We were completely unprepared when we brought our puppy, Bea, home two years ago. She was adorable, but was incredibly anxious about everything: walking on a leash (or even putting on a collar), grooming, crate/housetraining, being left alone, and a host of other issues. I wasn't sure we would be able to keep Bea. We loved her, but obviously weren't giving her what she needed. I interviewed three dog trainers in a bit of a panic. I immediately warmed to Shannon (as did Bea) in a way I did not to the other trainers.
It's difficult to describe what makes Shannon so special, but there is definitely something unique about her incredible knowledge of dog behavior and motivations, friendly and non-judgmental attitude, and absolute dedication to building a strong relationship between you and your pet. Shannon worked with us for months, helping us build Bea's trust in us and helping Bea understand the "rules" for living as part of our family. I loved Shannon's method of training - first working with all of us, then working with Bea during the week and transferring knowledge to me after work or on the weekends. Bea really began to thrive with Shannon's help, and Shannon taught her basic manners and even some fun party tricks! I honestly don't know where we'd be without Shannon, and I'm so grateful we found her. read more
