The inn keeper, the food and the rooms are all excellent. Lori (innkeeper) even call us to let us know we left some items there and she mailed to our home. we have been to many b and b's and this ranks up with the best

I cannot sing enough praises about Scott, Tari, and their beautiful home. I came to Oxford for a…read moreconference in November at Miami U. I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.

But we really lucked out by stumbling on Sycamore Farms website. We stayed in a 3- bedroom cottage with a back patio on a quaint quiet little street and really enjoyed the restaurant- quality breakfast she cooked for us and the other guests on Sunday morning! This place is such a hidden gem, we will definitely return on our next trip to Oxford.

A quiet getaway, our inn was completely renovated in 2015, and is on the National Registry of Historic Places as Lanes Mill Historic Buildings. Our casually elegant décor of antiques, oriental rugs and original art blends a homey feel with upscale comfort! Our outdoor space is truly an adventure with historic barns, corn cribs and a mile of walking trails on Four Mile Creek to explore. We do offer overnight boarding for equine guests wanting to haul their horses in to ride on adjacent Sycamore Parks trails, or Hueston Woods, 10 miles away. For true relaxation, try fishing or reading a book in one of the creek side areas, or hammocks. Think of us as your country home!
