He might be a nuts and bolts man but, he should be dealing with tenants. The carpet is the lowest quality imaginable for NorthShore prices and isn't maintained very well The halls are noisy , and the general climate in the building is unfriendly. Many have moved out due to the horrific inability of the manager to provide a warm community feel. I wouldn't recommend anyone to live there

Management was as pleasant and as helpful as it could possibly have been, and the move would have been slow and frustrating without this help. Downsizing from a large home to a two-bedroom apartment has been its own set of challenges! All considered, this was a wonderful choice for us. Entrance through the front door is difficult for an individual burdened with a bag or package, and doubly so if that person has mobility challenges.

We had done quite a bit…read moreof research and looked at three or four other communities in the region that were nice, but we ultimately chose Chestnut for a variety of reasons. First and foremost were the staff and residents. They were all some of the warmest and friendliest people I've ever met. Not only were they warm and friendly but extremely helpful and very competent, as well as accommodating. The food was excellent, and the entire building was very clean, well-maintained, and quite attractive. There was plenty of programming and amenities both at Chestnut Square, as well as a short walk away in The Glen Town Center. Just across the street is a beautiful natural area with paved paths, a lake, shops, and plenty of places to explore. During her time at Chestnut Square, Sandra made many close friends and even developed a wonderful, close, and fulfilling romantic relationship with another resident who lived down the hall. The most important thing, however, was the dedication the staff had toward the happiness and fulfillment of all the residents. It really showed how happy everyone was in the community. Pretty amazing! When Sandra's health declined and she needed more assistance, Chestnut Square was able to provide additional on-site support through its phenomenal sister affiliate, Partners in Healthcare. The caregivers from Partners treated her and her loved ones like they were their own family. This was all available in Sandra's original apartment with a very thoughtful aging-in-place model, so she wouldn't need to transfer to another floor or facility. The care was exceptional, providing her with warmth, dignity, and respect. It comes as no surprise that Chestnut Square (a non-profit organization) is driven by their dedication to residents as well as staff--who all seem to really enjoy working there. Our entire experience with Chestnut Square was wonderful and provided the whole family with tremendous peace of mind!

I am so glad i chose to move her when i did. I have progressed to needing a walker and 12hrs a day private caregivers. Both are accommodated enthusiastically here. I know that this residential community has extended my life actively. The activity calendar offers something for mind, body, and spirit every day. Location is the best with shopping and medical care within a mile or two. The decor and residential suburban settings is superb. As is the residence itself. If you need it come join our club. This is the place!!!

Servepro was initially responsible with the remediation - returned phone calls right away and…read moreremoved damaged pieces immediately. That was on February 28th. It's now June 16th and they have not been back to put everything together. We call repeatedly and are told that Jeff will return our phone calls and never hear back. They sent out a floor guy but he can't do anything until the cabinets are installed. Servepro kept telling us they can't do anything until floors are installed. Now they say they are waiting on a cabinet but I am confident nothing is happening. I used servepro at the recommendation of an amazing plumber as I was told servepro handles everything beginning to end and it would be less stress. Well it's been more stress than ever and here I am with a torn apart space one week before having 14 people stay at my house. I haven't been able to work efficiently as I walk through this space daily to get to my work supplies and my kids can't use their play-space as it's next to all of this torn up stuff. We have a counter and sink just laying in the middle of where they normally play/watch tv. I can't recommend based off our experience.

On the other hand - once we found a condo we wanted to rent we trusted him and paid him over $100 in application fees and then all of a sudden the Condo owner pulled out and he did NOT return the money to us. All Russell did was give us a meek apology which does not cut it for us as it is a matter of principal that when an unethical owner pulls out it is his responsibility to make sure we get refunded the app fees

Yet, their downstairs neighbor smokes inside the apartment nonstop, to the point where my mother has trouble breathing, and all her clothes and furniture smell like cigarettes! Every time I visit, I can barely breathe in the apartment, the smoke has infiltrated every item they own! They have formally complained multiple times and nothing has been done! What a horrible way to live! Beware if you have senior parents do not let them live under these terrible circumstances, unless you want them to develop health issues from second hand smoke!!!
