and releasing my baggage around relationships there, I was able to attract the most amazing partner who I am now married to. I would love to address some of the complaints of the 1-star reviewers because I have such a different perspective: 1) a lack of interaction, 2) not answering questions, 3) too much storytelling, 4) reading off of PowerPoints, 5) pitches for future trainings. 1) A lack of interaction: In my perspective, there is plenty of interaction. They teach to all the different learning styles. If you learn best by listening, seeing, or doing, you'll be able to enjoy the training. With each new concept, they tell you why it's relevant to you, what the technique is about, exactly how to do it, give you an opportunity to practice and apply it with a partner, then offer time for questions. Segments are typically 90 minutes long, which is perfect for my attention span and my bladder capacity. Lol! 2) Not answering questions: They answer questions when it makes the most sense (at least to me), after they have presented the material and you've had a chance to try it out. If they didn't do this, participants would be there for hours answering all the "what if" questions from people. They literally ask "What questions do you have" after they have completed presenting each concept. If you save your questions, you'll either have your questions answered in the process OR you'll get a chance to ask at the end before moving onto another concept. 3) Too much storytelling: This is super subjective and I happen to like storytelling because I learn so much, seeing stories as metaphors that I can apply to my own life. If it was 100% content with no stories, that would be so boring to me. I think they give a good balance. 4) Reading off PowerPoints. This hails back to the learning styles. Some people are more visual and need to see the words on the screen to absorb a new topic. I recall receiving MUCH more information than what they can fit on a PowerPoint slide. The information on their slides is very big-picture and they give the details when they talk about it. It goes slow enough that you can write down all the info on the slide (if you're Type A like me) and not so slow that any part of it is boring, at least to me. 5) Pitches for future trainings: I may be biased on this one because of my Tony Robbins background. At Tony's UPW, it feels like the last day and a half is a pitch-fest. What they do at Empowerment Inc is not that. They take time out of a couple mornings out of 4 days at Prac where they talk about future training opportunities and they still put content in there that I felt I benefited from. After paying so little for a 4-day training at Prac (where the math works out to less than $8/hour over 4 days with the current $294 price tag), I felt totally cool with them marketing their higher-ticket trainings for a bit. And I ended up signing up for one that felt like a good fit for me. This company is truly the best school for communication, NLP, and dealing with mental and emotional baggage so you can get the results you want in your life. I would not have the beautiful life I have today without this company and I will forever be grateful for finding them. read more

RUN LIKE HELL.... This is a CULT Me and my friend left half way through after the 4th 90 minute sales pitch for a $8k crap trip to Hawaii. It's total brainwashing and they gaslight you claiming your negative experience is "baggage" The owner will try to suck your soul out through his fake Hawaiian chants. And then form a TRAMA BOND with you. You know, I prefer my existential crises without a membership fee. Turns out, constant enlightenment comes with a hefty price tag, a time share and questionable dress code... Felt like a knock off Tony Robbins event in windowless half ballroom. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!! They have culturally appropriated Hawaiians. And constantly lie through their hours and hours of story telling- they made many racist comments. You are stuck in a chair from 9am-8pm (minimal brakes) Their trainees AKA "handlers" are pushy, ease drop and try to isolate you from who you came there with. I don't usually do reviews, but I had the worst experience here and have to share after wasting my time and money. I'm sure you will find this information helpful. If I could give this company ZERO stars I absolutely would. This is basically a training that is DEALTH BY POWEROINT. No inspiration or Empowerment here. There is very little participation engagement. The manual they give you is 200 slides of pages. All they do is read of the slides. You can tell they have been doing this for years and just reading from the slides each time they present. Dr. Matt and his team read off slides and tell jokes for 8 hours a day for 4 days straight that's what this training is in a nutshell. The relevant information that they do provide can be explained within a day max. The information is extremely dry and lacks empirical evidence. The presenters use stories to try to connect the information. There is very little audience engagement. The people that are choose for demonstration are handpicked from by the staff for fake responses. Questions from the audience were ignored several times all 4 days. This was big problem for me and others as well. I came to the training to become empowered. You will sit there for 8 hours just listening to Dr. Matt makes corny dad jokes. A few things that I found consistent was the lack if authenticity of Dr. Matt and the other presenter. When people engaged and raised their hands the presenters ignored