TESLA Wall Charger Installation I had Jerry Rubio from The Electric Connection install my HPWC today, & I couldn't be more pleased with the work performed. Jerry & his partner, showed up on time, surveyed the job requested, & provided me with a quote to do the job. In under 3 hours the work was complete! He had me bring the car into the garage to make sure everything was working okay. They cleaned up after themselves & even patched some extra holes in the garage. I mainly worked with Charles as my point of contact, and he could not have been more patient with me with the whole process. First class in every way. Our "new" house was built in 1937 and had a scary Zinsco fuse box, some of the original cloth-covered wiring, and some jerry-rigged additions and sub-boxes. Hugo came out and spent a couple of hours writing up an estimate, and after we accepted the bid Romero and his assistant Jorge did the work. The job was estimated for 5-7 days and 12 breakers on a new 200-amp box, but it ended up taking 9 days and required 21 breakers. Romero was methodical, answered all our questions, and these two gentlemen had an incredible work ethic, were prompt, and often worked past 5 p.m. to get the job done. We lived in the house during the job and they worked around our needs and left the place perfectly clean every evening. Our old house has first class electrical now and enough capacity left in the new breaker box to handle anything that may come up. The original bid for our 1550 sq. ft. house was $17.9k. With a few additional receptacles we requested during the work and the county permit ($354), final cost was $18,764. This review is for the Robertson location. The owner "Kim", is honest and very knowledgeable. He's willing to help and save you money regardless of whether you hire The Electric Connection. I consulted with him about a household generator, transfer switch, etc. I offered him $75 for one half hour of his time that I had used; a rate commensurate with his company's service charge. He refused the money, said he was glad to help and told me to call him if I had additional questions (!) It's hard to find trustworthy vendors but confidence in this business is not misplaced. Experience in Monterey Park wasn't so hot. Different folks in the San Gabriel Valley and in several occasions I felt that the quality of the work was OK and the prices were unreasonably high. I found Electric Connection through Home Depot's contracting services. JC and George came out to West LA to install a ceiling fan in one room and some recessed lighting in another. They were great to work with and really took the time to understand how I wanted the lighting to look. I purchased the materials for the job in advance and they installed everything. The pricing was competitive, and I was very pleased that their service included patching all the holes they had made to install the wiring. This is not the practice for all electricians; another company I'd called told me that they did no patching afterwards. (I was still responsible for sanding, texturing, and painting.) My family and I are very happy with the installation and the service. I plan to call EC in the future should any electrical issues arise. read more

My husband and I are new home owners in Los Angeles. We had some electrical work done by various people previously but ran into some problems a bit later and used The Electric Connection and the difference in quality and speed and service was quite an improvement. Once it was known we needed some work, the scheduler rapidly called us up and made an appointment. The electricians were on time, were pleasant and did such a good job that I could not immediately see where they did the work. My husband was expecting their work would have to be patched up around where they installed a phone jack and a new electrical outlet where there was none. The job was so good that you could not even immediately see where the installations occurred as they blended so well with the walls. Second visit, the person's manners were exceptionally good, despite the fact he had to wait for me to get up and answer the door. Someone in the office just kept ringing both phones until I answered. No make wrong at all on the part of the electrician who rapidly handled the situation we called about and explained very simply what had been wrong and how he fixed it. We phoned The Electric Connection mid-may to have some ceiling fans installed and one specifically that needed to be RE-installed as a completely bass-ackwards, wannabe electrician butchered a former job. They promised us service within couple of weeks. We were fine with that, but within three days we were told that they had an opening even sooner than promised and could get to us within two days instead. That was nice. Omar and "the other guy" showed up (ok, I forget his name, but he was just as awesome as Omar) and got right to work. They were both polite, courteous, and worked at lightning speed. They got here at around 2pm and had all the new ceiling fans installed AND the screwed up job of my Great room completely and beautifully repaired and reinstalled before 6pm the same day. The job looks totally professional and we could not be happier with the work done and the pricing is reasonable. Because of my friend's experience that he had with this company, they were the only electricians I called to install lights, ceiling fans, and switches into my newly purchased condo. They quoted me pricing and time needed to complete the job over the phone. When the electricians (Manny and Arthur) arrived on the day and at the time we agreed on, they did everything in the time they quoted for the price they quoted. No surprises! They were very meticulous in respecting my belongings by covering everything up with drop cloths, keeping dust at a minimum and cleaning up after themselves to where you would not even know they were there except for the fact that there were new lights and ceiling fans installed. In fact, after they were done with the job, I thought of a couple more jobs for them and am bringing them back next week. I highly recommend this company for any electrical work in your house.
