From the very beginning, the staff has shown an incredible level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication to each child's growth and well-being. A special shoutout to Ms. Yvonne, our daughter's favorite instructor, who made a lasting impression with her warmth, patience, and engaging teaching style. She truly has a gift for connecting with children and helping them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. All the teachers at PHMA have gone above and beyond to create a nurturing environment for kids aged 2-6. The care and attention they give to every detail -- from learning activities to safety and emotional development -- are second to none. Our daughter has grown so much, and we're amazed at how prepared she is for public school, both academically and socially. We wholeheartedly recommend Piedmont Hills Montessori Academy to any family looking for a safe, enriching, and loving environment for their child. Thank you to the entire PHMA team for giving our daughter such a strong, joyful foundation!

They have very caring teachers, good homely atmosphere and no problems at all. Enrollment Price is very moderate as compared to the other neighboring schools and really worth to give it a try. The school is almost in business for 20 years now and they sure know what the kids of this age need this most and take utmost care to provide the same. They have good caring and very patience teachers. We came across this school from a common friend who's son had been here for 2years and we are very happy that we took the right decision. The school is located a very safe and secure place, good play ground and library, caring teachers, flexible timings, affordable.....what else do you need as a parent to have peace of mind when your kids are at school. Try it yourself....I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

My family has been sending our kids to this school for almost 40 years! My husband and his younger sister both attended this school when they were younger, along with tons of their cousins. Then when my sister and I had our kids, we sent them here, too. My sister actually lives 20 minutes away and she still opted to send my nephew here (shows you just how impressed she and her hubby were with it!). However, one of the biggest selling factors for me was how truly HUGE their yard and lot are. The playground is ample enough to accommodate tons of activities for all the different aged kids, and I love how it's kind of secluded and away from the main street. So if you have any doubts about this place -- perish them because I assure you that your kids will be safe, healthy, and well taken care of at this awesome school. :-)

She knows how to write all her letters and will spell sentences by just telling her how to write each word letter by letter. She's doing basic math and studying subtraction this week. Miss Yanalia and her two helpers, Miss Jacky and Miss Talia are absolutely the best. They care for each individual child and the kids love them all. Communication between parents and teachers is great and the daily reports are always detailed. All the new kids seem to adjust well within two weeks which is a sign of the great daycare Yanalia runs. If and when I have more children, AAD will be at the top of my list. I would highly recommend you check it out and see if it's a good fit for your child(ren). You won't be disappointed! Forgot to add my daughter has even learned her colors and 1-10 (that I know of) among some other words in mandarin making her somewhat trilingual. Yanalia also to take the culture of each kid into consideration to keep that maternal culture alive in the children.

She, along with the other teachers there are all very caring and kind. Mrs. Emily is the head teacher at Vinci Park. She is very attentive and willing to speak to me via text or phone at any time when I had questions or concerns. The students learn to sing English and Chinese songs, they do various arts and crafts, and their activities are diverse and fun. My son enjoyed going to school every single day! I am very appreciative of Sunshine school and will alway have fond memories of my boys growing up at this school!

Last year he was at the Vinci Park campus where he is in the orange class. The staff at this campus are super loving, caring and friendly. My son was able to quickly adapt and love the teacher here, and he is especially fond of Ms. Huang and Ms. Emily. At one point he refused the idea of going to a school without Ms. Huang lol... One of the reason we picked this school was that I wanted my son to speak mandarin in early childhood. Most of the teachers here are native mandarin speaking, and this is a bi-lingual school. So if you are looking for mandarin immersion experience for your kids, this is a great choice! My son so far is a fluent mandarin speaker and he speaks some basic English too -- I am sure he will pick up that very fast later. My son learned letters, numbers, and some basic Chinese characters read and write by age 4. I am not academic focused and I am very happy with the progress. The school has plenty of outdoor time, and artwork time -- every day my son brings home a piece of work he made at school which is really nice. Last but not the least, the staff are super flexible and supportive of working parents. My drop off and pick up hours are based on my work meeting schedule, and they were always understanding and supportive. One time we went on international travel and after we got back, my son was jet lagged and super moody when I drop him off, Ms Emily gave us a few minutes to work it out, and told me if you need to go, we got it. If you like to spend more time to calm him down, feel free to do so. She checked with us multiple times to check my son was ok as well as I was ok with the delayed drop off. Super appreciated as a working parent!

Another alum here. Heed this warning and please don't send your child to this school if you want…read morethem to thrive emotionally. I started at SV in kindergarten, and the first few years weren't bad. I was a kid, I made friends, I was happy, and I learned the alphabet and how to read. Everything was going great. Then COVID hit, and everything just degraded from there. Our sports teams used to be very good, but now that whoever signs up gets in and the coaches are parent volunteers who kind of struggle, the teams had a habit of holding up unfortunate losing streaks. How the teams does is based on the athletic ability of its players. If they suck, the team will inevitably suck. I speak from the perspective of a former student-athlete who partook in some of the very few sports available. Then there is the case of the academics. On the bright side, my class was blessed with excellent junior-high teachers, much so our eight grade home room teacher. The way some of the teachers taught while I was in middle school made me so confused and unprepared for high school. I had to seek the help of my peers who had to learn the math lessons themselves and ask them for the formula. It also didn't help that math was and never will be my strong suit. Some of the staff got a little too comfortable and spoke to the student in ways their peers would to them. They are also double-sided like the edge of a sword, showing kindness one second and tearing you out the next. Some may say that acting in a way that makes the teacher seem like they are of the same generation of the student towards them would make them more comfortable with that teacher, but I strongly disagree. The staff are there as ADULTS who must be role models to these students who are still developing their prefrontal lobe. I became very uncomfortable with the way these teachers spoke to myself and my peers, thus making me want nothing more than to graduate asap. It shouldn't make a difference now that I've moved on to an excellent school that I love, but I fear for the future generations. Despite being ipad kids, they deserve to have a good education as a youth and to have proper support. They deserve to have role models that make them want to follow in their footsteps in the future. They deserve to understand every math lesson in the way I never really did. Even if they don't understand that lesson, they should feel comfortable enough to go to the teachers on their own time and seek help. Bad things out of the way (I haven't mentioned all of them but this should be enough), I did love the friends that I found there. The school community is small, which is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing being that you get more individualized attention (if at all) and you're more likely to be friends with your entire class, curse being that if you have drama (trust me, all sixth graders will get into drama) then you can't have anybody to turn to if you have a horrible falling-out or if everybody just hates you. The last part is kind of your problem. I was lucky that I had friends to confide in and ones that were very close to me. Despite having to part with some of them, I'd say that they were the good things that happened to me in my years of going to this school. If you didn't read the whole thing, here's the summary of what I just wrote. Don't send your kid here. Even if you live close by, you might as well send them to Sierramont. If you really want to go to a private school that bad, send them to SJB or something.