people. The staff wasn't very pleasant and used sarcasm instead of answering questions directly from the audience. The staff displayed micromanagement behaviors toward attendance by standing behind the rows while people take notes or looking over your shoulder when you engage in a activity. I came for personal development if you are interested in bettering yourself. BE WARNED THIS IS NOT THE TEAM YOU WANT TO ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH. This is a scam to try get you to come to Hawi for their future training becuese thats were Dr. Matt lives. Every other slide the presenters trying to upsell you spending 5,600 on how they want you to attend Master training. Please save yourself TIME AND money and associate yourself with a RESPECTABLE company and leader that will support you in a creditable way. My experience was basically sitting in a chair for 10 hours a day listing to dry information that isn't very relevant and or creditable. The training last from 8am- 8pm with three fifteen-minute breaks. If you leave for any reason at all the company will not allow you to get the certification. Thats also apart of the scam. read more

Thank you God I'm cynical. I'm shocked by the marketing and NLP techniques used to capture the audience and fool them to the highest degree. If it was in the east, people would have walked out for sure. I stayed 4 days testing my patience and also fell for the hanging carrot that something is going to happen on the last day. There were so many others who were so deep into this (I was shocked) and HUNA they sell totally felt like a cult. This was the first training I have ever taken in my life when there is no active participation by the audience and its a one-way traffic almost. I still managed to ask a few questions but could not challenge anything throughout. I felt there was no point trying to make a point for the sake of it. I attended the NLP leadership four day seminar. Beforehand I did some research on NLP, and was excited about learning about the science behind the language of the brain. There was some of that on days one and two. But the seminar took a turn into areas that have not been tested scientifically. We were shown many techniques that had absolutely no real science and/or research behind them. There was no data offered to show that they had been tested and actually work. One example: we were shown a technique that would alleviate cravings for our favorite food. It was essentially aversion therapy. I learned in my college psychology classes that aversion therapy has a low rate of success. I found all of the techniques we learned and practiced ad nauseam to be a complete waste of time. We were not allowed to ask questions during the explanation of techniques and subsequent role playing of the techniques. They carefully screen questions by requiring us to place written questions in a fish bowl throughout the day. A few were read each morning, time permitting. After the conference I looked up Dr. Matt and Dr. John, the founder and the lead trainer of the seminar. I doubt either of them are actual phDs. Dr. Matt claims to have a phD in something I can't find on the internet, and he doesn't disclose the university. Dr. John claims to have a phD in philosophy from an online college in Hawaii. The whole thing seems at best sketchy, and at worst a complete fraud. They really hound you to spend money to go the next level. I looked online and discovered the costs is about triple what another ACCREDITED university offers. Needless to say this program is not accredited. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! read more

Dr. Matt is an elaborate story-teller and a fraud . While NLP remains unregulated and anyone can teach it , I can't respect a person who talks badly about other established, respected teachers just to build credibility. I also don't like that he fabricates elaborate stories just to create a "buy-in" with his audience and build artificial rapport and credibility . The information you would learn in his seminars is all online -Richard Bandler was one of the main architects of NLP. The intro to NLP serves as an affordable bait to get people investing in his more expensive courses - upwards of $10,000. Also this man uses dark magic and chanting to create "experiences" so that people will "believe" and sign up for those other courses and maxing out their credit cards . He also does trickery with the lighting during meditations , with lights pointed directly at the audiences eyes so that they "see" lighting during his dark chanting. He also doesn't allow people to ask questions really as he is running a PowerPoint slideshow the whole time and is trying to keep his audience in a trance. It basically is a show, the Dr. Matt show, not a dynamic seminar . I believe he has some of his own people in he audience claiming that they came from Canada or Mexico or the East Coast just to show how "valuable" that the training is . If those people seriously came that far for his fraudulent crap - I seriously feel bad for you that you're that dumb! The worst of all is that Huna is a completely fabricated, made-up fiction and has nothing to do with ancient Hawaiian heritage or culture . It was invented by an American named Max Freedom Long in the 1930s who made it up according to his own studies of theosophy and hermetics and Hawaiian linguistics . Dr. Matt not only doesn't share who invented Huna or how it came to be but he also fraudulently claims that he comes from A 28 generation lineage of Huna. This is technically impossible as Huna was invented in 1935. The