Also more…read moredifferent types of herbs than I've ever seen in one place (like, every single herb I could think of, they had it); pendulums, silver jewelry, meditation chimes and singing bowls, tarot decks, Tibetan prayer flags, little meditating-Buddha statues, and a couple nice big kwan yin-esque ones, too. I think they had some 'magic wands'. I was surprised that the descriptions on their mason jars of herbs were all for 'witchery,' with not a single mention of their medicinal effects. Stuff like, 'Carry with you to keep animals away,' on the mullein, but nothing about it helping your wheezing stop. I didn't see any books on metaphysics or philosophy, or nonduality or meditation or anything. Just on crystals, and maybe on 'witchery'. The whole place absolutely reeks of incense - like a super strong, artificially-scented soap, that actually leaves a nasty taste in your mouth within seconds, and an odor on your clothes that takes hours to dispel. I was very aware that the woman staff member was watching me the entire time I was there; which made me feel super awkward and not like ever going back. I guess they must have a lot of thieves or something. The guy shopkeep seemed a bit more laid-back.

Lauren quickly and promptly met me at the door and showed me their vast selection of teas. I selected the Polar Escape, a white tea with mint, to help a sore throat. They also had a good array of tea brewers, kettles, steepers, spoons, etc to add to your tea brewing proclivity. I selected a beautiful tea infuser, I can't wait to use. You can buy tea by the gallon or sample premade options. There was popcorn and honey sticks too. I got some popcorn and a hot tea to go. Very polite staff helped me top to bottom.
