Truly the best grooming salon in the area! I had taken my Westin for grooming there for years- Beatle is the absolute best groomer- aside from her skill in grooming, she also truly cares about the pups in her care! I brought my newly-adopted blind senior poodle there for his first groom, and she did a fantastic job with him and he was t a bit nervous or stressed when I picked him up! this is the seventh time I've taken my dog to this groomer and the last time. After being there for two hours, she came home with kennel, cough, and the exact wrong collar. I called to complain and they denied it completely, however I do not have another dog and my dog has not been exposed to any other dog than the 2 hours that she was at this groomer. Gale was very uncooperative and was not helpful at all. I did not as for an additional $300 emergency vet visit with my dogs grooming service. My dog is 14 and not aggressive whatsoever either. read more

My family has been a loyal customer for many years and we've taken multiple dogs here. We've always been happy, but my dogs most recent groom was a complete disaster. They cut him way too short, shorter than he's ever been without my permission when I specifically asked for him to be left long this time. They said he was a little "matted". Even if he was matted, I should've been notified and asked if cutting him so short was okay. He is a Pomeranian and his fur isn't supposed to be cut so short, as there is risk that it won't grow back properly. The fur isn't even an inch long and the cut is well into his undercoat. He's basically been shaved. The icing on the cake is that in the car on the way home I felt a bump on his neck. When I got home I immediately saw that it was a TICK. A large black tick lodged in his skin with a red rash around it that couldn't be missed!!! We are now at the emergency vet. I might've been able to look past the short cut but this is totally inexcusable. I'm not sure how they didn't notice the tick especially with the short cut. I won't be returning to the Dirty Dog and I advise you to use extreme caution before taking your dog here. read more

Wow all I can say is the level of unprofessionalism. The groomer cut our one dogs nails so short it looks like a murder scene in my house. So while I will spend the next two hours scrubbing blood out of my couches and floors, she had the audacity to yell at our nanny who was doing us a favor and picking up the dogs. I then went back to approach her and she was so abrasive and nasty instead of owning up to her mistake. Our other dog who she claimed was fine when we left has been throwing up all afternoon since he got home- maybe from distress- if thats how she can speak to another human, I can only imagine how she treated our sweet dog when he was there. I mentioned we will not be back (we have been going to Lums for 16 years, but had to do a one off since their groomer is out for a little) and I was told and I quote " we isn't going to take you back anyway." No comment on the level of stupidity- beware of this place !! And yes- we took her back so they could put something on to stop the bleeding and to say she man handled our crying scared dog in a violent manner is an understatement. Shame! And if you're the owner feel free to reach out ! I am happy to talk further. I've never left a negative review in my life and I am also a small business owner and understand how these reviews can go. But when 2 of my 3 dogs are terrified , and you speak to me the way the groomer did , as well as speak to a young student the way she did , I have a real problem ! read more

Horrible experience. Picked my dog up... she had a nick and blood spot on the back of her leg. They did NOT cut her bangs. My dog is NOT aggressive at all. She's older and really sweet. The one lady who called me for when it was time to pick her up was rude. The lady who actually I paid, was sweet and when I told her what the other woman said... she told me mu dog was fine with her and a "sweetheart" but that "dogs can sense bad vibes from other people." WTF! My dog is in the car now with me and won't stop crying!!! I spent $87 ($60 for the cut plus tip). They didn't give her bows or even a neck scarf. Her bangs are in her eyes and she is still scruffy around her mouth. We will NOT be coming back here! read more

I'm writing this review after years (at least 5 maybe 10) of taking our dog, Sophie, to Dirty Dog. Dirty Dog has always done a great job. I believe tons of people have had just as great an experience because they're always super busy! She always has the cutest bandana or barrettes appropriate for the season/ holiday. The staff is also super pleasant & appreciative of our business. I will say that for Sophie it's a little expensive, to us, but I've tried other places & she just doesn't look in any way as professional as she does after her visit to Dirty Dog. read more

Dirty dog always does a great job desheding my very hairy chow mix. We recently adopted a 6 yr terrior mix who has severe issues with his paws (both physical & psychological) They manage to trim the new guys nails which is not at all easy! Highly recommend ! read more

This was my first time taking my dog here and it will also be my last. I picked him up Wednesday after his appointment and he was acting weird and shaking. I got home and noticed an awful irritation under his belly and on his little butt. After a vet visit it was said that they were from dirty clippers. His butt bled for two days and he didn't stop shaking until yesterday. Toby has been getting groomed once a month for five years and never have I ever had any problem like this. It's now been a week and he still isn't acting his normal self. I tried, very nicely may I add, to go back and express what happened to the owner of the store. After explaining how this all cost me over $140 she didn't even give me my money back for the groom, and I didn't get a single apology. read more

I can't speak for the current ownership, but my childhood dog, Pidge, a then 6 year old Australian Shepard, couldn't walk for three days after one visit in the mid 90's. She developed a psychosis since the visit and became highly aggressive. I'm shocked and saddened you're still in business. read more

This groomer is top-notch! Very professional, attentive and they truly care about their 4-legged clients. My dog was a little lethargic today and they pointed that out to me when I picked her up. I have been taking my dog to The Dirty Dog for several years now. Each time I went to get my dog groomed there services got worse, they stopped cutting my dogs nails and instead of brushing my dogs hair they buzzed her all over. The last time I went they shaved the hair from her ears, my dogs wears her hair long on her ears, this is the style of the breed, now she doesn't look like her breed. I was shocked by how she looked they said she was matted, I think they were lazy and take shortcuts. Never going back again. read more