content of his seminars is lacking and a completely waste of time . He bounces all over the place with his "spiritual entertainment " fabricates rehearsed story telling that is aimed at getting a triggered reaction from the audience to pull out their credit cards and keep them in a perpetual momentum/addiction to his bogus full of crap seminars . Save your money and your time . This guy and his whole organization and wife is a fraud . Luckily I realized in time that this guy is a fake . After going to a few of his time-wasters I noticed that he changed the stories each time and is a complete liar . I have no respect For him. He has no ethics and is not a "teacher" or a "Kumu" whatsoever . You've been warned - if you've already invested in this fraud, please wake up! He needs to be sued for all the lies he's claiming about Huna and his family. Huna did not exist before Max Freedom Long created it. Google Max Freedom Long and Huna and see for yourself please .... Several people recommended I take a "Full NLP Practitioner Certification Training" course with Dr. Matt James of NLP.com (and hypnosis.com). Most Neuro-Linguistic Programming courses that I've seen offered cost between $2-5k so this appeared to be a steal at $97 for a 4-day training. I've been curious about NLP for awhile and was hoping to learn techniques to incorporate into my therapy and coaching practices. It seemed too good to be true, so I did research online with mixed reviews. Some said they found some value, others said that Dr. Matt James was a scam artist with questionable ethics (apparently he's being sued by his own father for fraud? ouch). Despite all the red flags, I decided to sign up, pay the $97, and take the course in order to make my own educated opinion about what it was all about. I cleared my schedule for the 4-day course, starting at 9am every morning and ending at 8pm every evening. The NLP Practitioner Certification Training was held at the Embassy Suites by LAX. Everyone got a name tag, a binder full of handouts, and a Hawaiian chocolate candy. Strangely, we didn't get an itinerary or agenda of any sort, so we had no idea what to expect or what the timeline would be for things. Dr. Matt James (in his signature Hawaiian shirt) took the stage and introduced himself. He took a long time trying to debunk all the negative talk about himself on the internet. He told a LOT of stories which were mildly entertaining, but not relevant to the material. After a full day, we got about 30 minutes worth of instruction on actual content. The rest of the time was spent by Matt and his co-presenter telling long-winded stories and attempting to upsell programs that cost more than $97. I decided to go back the second day, hoping for more content. It got worse. Matt and his co-presenter attempted to sell even more products and courses, ranging from "buy our $17,000 stop smoking product to make $100k+ a year!" to "sign up for the master practitioner course in order to get more instruction on these techniques! What you're experiencing right now is just a small sample!" Oh dear. In 11 full hours, we received, once again, about 30 minutes of actual useful content. The rest? Heavy sales pitches for multiple products and additional courses, thinly disguised as ways to help us become more financially abundant, spiritual, etc. It felt slimy and I was very disappointed. I tried again. On the third day, during a break before what seemed like ANOTHER heavy sales pitch, I had to get a straight answer from someone. i went up to one of the coordinators, a blonde lady named Courtney. My friend and I spoke with her at 10am and the exchange went like this: Me: I appreciate what you and Dr. Matt James and The Empowerment Partnership are trying to do, but I scheduled 4 days out of my incredibly busy schedule to be here. I'd really appreciate it if you could respect my time by telling me when we're going to get into actual content. Courtney: Thank you for being here! The content is woven into different presentations throughout the day... Me: Please be real with me and I'll be real with you. I know that your business model depends on upsell sales, and that's fine. But if today and tomorrow are going to be repeats of the first two days, which are heavy pitches for expensive products and skimpy on content, then I'd really appreciate your letting me know so I can spend my time in ways that are more valuable to me. Courtney (who, to her credit, dropped the BS and got real with me): Okay. You can leave during this upcoming presentation (an upsell for a program about Huna). Come back after lunch, around 3 or 4pm, and we should be doing more content then. We don't really have a structured schedule so I can't guarantee anything, but... Me: It's 10am. Are you telling me that there won't be any serious material for 5-6 hours, and that there might not be after that? Or tomorrow? Courtney: There should be content later in the day tomorrow... Me: Thank you for your honesty and for the information. I really appreciate it. And then I left. Disappointed with NLP.com, Matt James, and the sleazy way they tried to pass off a 4-day, 44-hour heavy sales presentation as a "training" course for NLP. Legitimate? No. Authentic? No. Ethical? Absolutely not. Do I think that someone might be able to benefit from this? Maybe. But I absolutely didn't and neither did my friend who also left. I'm sad that I wasted 2.5 days of my life and embarrassed that I spent $97 to be sold to. I felt duped, slimed, and just plain lame to have fallen for what is, in my opinion, an unethical scam. Ultimately, I'm glad I