First time here. I wasn't sure what to expect…read more There are many outdoor venders. I lucked out at the first one I stopped at. I scored a Marc Jacobs foundation New in Box for only 5$ !! Next I found some vintage toys that took me back to my childhood. I restrained myself and only got 6 Mattel toddler Barbie dolls for $10. Same guy was selling some Fisher Price, I was tempted, but the condition was just a bit rough and the price was more than I wanted to pay. Walked around some more and saw everything from fresh produce & flowers to dirty tools, candy, shoes & safety vests a plenty. Lots of booths that had vintage items that could have used some cleaning. I'm sure that sales would have been up if they had just put in that extra bit of effort. Lots of trading cards if you are into that type of thing. More then likely they have been cherry picked for anything valuable already. Plenty of items I have seen online from websites like Allyexpress & Temu. For example the turn your finger green in no time rings! I was actually looking for some sterling silver rings. In one of the indoor locations I found a lady named Julie who had a large lovely booth of high quality jewelry. Beautifully displayed. Tons of selection of sterling silver rings! I was so excited. She was so very nice and went out of her way to help me. She had an excellent selection and the prices were really fair. I ended up buying 4 rings and I will return to buy more. It was the absolute highlight of my visit.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare but I eventually found a spot. Has several food trucks. Outside has plenty of plants for sale for cheap, cheaper than regular nursery & garden stores. I like looking through different vendors and seeing all they offer. Lots of useless things. But also lots of treasures. Fun Sunday afternoon, came home with several plans.

I went to this today and it was an interesting vibe in the sense that a lot of the vendors whom…read moreI've seen at other craft fairs around the city, looked burned out 'cause this was the last fair of the season. Many of which were selling off their left overs, which I don't blame them, being the last craft fair of 2013. There were many "clearance" deals if you knew where to look. Although most seemed exhausted there was a sense of relief that this was the last fair. I finished my X-mas shopping a long time ago, therefore, this was my chance to get something for myself for all the hard work that I did for me. Surprisingly it wasn't as busy as I expected (last minutes shoppers). Maybe this year people actually got themselves together and actually were smart about shopping this year. On another note, there were a few tables that had commercial goods which defeated the purpose of a craft fair. I was disappointed that one of the vendors advertised (and one of the prime reasons why I wanted to go in the first place) wasn't there at all.

As an artisan for the great Canadian craft fair spring fling I was so dissapointed as were many!…read more The weeks leading up to the fair were full of non-responsive emails, missing details followed by emails days prior saying to expect 26,000 people as the cruise ship was docking, so make sure we have lots of Canadian items! The night before we receive and a mail saying that he wants to open an hour earlier for an early bird special! I showed up on time and literally waltzed in, found my booth in the maze of yellow and blue tacky curtains behind the outskirts of the show and tucked behind a wall so anyone grabbing a beverage wouldn't see and most people didn't know there was a whole row behind the actual set up. I requested a chair and table and paid extra for such, but when it wasn't provided I was left to stand for 12 hours as mark (the lack of organization organizer) never showed up, never said hi or came around and when I requested my items from one girl that worked there was told that they couldn't provide it! I wrote mark an email that night, I explained that I like many others were mad, and wondered if since there was so many empty spots I could move, yet I heard nothing from him. Many others left as the cruise ship was picking people up not dropping off, there was no signage outside and the only people walking around were exhibitors! Most never made back the cost of their table! I had women steal from my table but because there was no security I could report, so those ladies made out with tons of stuff! We were informed that the doors would be moved so that there would be more traffic... But they didn't, day two was worse than day one, and when we threatened to leave we were notified of our $100 fee for leaving! I hope nobody goes with this organizer again, he lied, mislead and stole from us. So many people came from far to showcase their hard work and the vendors were amazing! But the organizer fled the fair like the weasel on titanic! We left our family and friends on Mother's Day weekend, lost money and didn't get a reply! Don't ever work with Mark Brown, he is concerned with his own self! One girl said that she couldn't have a swag bag as mark told her that there was a line up overnite! Really I was there at 8am and not one person including mark! I would love to know if the charity money was actually donated or kept for himself! If you are looking at booking a fair, check out his vendors for this show and just email them... You won't be surprised when we all tell the same story!
