To whom it may concern; We are founding members of the…read moreMontvale New Jersey Lifetime Fitness. We've have enjoyed the club for over 12 years. We know that we are paying a premium price/dues and felt that the facilities and service were worth it. However, things have changed over the past few years. The bottom line is that we are still paying premium prices, but no longer getting premium service. We used to refer all of our friends to this club, but in good conscience we no longer refer. The machines are not well maintained, and when one is taken out of service it can take 4 to 6 weeks to repair. A number of the TV 's around the club have faulty feeds so pictures are intermittent. Many of the screens on elliptical and treadmills do not work. This situation has gone on for over a year, and management has been informed many times over these issues. The club has oversold its membership so that parking is a problem. Aurora classes are always waitlisted. I utilize your personal training services weekly and most recently, I spoke to the General manager, Dominick Delli Paoli, about a situation that has persisted for years. I am referring to classes that take place in the middle of the exercise floor. The instructor, Micah, blasts the music so loudly that I can't even hear my personal trainer and the sound is so loud that it is offensive. She lowers the music when she is giving her group instruction and then returns to the blasting music. I've spoken to management during the year and nothing has changed. Yesterday, I went to Dominick's office to request that he has the music lowered. I was shocked by his response. When I explained my request, he replied,"I will not do that!" He was rude and dismissive. I am stunned that the General Manager of an upscale club be so rude to his members. He sat at his desk and did nothing. I went back to my personal training very upset to be treated so poorly. We would like nothing more than to see this club return to its former excellence, but it's hard to believe that could happen with this current general manager. Respectfully,

We've been Life Time members for years and previously used another club where the staff were consistently friendly. I won't dwell on the facilities here--fees are high, amenities feel dated (though I know upgrades are underway), and comparable clubs in other high-cost areas offer more. That's not my main concern. My issue is the pattern of rude behavior at the front desk and the lack of awareness and follow-through from management. Most troubling, my child recalls being called "illegalist kid in the world" by someone wearing a Life Time jersey in the Kids Club. I reported this to both management and the Kids Club manager. There was no follow-up. My child stopped going for a while--especially disappointing since the Kids Club was a big reason we joined. I also notice a clear difference in how people are treated. We continue to go because it's convenient, not because I want to spend my hard-earned money where discriminatory behavior is tolerated or customer service concerns are ignored. For what it's worth, not all Life Time locations are like this--our experience at other clubs has been much better. I hope this feedback prompts meaningful action: acknowledge the complaint, follow up with families, train staff on respectful conduct, and ensure accountability. That's the standard members should be able to trust

I signed up for 24 hour fitness at Ramsey at Thanksgiving time. I've used the Ramsey gym as well as…read morethe Paramus gym. I'm very disappointed in the equipment on the elliptical and it's rattling and shaking as I'm working out. The equipment is not being kept up. This also includes the bikes in cycle class. A few weeks back the class that I like on Thursday night was canceled. they no longer have pump class on Thursday evening. One of the reasons I joined this gym was because of the classes. In the few months that I've been here classes have been canceled or there aren't enough classes for me after work. I use the elliptical religiously, but getting on the machines has proven to be a challenge. There are so many people using the machines and waiting in line to get on the machine and this impedes my workout. The women's locker room and restroom have been consistently untidy every time I've gone to Paramus it's very disappointing. I'm scared to use the toilet because they're just not looking clean and kept up. I also did a review for the Paramus 24 hour fitness on YELP and on Google reviews. The manager reached out to me and asked me to submit my concerns on their online portal which I did a month ago and no one has reached out to me. I've belonged to many gyms in my time and I'm very disappointed in 24 hour fitness

The review is from November 24 - March 2025 (not too recent) Hoping I can get an update on some of…read morethese areas in hopes I might restart my membership. The staff was helpful and friendly and the overall vibe was good for the gym. Not every machine worked all the time but thats ok too. Cost for quality is a balance. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. Mold in the showers and on the ceiling of the bathroom, garbage (for several days/week) in the showers and dirt in the corners and on the floors. Super easy details to address with a bit of attention. The yellow caution tape on the ladder into the pool became a permanent fixture. I wonder if it is still there. For the cost, the limited staff is definitely going to be stretched, times are tough and I appreciate that. But I think with some targeted attention to some areas can improve the overall feel of the gym and the community could be more forgiving. Any updates on what operational changes have taken place to ddress these areas?

Coming from Equinox, I was impressed by the similar modern vibe and high-end amenities they offer, though the products are not identical. The facility is exceptionally clean and modern, featuring a great selection of classes, a dry sauna, and even a convenient juice bar. I particularly love their flexible membership options that don't lock you into a long-term commitment. It's an excellent value proposition and a fantastic option for anyone seeking luxury fitness without the heavy price tag.

For some reason Drop Fitness doesn't open until 7AM on weekends! So you lost me there. I also noticed they close very early M-F and even earlier on the weekends. So I took a couple of classes and the yoga room was enormous- for such a small gym I don't see why they need a yoga room the size of a basketball court. Then I took a class with Joanna "JoJo" who might have been having a bad day or is just not well mannered but either she was unprofessional and her attitude was very unattractive. Came across like she is better than everyone else and snobby- not my cup of tea. Pro's- the gym is pretty clean, the locker rooms are nice (but no steamer) and the members seem like they have a nice vibe. I joined LifeTime instead as operating hours are very important to me and I can't take classes with instructors who carry themselves like that.

After just a few short weeks of intensive work-outs with David, we experienced a level of relief from joint problems (affecting knees, hips, shoulders, ankles and wrists) that had seemed unattainable despite several rounds of effort with physical therapists and consultations with orthopedists. David clearly has a keen understanding of joint function and inter-relationships among different parts of the body and nervous system, and a skilled eye for subtle signs of injury, muscle imbalance and misalignments. He not only designs the customized workouts to solve the problem, but also is passionate about educating clients on how to move with greater agility, flexibility and strength in ways that minimize toxic stress and build resilience to injury and the effects of aging, making it a great investment that goes well beyond our short-term recovery goals. He has a quirky and humorous style with enough "drill sergeant" to help you move beyond your comfort zone and accomplish things you wouldn't have thought possible or even worthwhile (like dead-lifting 150 lb), but balanced with enough support and encouragement to keep you from getting pissed off and discouraged. Absolute Fitness is a very positive, welcoming environment. The other trainers are also extremely friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, and they foster good camaraderie among each other and their clients. It's fun and inspiring to cheer each other on as we try new things and struggle to build more strength and skill.