went so that I could form my own opinion, which is that this "NLP training" is an unethical scam with 5% useful content and 95% heavy and irrelevant sales pitches. I just completed the 4 day $97 training in Newport Beach. I walked away beyond happy with the value that I received. Dr. Matt and Nicholas are excellent trainers and made the long days and in-depth material interesting and engaging. Sure, there were sales pitches woven into the material. And what would someone expect when the total cost is $97 for 4 days in a prime location? In my mind, it's to be expected. Thankfully all offers made were of interest to me. I could have paid thousands for practitioner training through another company. Then STILL be told to come back for the master practitioner training down the road. I'd rather spend less now, and have the funds to take the additional certification as well. Overall it was a great experience. I received way more value than I paid. I will definitely be signing up for the master practitioner training when they hold it in July. For anyone not looking to be "sold to" - I'd suggest never turning on the TV, opening a magazine, or driving :) I say that to be humorous & it's true. read more

I recommend that if you take this class be sure not to challenge Dr. Matt. I made a private comment on the provided 3.5 card about an unfortunate racial comment he made but when he read the card to the class, he edited my comment to absolve himself of responsibility and manipulate the class. During a break, I tried to have a reasonable conversation with him about it and he told me I chose to have baggage around race, tried to NLP me into believing I said things in the conversation I would never say and told me he "didn't know how to be politically correct." I told him I felt that his disingenuous response undermined so much of the foundation of his teaching that I had considered leaving. To which he responded that I should. When I turned to leave, he convinced me to stay...only to have his assistant ask me to leave after lunch. I guess his ego needed that. There was no anger or obvious discord but he and I had a conversation that was VERY awkward, very tense and very confusing but -- I practiced the act of forgiveness he showed us the day before, forgave him and immersed myself back into the teaching (although if I'm being perfectly honest, I knew the second I sat down I wouldn't be allowed to stay). To be kicked out of the class because he was embarrassed and felt guilty is a poor reflection on his teaching. The reason I was given was: other students had made comments about my card so Dr. Matt and his staff thought it was best I leave. So, was it that other people also thought his comment was inappropriate and so the person who mentioned it got kicked out? I'm not clear. Out of respect, I didn't speak to anyone else in the class about my feelings so it wasn't that I was influencing others, it was solely because he was challenged. read more

I have 20+ years of C-Level business experience. I have undergone executive coaching in my role as Chief Information Officer, and if I chose to go back into C-Level Leadership and needed coaching, I would turn to Matt James. Why? Because he gets results. I've spent over $50,000 on marketing, sales, and communication training in the past five years, and this is the ONLY training where I have seen a 1,650% GAIN on my investment after 15 days. In all four events, I never saw Dr. Matt or anyone else become defensive, oversell, over-hype, or "hard sell" anyone. I just took my second NLP Practitioner training with Empowerment Partnership in Toronto, and I would like to thank the team for delivering such an increadible value with increadible integrity and congruency! My son and I took this 4 day seminar first time last year, and since then he took a Master Practitioner training with this company in November last year in Newport Beach, and Huna levels 1 and 2 in Hawaii. I recently completed the 44 hour NLP practitioner training. NLP is complicated and it's something that must be practiced to advance in it. I had read books on the subject but the training was better than books because it's interactive and learning takes place by doing, not reading! There is also, just like everything, the fact that some will have a talent for it while others will not. Even after 44 hours I was left wanting more and scheming ways I could do more extensive training with Dr Matt and his team. This has nothing to do with the fact that I was definitely hypnotized during the 44 hour training! Look, I would have never thought it could happen to me but I had the Juju put on me. My eyes became spinning galaxies and my mind became a fertile ground for planting beautiful seeds. I broke trance once and looked around the room to see everyone's faces transfixed on the speaker, no movement, perfectly still. Amazing. At the end of the training I bought a 10 dollar hypnotism CD for smoking cessation. I used it in my livingroom and let myself be completely vulnerable. I definitely went under. That was 6 weeks ago and I havent smoked since. Positive changes since the training; I write more, I get up earlier, I quit smoking, I'm happier. Whatever happened worked. I'm grateful. If your looking to be crammed into a class with 60 plus other idiots and have slides read to you then this is the class for you. Worst class experience of my 30 plus years in eduction. The NLP Practitioner course from Dr. Matt and The Empowerment Partnership is the best value in training that I have ever encountered. I could compare it to a $1000 4 day training