Delicious fritters as big as your head!
    Kerry L.

Oh yum! Dorian sure knows what she's doing! We stopped in as we were walking by and left with a raised donut, a sticky bun and the biggest fritter I've ever seen all for just $6! They were carved up and shared with the family when we got home. We agreed they were all delicious!

We love the freshly baked gigantic Cinnabon & pecan cinnabon! The owner is so sweet too!

This is a great little donut shop. Stopped in with my family for a quick treat and the owner was EXTREMELY friendly...even with my 3y/o climbing everywhere. Nice atmosphere and the donuts were delicious. My apple fritter was monstrous (and crispy)! My only strike against this place is it may have a limited selection depending on when you arrive. But seriously, it's a small shop in a small town and there is no reason to have to throw out half your profit at days end. They also bake bread, cinnamon rolls, and sticky buns which looked so good we had to take one to go. Highly recommend!

Our Starbucks is usually out of everything (they've told me "sorry, local supply" in response). Brie'sta is loved by many, but I haven't had that experience there yet, and I'm not sure I'm emotionally prepared to share my life story with the Broestas at Dutch. Taking all that into account, you'd be excused if you settled for Mudslingers. Fortunately, you don't have to settle. It's amazing. The menu is dynamic (the Dirty Turtle is my fav), the sandwiches are awesome, and they are all about local! Recently they just had a special purple drink recognizing the Month of the Military Child. The workers are the best. It's a very natural kindness vibe, I'm always happy to have a conversation! Do yourself a favor, just go here! The only criticism I have of this place is that seating is outdoor only (pretty much all of the places in MH, and those that do exist are uncomfortable), but this is really only an issue in the winter. Ps, I realized I forgot to mention FUBAR as an option, but I haven't visited the in town location yet...to be continued!

The service has always been excellent and the workers kind! They help you pick and choose through all the options. I tried their pb and j mocha and it was amazingly good! However, Everytime I go I now get an icecream creation called The Kitchen Sink! "Its Layered Farr's vanilla ice cream with oreo cookies, hot fudge, Hot Caramel, more oreo cookies, and topped with whipped cream. This treat comes with a bumper sticker to show off!" Def don't miss this spot if your ever in Mtn Home or passing through and you want coffee or ice cream. It is a hut off the highway to the airbase. I still have yet to try their food but I will someday! ;)

Honestly, at that moment in time, I wasn't even excited for the fritters after having such a dry donut the day before. I asked for 1 fritter to be in a box and the other 3 to be in another. The gal that helped me the day before opened the window, didn't greet me, stared at me which was an awkward interaction. I told her I was there to pick up my fritters and her response was "I know". Yes, you know but I didn't know if you remembered..... A sweet gal popped up with my boxes. Explained to me which box was what and sent me on my way. I got my goods and made my way home. When I was picking up the boxes, I noticed the warmth of the box and the weight. I can tell these were going to be heavy weight fritters. Opening the box, this baby was huge! Perfectly glazed from top to bottom. My husband took his first bite. He was very happy with the fritter. I took a chunk and was very delighted at how sweet, crunchy and delicious this fritter was. The middle was soft and airy. The exterior of the fritter was crispy and crunchy even though there was a glaze over it. The cinnamon and apple chunks were in every bite. It was a fantastic apple fritter! My husband was greedy and ate a majority of it. I'm happy I got a nice chunk of it to try out. The donut and fritter was night and day. I'm happy that I got to experience the hype of the apple fritter that everyone had raved about! Believe the hype! The apple fritters here were money. If I could do half stars, this visit would have been 4.5 but it's going to be a 4. My first initial interaction with the first gal wasn't the best. You deal with a ton of different people everyday, how was I to know you knew what I was there for if you don't say anything to me? A simple "we are grabbing your fritters" would have been cool but I got stared at. I'm assuming the gal that gave me my order was the person in charge. Professional, sweet and great line of communication. I don't know when I'll be back for another round of goodies but if someone asks where they could get some fabulous fritters, I'll be suggesting this joint for sure.

Overall, the consensus amongst my group is these donuts are way too sweet. The batter is okay, but all that glaze and topping is almost overwhelming. Its nice being able to choose the flavor of your glaze and topping though. The blueberry and stawberry added some nice variety. The kids may love this but it was way too much for the adults. Not my favorite, but if you want a really sweet donut, or something a little gimmicky then this is a decent option.

I love how they have all these rubber duckies everywhere! It adds such a fun tone to the venue. They also have the pictures of donuts on display which was nice. I'm a visual eater so the pictures really helped me decide on which donut to get. After looking over everything, we decided on the pumpkin chocolate chip. The gal that helped us was nice. I wish she would have engaged with us instead of standing at the register. It made us feel rushed. It was our first time there so she could have told us the popular donuts, her favorite ones or the new seasonal. I'm huge on customer service and this was a flop for me. The donut came out in the cutest box. It was warm. I love the crunchy exterior and soft interior. The pumpkin was very noticeable but not overwhelming. The chocolate chips were nicely scattered all over the donut. They are pretty dense so I only had a couple bites. I really enjoyed this storefront and I look forward to coming back and trying other goodies.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!
