When I purchased my ticket I notated that I'm vegan for the food. When I arrived I verbalized it to be safe and happy I did because they had an alternative for me course and it was truly appreciated. The cast interacted with EVERYONE making the experience an enjoyable one. I'd recommend this outing for all occasions. The ambience of the environment was simple in the best way making it easy to navigate for meals, drinks, and conversing with others. I appreciated the bathroom being close as well. I'll definitely do this again!!!

Had a great time at the Dinner Detective. It is held in a conference room at the Omni hotel downtown. It is obviously different right now due to all of the Covid restrictions but they still did a good job. The main difference is that you don't walk around to other tables and "interrogate" others. The actors were funny and interacted with the audience. There was a cash bar offering limited wine, beer and mixed drinks. The meal was very good. I had the fish and my wife had the ravioli. To make things better, I solved the murder and won the prize! We plan on going back after things get back to normal hopefully sooner than later.

Show is interesting, not too hard but very funny. Fun for your partners or event. Dinner is not that good but not that important.

    The venue!

Enjoyed the show, everyone in our party had fun interacting with the staff and the dinner was good as well! Would recommend to friends for a different and fun interactive evening.

The seats are comfortable- large, reclining, and can also be heated (which is a very nice treat during the record cold temperatures outside). The popcorn is always tasty. You can add as much or as little butter as you prefer. There are a variety of other food options as well such as pizza and chicken tenders. You can even indulge with a milkshake or a cocktail! I love that they serve coke products and especially coke icees!! Also, it wouldn't be a theater without a large selection of candy to choose from. Of course I think all movie theater candy is overpriced but it's part of the experience. I especially appreciate the ease of purchasing tickets online and having the opportunity to select your seats ahead of time! It certainly alleviates the stress of worrying about being able to seat your party together and gives you the ability to pick the exact seat you want. Overall, always a great experience at Cinemark Durbin!

The 270-degree panoramic setup with the main screen plus the two side screens made us feel like we were basically inside Pandora. At one point I wasn't sure if I was watching a movie or if Jake Sully was about to ask me to pass the popcorn. Speaking of popcorn: excellent. The pepperoni pizza? Surprisingly legit for movie theater food. And the soda options--so many choices it felt like a soft drink buffet. Major win. The atmosphere was super comfortable. The air wasn't freezing (thank you, Cinemark, for not turning the theater into an Arctic survival test), and the recliner seats were perfect. Even for a long movie like Avatar, we were comfortable the entire time. No back pain, no seat shifting, no regrets. Now, full honesty: there were a few slower parts where you could tell some people were this close to falling asleep. Not because the theater was boring--but because it was that comfortable. If you doze off for a minute, honestly, that's on James Cameron. Overall, fantastic experience. Great food, great comfort, and ScreenX alone is worth the trip. We'll definitely be back--hopefully for something a little shorter... or with caffeine next time.

I am having a difficult time writing this review as I don't want to deflate the work that the…read moreactors did for the production of shows from the 60s. However, the script no fault of the actors was so poorly written and very disjointed. The script did not flow at all it did not make any rhyme or reason and it did not truly reflect the characterization what was good TV in the 60s. The script depiction of the 1960s television shows really was so poorly developed that the actors couldn't even develop their character appropriately. The actors gave it their all some of them had some beautiful singing voices so they cannot be held accountable for the poor writing. I also think that selecting a cast you want to find somebody who more resembles the character they portrayed and this particular production no one was like the characters from the shows. The food well, this is my second time at this dinner Theatre and this is the second time the food was far from par as I'm trying to be very nice describing it. I can remember from elementary school going hungry many many days because of how bad the food was and now I say to myself, you know compared to what was served tonight maybe elementary school food was not that bad after all. we were a table of four and I can tell you that 90% of what was brought out was taken back to the kitchen. Even the desserts were so poorly prepared that none of us at the table even ate that. The waiter was very kind Joey I believe was his name he was professional. He tried to make it better, but he had no control over the catering of this dinner. I did tell the very kind and friendly lady at the front that given this was my second time here and the second time the food was so vile and fact it was the exact same meal that they may need to think about another catering service. If management is reading this, please understand that when I saw the Addams family values the Usage of the space the lighting the music and the actors were phenomenal! I had low expectations for the food, but high expectations for the performance. Tonight, unfortunately both were two thumbs down. Actors I know you gave it. You're all and I commend you for trying to take a very poorly written and developed script and making it something enjoyable.

I always enjoy the Spotlight Center. I join a group of folks who attend the lunch matinees…read more The Spotlight Center is simply a charming group of people! Some are professionals and highly trained while others are in high school or college developing their skills. The shows can be uneven, yet I don't care. We've been atttending since Spotlight Center first opened and are enjoying watching the younger performers (some of whom are deeply talented) grow. It's obvious they are receiving excellent mentoring. The boxed lunch is nothing to write home about. Again, I don't care. The food is simple and the servers and hosts/hostesses are a joy. It's sorta like Cheers, it's nice to go someplace where they always know your name, have a bright, warm smile for you, and provide an enjoyable afternoon of entertainment. We like the atmosphere.
