In August, before my sister's wedding, I booked an appointment at this salon based on a friend's…read morerecommendation. I was very specific about the techniques and cut I wanted and was assured they could handle it. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been switched to a "more experienced" stylist. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially before such an important event. Terrible customer service and I would not return or recommend this salon

Poor Experience - Unacceptable Customer Service…read more The massage itself was good, but everything that followed completely overshadowed the experience. After my service, I paid with a $150 gift card at the front desk. The employee, Jane, ran the gift card multiple times and even said "third time's a charm," then told me I was all set to go. Based on that, I left. Shortly after, I received a call saying there was supposedly only $10 on the gift card. I explained that the card was for $150 and that I had been told I was all set after it was rung in multiple times. I answered the call and also called back to try to resolve the issue responsibly. The general manager, Samantha Goy, called me. Unfortunately, the conversation was extremely unprofessional. She was rude, aggressive, and would not allow me to speak. When I reminded her that I was the customer and was trying to explain what happened, she responded, "That's not how this works." Despite explaining that:    *   I was told I was all set and cleared to leave    *   I did not knowingly leave without paying    *   I had already contacted corporate by phone and email with no response Samantha Goy accused me of nonpayment, claimed I left without paying, and threatened to file a theft charge with the police if I did not immediately pay--while they still have possession of my $150 gift card. I repeatedly stated that I would never intentionally leave without paying and that I was actively trying to resolve the situation through corporate channels before settling any remaining balance. None of this was acknowledged. When I asked to speak with her manager, Sean, I was told he would not speak to me. This interaction was demeaning, hostile, and completely unnecessary. A simple billing issue caused by staff error should never escalate into accusations and threats. I am beyond upset by how this was handled and expected far better professionalism from a business of this caliber. So disappointing.

My negative review is for their payment company…read more. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my membership. I'm not sure how the franchise works. But all I know is I joined in 2020 (during the pandemic).. For a whole year & half everything was good... THEN, they hired a new payment company and everything went wrong... I still have my regular credit card that they have been successfully taking payments from forever... Now, magically with this new payment company, my payments have been "declining"... what's annoying is the fact that the credit card BEEN paid off.. I only use it for my gym membership... so now they've been charging me $40 per month (LATE FEE) on a $20 gym membership... I complained to the front desk MULTIPLE TIMES, they don't understand what's going on... I complained to their payment company, they told me to handle it with my bank... I called my bank and they said everything is fine... WHAT GIVES?!?! So, I yet again pay $40 fee from my bank account now. The payment goes through, I work out a whole week (last week) and then today they tell me it's STILL overdue SINCE MAY!! this is embarrassing AF NOW!! I'm trying to get in and holding up the line cause they tell me I've been overdue since LAST MONTH! Luckily, I find the receipt that was emailed to me confirming my payment... they let me in to workout. But I complained cause why does it show my membership as OVERDUE still... I also complain about my double payments.. and, it's not just this month, it's been literally every month since they changed payment companies... IVE BEEN INVOLUNTARILY OVER PAYING TO WORK OUT! They literally had the audacity to ask me to make another payment today to work out as well.... IF only you guys knew how many ppl I've had join crunch within the last 2+ yrs.. Im literally heartbroken, BUT, I'm all set with crunch! This location is perfect, clean, & is a nice basic gym... but, I wouldn't wish going through what I went through for ANYONE! I would recommend joining another gym until they get their payment system under control... I WOULD NOT GO HERE as long as they continue to use "ABC fitness payment" (BTW, it's in India). You are better off joining a local mom & pop gym! Go to 24/7 FAMILY FITNESS in stoughton, I have a membership their as well and have had no hassle for the last year...

We probably would have done the family plan if everyone was in agreement. Anyhow, probably stay at our current gyms for the time being. Spacious, cardio upstairs on the overpass walkway. Basketball court always busy. Sauna is a bit tight. It gets pretty busy but we didn't end up waiting for anything and got our workouts done efficiently. Free weights, bench racks incline flat and decline. Squat racks, smith machines, cable machines, racquet ball courts, cardio machines and stretching area. They also have a cafe and vending machines for your smoothies and protein needs. Parking lot is limited during peak times but there's plenty of space to find a spot. People make their own too haha. Overall a good spot in the area. Some of the equipment definitely felt like it's been moved, but manager did say they always try to fix anything that's down quickly. Hopefully that's the same with the pool!

I'm a former swimmer & miss lap swimming, so finding a gym w/ a pool would be ideal for me! Unfortunately, the pool has been out of service since November & they've been having HVAC issues + I guess struggling to find someone to come to fix it? Not entirely sure but hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. They have lots of cardio machines, mainly on the second floor. There are stairmasters on the first floor by the locker rooms, weight area is in the back of the gym first floor along w/ a bunch of machines scattered around, and a cycle room. Locker rooms have saunas in both men & women's. I do like that they have a cycle room! I'm a big fan of spin & would like to pop in to one of these classes eventually. If you like playing basketball, they have an indoor court as well! Staff is really nice here & for the most part, the gym was kept pretty clean. The membership plans are quite affordable, in my opinion! I've gone to gyms where I've spent hundreds of dollars a month, less than $100/month, and Planet Fitnesses/Crunch but I would say LA Fitness' memberships are a great deal if you're looking for a place that has more amenities than your typical weights-only gym w/o paying Lifetime/Equinox prices...also actually cheaper than our local YMCAs. Standard membership is ~$30 but if you sign up for a family plan (w/ $99 initiation fee), each person is $20/month up to 4 people per plan. The equipment here does seem worn but didn't come across any that were broken or anything. There are some machines that I was hoping to see and not sure if they will be getting some new machines? Honestly, still debating on joining membership because my main goal was to find a gym that has a pool and it's uncertain when the pool issue will be fixed. Parking: they have a good size free parking lot but it does get pretty packed & many people end up parking in non-spots lol. ***Babysitting is available if you have kids in the household! $10 extra add-on/month per kid to membership***

Signed up at Norwood location in December, so-called "cleaning fee" of $59.99 charged in mid-January. Shortly thereafter, I just so happened to find out about the location move to Canton when a personal trainer called to offer the new member free personal training session. Received the call on Wed or Thurs, club closed on following Sunday. NO posted notifications until only a couple days prior to the move, only saw them AFTER the phone call. Would've been nice if they gave members the courtesy of at least 30 days notice like THEY expect to get. I signed up for THAT SPECIFIC location, not Canton. I was able to cancel, but they refuse to refund the "cleaning fee," even though the company knew very well that they were moving when I signed up and conveniently neglected to mention it. I see from other reviews here that this is clearly a regular practice for these people, and it looks like they've been getting away with it. Talk about unfair and predatory business practices! Totally in willful violation of Massachusetts Consumer Protection Laws. Pretty disgusting, my advice is STAY AWAY. Go to another gym.

There's a large parking lot for parking and it's attached to the mall. They have the standard cardio set up with stationary bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals plus a separate black card member area with tanning booths, massage chairs, and hydromassage beds. They have a decent weight room with about 8 benches and 5 free weight racks to do deadlifts. What keeps me coming here is that since it's in further away from the city, it's less busy than other Planet Fitness locations. When it does get busy, I'm usually able to still use the free weights and machines within 30 minutes. I've never seen the treadmills or ellipticals full. The staff here are pleasant, the locker room and bathroom are large and clean. I personally don't see too many broken machines like some other PF locations. Overall, not a bad place to get your workouts in if you're a shy gym goer like me.