from the biggest name in the business and it totally cannot compare to the value from Dr. Matt's class. My girlfriend was at the same $1k training and felt she got more value in Practitioner in the first day than from the other guy's 4 day. I originally learned NLP in 2001 and paid $4k for 2 weeks back in those days. Dr. Matt covers more material in less time than anybody, and has clearly developed the course to make it easy to learn the most in the least time and respect our busy lives. Providing the follow up action plan makes it so much easier to get certified than the amount of time it took in the old days. Plus you get to integrate by having a simple step by step action plan to follow. If you want to go to a training where the big deal is a bunch of dancing between frames and so little content that you are falling asleep, go to one of those. If you want to learn something, and have trouble keeping up taking notes because of the incredible quantity of information and value being offered, then come take the NLP Practitioner training. Even the old Millionaire Mind Intensive from 10 years ago isn't close. You get a small group, and 4 days of the most powerful information you can possibly get for changing your life. For what it's worth, I was present at the training where leo c. complains that a student wasn't cared for after the parts integration demo. When the student left the room the person in charge went immediately to check on him, closely followed by Dr. Matt. Dr. Matt spent 1on1 time with the student, then brought him back up on stage to finish the presentation. So he was taken care of immediately and with a positive result. It was also made extremely clear that people who have just learned NLP at the practitioner level should NOT be working with clients like the person who came up on stage. I suppose leo was too busy crafting his complaint to notice these things. read more

Beware that Dr Matt uses hypnosis and high pressure sales techniques. On last day of the 4 day Practitioner course he will give you a few hours to decide to sign up for Master Practitioner 14 day course and get $2,000 discount. You have to pay up front over $4,000. At that time they do not tell you that there is a $1600 cancellation fee. If you decide to cancel for any reason they will not let you apply $ toward any other course instead. They teach flexibility but they are not flexible. I did not appreciate their customer service. It took them 2 weeks to make a decision about not allowing me to take another course instead of 14 day Master Practitioner course. They would not allow me to speak to decision maker and would not give me their identity. I do not trust that the Empowerment Partnership actually practices what they teach. read more

I went to the 4 day NLP training course in Portland, OR in April, 2017. I had no prior experience in NLP aside from listening to an audiobook and some YouTube videos about it that led me to his training course for $194. It was very intense training, and a lot of information is given in such a short amount of time. It is helpful that they give you a binder of material to go home with along with additional resources sent via email after the training. I have been on a self-improvement kick for the last 2 years with no sign of slowing down, and this training has been a blessing in my life. It has really opened my eyes to how easily and subconsciously people are sabotaging themselves in all areas of life, and making it so much harder to be happy. I am big on helping others as well as myself, so I plan on using this information and techniques to assist others through their problems as well as fixing the issues that have prevented me from living up to my true potential in life. I feel like I have taken better control of my mind. I signed up for the Master NLP course, and can't wait to attend this training in November. Be warned- My life went straight downhill after these "lessons". I went to my first training with them in 2012 I think. My heart sank when I recently was looking at the audio CD set of the training(s) that I had purchased. I noticed "It's not about the teacher, it's about the teachings" quoted written on the package. The main trainer/owner was credited with this quote. The main teacher seems to be saying on the cover of his lessons "don't worry about me or what I'm doing, listen to the teachings". How can anyone learn anything if the teacher is poor or lacking? The teacher has everything to do with the teachings. There are no teachings without the teacher. If the teacher misspoke, then the teachings you receive will be incorrect. Also when I was taking my "trainers training" they were looking to make the classes huge. It was bad enough with the size of the group we had. It was like we were being processed in little mini-groups led by students who just "passed" the Trainers training the year before. When it came down to doing the exercises the student teachers did the work. When I stood up on stage to speak during what was meant to be a type of test that could be failed, I could barely speak, I was paralyzed by fear... none of this seemed significant to them. So they will pass you and label you a "NLP Trainer" even if you stand on the stage stammering and sweating... so zero standard of excellence. I could be literally retarded and they would certify me as a trainer... and that wouldn't be patronizing at all would it if something like that was done. Another thing- if you see the main trainer put his hand on his chest and say "from my heart..." when answering a question or making a statement, know that