While the pub provides a really nice atmosphere, the service is slow and the food is worse than what you get in the average British pub. Half an hour after we've ordered our food, we asked how much longer it will take, and they said that they'd overlooked our order, and that they'll make sure that our meals are prepared immediately. Another half our later, when we already considered to leave and asking them to give us our money back, the food arrived. The chips were soggy, the rice wasn't freshly cooked, and the "prawns" in the prawn curry turned out to be tiny shrimps. I'd recommend to go there and have a pint (because the pub is one of the main sights of the town), but get your food somewhere else.

Not actually that bad if you…read morewant a quiet pint watching the cricket in the day, but Saturday nights it turns into a gross microcosm and case-study into why binge drinking is bad for you, kids: testosterone levels are high; the music is bad and deep west Walian accents are a must (although being able to speak yr iaith seems to be beyond 95%). We stayed a night and for breakfast the following morning. Perfect stay after arriving on the late…read morenight ferry. Cozy room with so many windows, we stayed in Room 3 on the corner. Loved the king size bed and wifi works great. We left a star off the rating because of the breakfast - it was included with our room but lackluster and slow. We were the only table the whole time but it took so long to get one breakfast plate. They have a table with other items like yogurt (left out and warm though), milk and cereal, and toast. The juice was ok. Overall breakfast just wasn't satisfying. Room was great though, would probably skip the included breakfast next time though. Wish they had an actual menu.

Great Country pub…read more Never eaten here but it looks good Beer is fantastic as are the locals who are welcoming Why only 4 stars? - parking can be a pain - can always find somewhere but in the summer it can be a hassle
