Go check this out: an outstanding, focused sports bar in the north part of downtown KC! The Dub is zeroed in on women's sports, but mostly, inclusivity and opportunities for all to enjoy a drink or a bite & a sportsball/athletic competition. Whether you fancy basketball, soccer, or hockey, there is almost always either college or professional women's athletics on the TVs. Don't sleep on the popularity of women sports; rather, ride the wave and enjoy how much fun it can be when everybody can celebrate athletics regardless of gender. The decor is KC-focused (think Current) or women's athletic memorabilia, with the 'Locker Room' adorned with jerseys and other regalia. Awesome stuff! But the chances are that you're there for a drink, and you can get a FABULOUS selection here. Specials every day, and some standards on the menu that you shouldn't miss. Craft beer is on tap, much of which is local, and cans of known labels are on the menu. Recommendation: the Jewel Box, made with local J Rieger vodka & a berry/lemon syrup blend and simply smashing! Seating is find yourself a spot, if there is one available, and there is a patio that is off to the far left of the bar. There is table service with orders from the menu, and during busy times it can get fairly cramped, but that just means they're popular! The shareables menu is not deep but what they do, they do fairly well. Enjoy the view with sight-lines that are pretty strong and TVs in most any direction. You're there to have a good time, and The Dub is giving us all that opportunity to do so with a vibe that celebrates women and women's athletics.

Stopped in here on a Thursday night to watch the USWNT game. It was pretty busy, but we were able to quickly find a table. Our server came quickly with waters and we got some drinks. The server accidentally brought me the wrong alcoholic beverage, but she quickly corrected it. My wife and I shared the full pan of the vegetarian nachos. They're covered with white queso, shredded cheddar, jalapeños, black beans and pico, served with sides of salsa and sour cream. They were good. Our server was quick and kept our waters filled. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the bar was run given it only recently opened. They had adequate staffing. The bar and restrooms were very clean and there are plenty of TVs to watch the game. I'll definitely come back here to enjoy more games in the future.

Loving The Dub! The space is larger than I expected and the Current-colored walls keep the space feeling fresh and bright. There are 2 additional rooms off the main bar area, 1 of which can be reserved for private events. Not too long ago the entire space was closed for a private event, so a good idea to double check they're open before visiting. All the bartenders were delightful - welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The menu is solid and there are even multiple vegan options. The hummus plate was great and more of a platter given the generous portion. But I'll be returning for more of the vegan chili, yum!

Very cool sports bar for fans of women's sports, no matter what your gender. Stopped in on their first official weekend. Friendly staff, quick service. Had a cold beer and the flatbread pizza. Lots of women's sports on the TVs, volleyball, soccer and there was men's football game playing as well

They have an amazing selection of local and non local brews obviously! The service is top notch they make sure you are taken care of and they explain how all the taps work. I come here because it is convenient, always has been for me and now even more so because of the streetcar and because of the self serve beer wall. If that intimidates you don't fret because there is a full bar and some taps behind the bar the bartenders can serve you from. Sometimes I choose to do this because the beer wall can get pricey quickly but, it's a novel and fun concept that works for downtown. The food though I feel is overpriced, like why am I paying $15 for tots that are barely topped with toppings and really aren't even a sizable portion? Last time I was here to watch the Chiefs game I ordered the Rueben Tots expecting a fun pile of classic Rueben sandwich components on top of hot crispy greasy tots instead what I received was a small mound of stringy corned beef and a slice of melted Swiss cheese and a dismal drizzle of thousand island. I had to ask for more sauce on the side because it just wasn't enough for the amount of tots. If these would have been between $10-$12 maybe I would have let it slide and this review would have been different but for $15 I just wasn't too happy. Also, another note the menu online has absolutely no descriptions whatsoever so, if you're trying to place a pickup order good luck knowing what you're actually ordering. This could be an easy fix. The service is okay but sometimes it feels like you have to chase down the wait staff or just walk up to the bar to get another drink or ask for a menu. I'm sure happy hour is fine here but I haven't been for years so, I'm not sure if the prices have gone up for that too. Will I be back? Well yes but, I'll definitely order something different from the menu then the last time around. Maybe 4 sliders for $15 is a better way to go? Because I've also gotten the Rueben sandwich here before for $15 and I felt like it was sparse and the meat was lacking. I do believe they have a pretty good burger deal on Monday unless that has changed.

The food came out piping hot and with the right amount of flavor. The chicken fingers had a great flavor, which complimented well with the honey Dijon mustard. The cheese curds were super cheesy and as long as you ate them right away as with any cheese curds it didn't stiffen up! Per my friend the queso was creamy, her reaction to the full portion coming out was priceless but I couldn't capture that here lol. It came with both tortilla chips and soft flour tortillas. I'd probably leave off the soft flour tortillas because those don't really fit with the idea of dipping into the queso. Our server was A+, very attentive, he kept up pretty well with our table and the others during I'm sure the busiest time with Happy Hour. Kept our water coming, was mindful that Happy Hour would soon be ending and came back by to grab any additional orders which I loved. The ambiance was happy hourish. We were downtown for the New Edition concert. So the crowd was expected but not to loud and rowdy. We were able to walk right in when we arrived due to the time we chose, but noticed the wait forming as we left. We'll definitely be back !! Loved this happy hour.

It was a little confusing at first getting everything set up and figuring out the controls, but once we got into it, it was a blast. The setup upstairs is really cool--it's somewhat separated, which helps you stay immersed, but there are still other arcade games up there so if you're waiting for your turn, you're not just standing around. One thing I really appreciated was the drink selection. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a TON of mocktail options, which honestly made the experience way better for me. It's not something every place puts effort into, so that stood out. The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of options to choose from. Downstairs has more of a full bar vibe with additional games and more space to sit and eat (no VR down there), so it's nice to have both environments depending on what you're in the mood for. Overall, it's a great spot for groups, especially for birthdays or a night out where you want something a little different.
