He dreaded going to school and some of the teachers were not pleasant at all. The main kindergarten teacher seem to care more than others. I've witness teachers treating the little ones..for example by grabbing their arms forcibly and pulling on them back to the classroom while the kid is crying and screaming for his mother. Truthfully, I think they had too many kids in one class per teacher and some of the teachers were not able to control the kids. You're dealing with kids 5 and under...they're going to be wild. If you can't tolerate the kids, don't be a teacher!

They do run a…read moretight ship and all children are expected to behave and complete their work, but the teachers are very patient and work with each child to meet their goals. The teachers have always kept us well informed of my son's progress both academically and behaviorally. They are also very good with military kids (I'm retired military). The class room sizes are kept small so each child gets that one on one help if needed. I love this school.

Pontiac Jr High School is located in Fairview Heights, IL. It's an extension to William Holiday…read moremiddle school (K-5th grade). Pontiac teaches grades 6th-8th. Most children that attend can walk, ride their bikes, are picked up by a school bus or parents drop off. The environment gets the students ready for High School allowing them to have lockers, switch classes and start having responsibilities they didn't have in grade school. The teachers that I have encountered shows care and concern for their students. Sincerely, wanting to see them all succeed and prepare them for their next grade. They also have sports like any other school. Students are not able to participate if they do not maintain a certain grade average and attendance. If your child is absent, don't worry, you will get a call to find out why. You also have access to call or email your child teachers for any concerns. My son has moved on to High School but he visits on a regular to support the Volleyball team. At the end of the day... I don't have any children to attend Pontiac but I would recommend it for others.

They have a iPad program for their students. They have a vibrant art program on going. There are different exhibits displayed each time I come up here. The janitorial staff does an IMPECCABLE job keeping this school maintained and clean. Truth be known I am kinda jealous my kids don't come here
