Cy was the tech that came out he called me when he was 15 minutes away. He looked at the door said to give him an hour he went back to it. Did a great job I was in the construction for over 40 years, I will use Door Man again. read more

I goofed up and erased my review. Lol! I'm an old Vietnam veteran. I learned on a Royal typewriter. Anyway, Randy came out to Fernley when a highly advertised company would not. Nick was the installer and the door worked perfectly, however after 2 months we had some squeaks and chunks and Cy just left after making some adjustments and everything is absolutely A #1! Don't bother with the big companies. Get ahold of Randy at The Door Man and get it done right! read more

I can't say enough good things about The Door Man! From start to finish, they were courteous, professional, and honest. I fully expected to have to replace my entire garage door (which I was not looking forward to with the holidays around the corner), but T, my technician, was incredible. He was communicative, punctual, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. Instead of trying to sell me a new system, he gave my existing setup a complete makeover -- and now it's working like new! Hands down the best experience I've ever had with a home repair company. I'll definitely be using The Door Man when it's time for a new door, but I expect T's fix will give me several more good years! Highly recommend! read more

I requested service through yelp at 7:30am yesterday. By 9am, Randy contacted me and offered to send someone that afternoon. I wasn't available, but they were able to come out today. The technicians were professional and thorough. I will be using them in the future to service my garage doors. read more

When our garage door stopped working and a cable was hanging disconnected, panic attack!! We got it closed and called The Door Man because the sticker was on our wall by the garage door opener button. The last service was 2021. The person in the phone said someone would call the next morning 7-8am o make an appointment to check it out. Quick response is important in a situation like this especially in the winter. Teague is the young man who was the serviceman who came at the appointment time and shortly afterwards, everything was fixed! The problem really had to be addressed by the professionals as it can be a dangerous DIY project so the cost is a decent value. Teague suggested getting a regular service on the big spring and parts to keep everything functioning well. read more

Great experience all around. I didn't have to wait for a call back either time I called. Our garage door was just making funny noise noises so we wanted it serviced and he got us right in, it was super quick and very efficient. I will always use them from now on! read more

If you need a new garage door look no further! This company was incredible to work with. The owner was extremely friendly, responsive, and had great communication. I also found that our door was very reasonably priced and a little less expensive than some other door shops in town. They were super fast too, got our garage door replaced within four hours, and it even opens up now with wifi on your phone which is wild. We had to purchase a custom sized door but they were very upfront about the timeline for ordering and being able to place the door up, taking roughly two months for the door to come in. The door itself also looks great, and they matched it perfectly to the color of our home, but they had several options if you wanted to get a wood-like door or an upgraded style/ temperature control door. read more

My door suddenly failed so I called these guys the afternoon it happened. I had an appointment early the next morning, which is good turnaround for our area. Their tech, Tig, arrived at the time specified, quickly got to work & serviced my door which is now working perfectly. I've used two other vendors in the past & received poor service from one (Overhead) & expensive service from another (George's). I have nothing negative to say about The Door Man -- the office is great & the service I received was too. Tig not only fixed everything on my door & remote, but also told me what parts were showing wear & were likely to need replacement a few years down the road. I highly recommend them. read more

Randy is the man! He did my last high lift garage has been working great for the past 3 years, and now I'm about to go on the second one in my new house and will probably get the doors done as well. Long overdue review just giving an update as I went to look him back up and realized I didn't bookmark it. Already got the quote and the bid is competitive like always. read more

Teague from the Door Man was prompt in getting here for our service with him! He installed a new garage box for us and explained everything we needed to know about it. He also took the time to tune our other box, found a complication with it, and offered a variety of solutions. I would 100% recommend Teague from the Door Man for any of your garage needs! Thank you again read more

I have used The Door Man for garage door repairs a number of times and they are excellent. Today, I awoke to a door that would not open more than a few feet off the ground. I called the office, got the owner, Randy, and explained situation and needed it looked at as I couldn't get the car out. After checking his morning schedule he told me he could fit me in right away. Less than an hour later, the repair specialist, Teague, arrived, diagnosed the problem and went to work getting things fixed. As mentioned, I have used The Door Man a number of times and they are the best. I highly recommend them if you want solid work done on your garage door, in a reasonable amount of time and cost from experienced and friendly folks. Thanks again, Randy and tell Teague great job as usual. read more

