Since living here we have gone through several new housing management. They are terrible with…read morefollow up, and putting in maintenance request is a waste of time. They try to pin it on you, and say your responsible for fixing everything . I've been given reassurance about keeping the garage till my case is closed with the insurance company because otherwise the tow company comes through and tows my car when I was given permission from Heather to keep it. It's such a mess, and lack of communication here, especially when I'm busy at work. Maintenance has entered our apartment without any communication before as well, and needs to be addressed. The dust in the ducts need to be professionally cleaned out it's bad for my health, and I've heard a rumor from one of the past neighbors that the reason they left was because of the mold, and they were not wanting to clean it up but cover it up. The dog poo outside is ridiculous no one cleans up after their animals, thank you to the ones who do. The hallways in the building are just as disgusting. Before we had these cleaners that would come in every once in a while, and now we don't have anyone come out with the new manger's involved. There is dog pee stains and graffiti and the paint jobs the maintenance people have done looks horrendous. You need a professional to come out, and clean the walls and repaint not just cover up stains it looks real shitty and especially when they have me paying as much as I do for my space. The hallways always reek and it's been addressed, and never fixed. I'm not one to complain but with living here as long as I have it's ridiculous at least when I first moved in the first housing managers actually got stuff done Shannon was a great help for me. Hopefully the new housing lady will realize, and help follow up and get stuff done. Maybe put a pool in because the other amenities you guys offer are not the best.

They failed to inform me they rented the apartment before the end off my lease. They collected a months rent from me and from the new tenant. A violation of Iowa law. I found out from the utilities company it had been switched to a new tenant. I called the local manager and she told me a check had been issued for over $1000. The check has not arrived so I called the local manager and requested a tracking number. I also call the main office. They have ignored my request. I has been well over the 30 days required by Iowa law to return the deposit and the rent should never have been collected. They have not provide me any explanation. I can only conclude they have no intention of paying the debt. Take this into account if you are looking at this apartment or any Perry Reid managed apartment.

At the…read moretime I choose this due to its close proximity to Altonna where they have Wal-Mart and many restaurants close by, and also close enough to my workplace in Des Moines. I did not have any issues living here for a year. There were obviously some things that were not perfect, but almost nothing will be for apartment living and for a good price. Quick notes, hallways were clean, laundry room hardly busy, no issues with neighbors. One highlight for me about this place was their fitness room in the community center. Had a treadmill and elliptical, some machines and 2 tv's. Very bare minimum stuff, but that's all I needed. On certain days they would be busy, but once you learn the schedule of the regulars you can find a good time to go and it will be empty. Overall I had a satisfactory experience living here, management was very friendly and I never had an issues or complaints about anything that could reasonably be changed.
