They had him sort, count, repeat syllables, recognize patterns, identify various items/numbers/letters, and numerous other tasks to determine where he was developmentally and intellectually. WELL, he did amazing! What the facilitator and I were most surprised about was his letter recognition skills. So much so, that the woman asked me IF HE COULD READ! I know my son is a smart boy, but seeing him excel so far into the testing really blew all of us away! I just wanted to recognize and thank all of his teachers and the staff at KinderCare because, really, I owe it to everyone who has been teaching him and helping him learn more and more everyday. I so appreciate everything that everyone has done for our family and the impact is so clear.

I cannot say enough great things about the KinderCare in Rockland!…read more My two daughters have been going there since they were both 12 weeks old. One is now in Kindergarten and has excelled in reading, writing and math skills which I credit to the amazing educators in Rockland. The teachers are devoted to the children in their care and the families that they serve. Each day is filled with lots of activities and areas for them to learn and develop. They communicate with me on a daily basis about my girls accomplishments as well as the areas that they need some more help with. They have become part of our family and we love them. Kerri, the Center Director communicates with us constantly about what's going on in the center, the fun activities that they have planned and anything else that is going on with my child. She greets each child with a warm welcome each day and always has a special story about my children to share with me letting me know that she sees each child as an individual. I give this school a 5 star rating because it encompases everything that a great child care center SHOULD have!

Whether they ate, or seem like they had an off day are equally important to them. When my daughter has been sick, the director will check in on her to see how she's doing, and not because of her staffing ratios. My daughter is thriving thanks to Angie and all the teachers there! We love Ms. Irena! Also, there is an app which they share naps, notes, pictures as well. All the families that go here are also very nice and we've done a farm trip together with the little ones!

From our initial visit we knew we LOVED this place. It was clean, organized, and well planned. The staff is incredible! I know my daughter is safe, learning and well cared for every minute she is there and can drop her off guilt-free! The app makes it very easy to know what they are doing each day and the photos are fun to receive which is such a relief for someone new to daycare. I highly recommend Little Learners!

This review is long overdue…read more.. My daughter's mother and I have been sending our daughter to Old Colony Y - Striar Child Care since July of last year. I WAS SCARED even though the program was recommended to me by some of my customers; their son attended. Our daughter, nonetheless, was on the waiting list for about a year... My experience with the people who work at Striar Child Care has been nothing short of AMAZING! My daughter has made some incredible bonds with some of the child care providers there. She is always learning! I will say that the child care providers themselves are amazing... I don't know what they're paid but I will say that they're not paid enough. They are not only child care providers but they are also teachers. Some of the providers may not have the sheepskin that's necessary to become fully accredited teachers but, don't let that fool you, they are. It takes a certain combination of caring, discipline and patience to be child care providers and the people working at Striar Child Care have that. Some tips... 1. Striar Child Care allows children to attend two days per week but I would recommend, and I think Striar Child Care would agree, that you should send your child at least three days per week. We started our daughter off at two days a week, she was SCARED, but we noticed that she got more comfortable once she increased her attendance to three days per week. 2. Please be generous to the child care providers at Striar Child Care... Remember, they're taking care of your most precious asset... Your child or children! A sincere "thank you" card? Maybe bring a heaping of food for the providers? Cookies? Pizza? There are about 45 employees so, if you decide t, be prepared! 3. New parents will always worry, we did, but have confidence in the people at Striar Child Care... Show them that you have confidence in them by caring for them. They have TOUGH JOBS; there are, shockingly, some terrible parents out there and the providers try to create an atmosphere that those parents don't. They're also people too! Bravo!