I called late last night and was given an appointment for the next day. Teague (the technician) arrived on time was very professinal and did a great job. He was also a very congenial young man. I highly recommend this company. read more

I live in Reno. Watch out for this outfit...at time of booking, no mention of a surprise $12 'fuel surcharge', then they charged exactly $4.22 per minute for labor! Parts were basically priced in line with big box stores. Tech was very friendly and competent. If you chose to use them, you better understand how they impact your bank account while they are laughing all the way to the bank. Watch out. read more

Requested service to repair uneven door, repair man came out. Charged us $200 for "full-service and tune up" , fuel surcharge. Replaced the bottom seal that didn't need to be changed... Left the job, nothing fixed. Took full advantage of my wife! Even after she called the owner out of concern. She even helped be a 2nd set of hands for the 1st repair man. 2nd repair man verifies the job was not done, but didn't have cables to fix door. Cables fraying and unraveling (see pics). Owner aware of the incident. No call back or follow up,, door not repaired. Took our money and ran. Customers beware read more

Another satisfactory visit from the technicians of The Door Man. Dylan came out and quickly diagnosed my problem as faulty sensors and repaired the problem for much less than I was expecting. Dylan was very personable, gave me a complete diagnosis and estimate before he started working and did an excellent job! This was my 6th time using The Door Man over the last 15 years...Randy and his crew have never disappointed, I highly recommend them!! read more

Needed emergency same-day service on a Friday afternoon with my garage door that was stuck halfway open with a broken cable. I called numerous shops, and the best they could do was Monday or pay a very high after hours fee. The doorman had a guy out in a couple of hours and Matt fixed my garage door in a jiffy. Matt's attitude, ability to communicate clearly and answer all of my questions was excellent. I will definitely use the doorman again, and I am considering buying a whole new garage door from them. read more

Our garage door was broken/damaged, and I thought for sure that it would be a big job, and we would need to replace it. My garage door refused to open unless you were 6 inches from the controls. The car wouldn't program, the signal would just not work!! I asked for help and instead of charging me to come out, he asked me a question...Was I using LED lightbulbs in my unit? (I can assure you this issue did not come up in any Google search...and I searched!) He suggesting removing them and trying again. I did as he suggested and it was fixed! (Who knew?) No service charge, just really great customer service. I WILL be calling him when its time for maintenance. read more

Very very happy with their work! Randy spent a lot of time explaining the difference between a few different brands to make sure I picked the correct one. Joe was the one who came out to install the garage doors and not only did he do a great job, I felt very comfortable with him at my home alone with me and my daughter. (Even to the point where I had to leave my house for a bit and trusted to leave him there alone). Although they weren't the cheapest, for a little bit extra, I got amazing service. Joe also went over with me how to oil and keep my new garage door so it will last longer. They add an extra seal around the outside and an extra support beam on the sides which I really like too. Highly recommend!! read more

Our springs broke on our garage door. I called Door Man and they showed up in about an hour and a half. David and Randy fixed the springs, put on better rollers and serviced the door. They showed me their concerns with our current set up and gave suggestions. Explained what to watch for and prices for future. They were done in a short time and we are up and running again. I'm so thankful that we were able to get the Door Man here! We will definitely be using them again in the VERY near future as we will be replacing our system soon. Thanks Door Man for being available, speedy and professional! read more

One of the two springs on my garage door had broken. I called Door Man and received an estimate for repairs and an appointment for that afternoon. Received a call from Randy telling me he had a cancellation and repairman could arrive in 30 minutes, which he did. Repairman was clean, polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and wore a mask. He showed me another broken part on the door and other operating issues due to my lack of maintenance. He was very eager to do a good job but instead did an EXCELLENT job. Outstanding service and professionalism. Dylan knows garage doors and thankfully fixed mine.

The expert from The Door Man came and did a complete tune-up of my old garage door, and installed all new weatherstripping on all sides. He had all the materials and tools with him and it was accomplished in an hour. This was way more convenient for me than trying to find the right parts and futz around installing them, and experiment with making tension adjustments. Will definitely use again. read more