this is a hypnotic technique that he teaches in trainers training in order to induce agreement and have other perceive him as one who speaks the truth from the heart. It's just a induction technique so people lower their defense and see him as "like them". Just be warned- I consider NLP to be one of the best stepping stones I've ever encountered. Choosing the Empowerment Partnership to do the training seems to be one of my worst mistakes of my life. I sell you watered down gas... it's not about me, it's about the gas! I sell you watered down lessons and you get watered down results.... it's not about me, it's about the teachings! If anything goes wrong its between you and the teachings I'm just the teacher. The teacher has very little to do with the teachings because "it's" not about the teacher... whatever "it" is... Final note- They work mainly with elementals that they consider "angels" or "guardians" or something like that within their Huna work. Just be warned that all of the teachers, and anyone who has taken the Huna training from them, actively use occult forces and methods. They will use hypnosis and occult forces to influence your free will. They will justify these actions with the concept "actions taken under the influence of hypnosis are already desired by the person taking the actions under hypnotic and/or other occult influence." read more

I just attended the 4-day marathon NLP Practitioner training held in Boston. The instructors were Dr. Matt and Nicholas. Dr. Matt sets the stage and Nicholas works through the specifics. This is an experience that no one should miss. There was some information marketing. It wasn't too much (for me), and something has to make up for taking the price from $2,000 down to $100. At the beginning, I did have a bit of the "why is Dr. Matt just telling stories?" By the last day I was happy he did. My head was full to overflowing. The content is something that I will use every day to come. My high school assistant principle gave me my favorite quote about education (which he attributed to Horace Mann), "Education is that rare commodity where the buyer often seeks to get as little as possible for his money." If someone didn't find enough content, they weren't looking hard enough. My head is still spinning. read more

Here's what you need to know. NLP is not a well regulated industry. So what Dr. Matt James did that is so genius, is that he decided to become the regulatory board himself. At his course he tells you to go on to yelp and review him positively. He knows that there are negative reviews on yelp and his students are so smitten in the course they don't get that is not fair. He is defensive and does not really allow for questions and answers during the five days. If he allows you to ask a question, it is because it allows him to go into his own agenda of extended storytelling and bashing of critics. There is a reason why people have taken the time out to write the details of these reviews. You will get something out of the course, the problem is he himself is not congruent. He's driven by money to a point where he forgets to give you good content for the amount of time you're spending in that course. Above all, he ask you to go do a 30 day post class follow up to get " accredited". What you need to know is that there was no one government approved accrediting board for NLP! So the accrediting board that he recommends you to, at the end of the course... Get this... He is owner/co-owner of that so-called accrediting board... Yep! belongs to him... Should he not be disclosing that to people so you understand that he's taking your money for the course and sending it directly to his own board to get "accredited". It's a shame that between asking you to go to Hawaii to learn how to Hula... And his indifference towards student... And his general in defensive nature... You better think twice about doing anything after the five days. It is a good way to get a very Limited insight into this subject. Do not make any major sacrifice to attend this seminar ..mind what You do with your time. His business model is truly a genius ..go from state to state accumulate new people/followers and get them to continue to subscribe to the next thing he's selling... Upgrade after upsell, after upgrade next thing he teaches you to become a coach... perhaps and then show you on how you can become a life coach , because after all that is the next best lucrative thing... In his program or maybe ... perhaps even sell you a franchise of his business... People who continue to move forward with him we'll see but at the end of it all you will have a business that you could have created by just looking online and using Google. I really had no idea what to expect when I attended the 4-day Practitioner Certification Training this past October of 2016. All I knew was that I was ready to make some serious changes in my life and hoped this would provide some direction. From the beginning, I felt like I was in good hands with Dr. Matt James and all the staff. It is obvious they put a lot of thought and attention into the details of this program, making it an overall comfortable and fun experience. I appreciated Dr. Matt's knowledge and passion for what he does, along with his fun teaching style. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I go out of the program. I've just finished a training with Dr. Matt 10 days ago and it was incredible. I was skeptical coming in since the price seemed pretty low for a 4 day training and was surprised with the amount of materials covered and how much I got out of it.
