First time visiting Ollie's today--it's huge! It's Costco sized and full of cheap bargain priced…read more items--like mugs, shower curtains, holiday decorations, books, rugs, and soccer balls. There are ceiling signs hanging showing different sections of the store (eg. Food, Furniture, Lawn & Garden, etc). I spent over 1.5 hours just looking around and there was still half the store remaining I didn't have time to check out!! I've heard the items in stock vary (as they buy overfill from other places at a steep discount). Today there were a bunch of very cute colorful pastel mugs selling for 99 cents. They also had Squid Game themed mugs for $4 and a Yoda one for $2. I was able to find a pickleball racquet set here as well (cheaper than on Amazon). All in all, interesting finds if you have the time to wander around! Cashiers are friendly

Incredibly nice underpaid employees, especially the cashiers -- but management (with the exception…read moreof Mike) treats anyone who isn't a stocker as completely replaceable. There's zero respect for personal life, and issues are handled with emotion instead of professionalism. Cashiers are paid $10 an hour, given bare‑minimum training, and there's no clear path to move up. Management openly acknowledges problems like employees stealing from the fridge, yet there's no security cameras or real accountability. Cashiers also aren't allowed to remove items or fix SKU issues without a manager override, which is fine -- except managers often blamed me for mistakes caused by bad skims or incorrect labeling. I rarely had override issues, but when they happened, I wasn't trained on how to handle them outside of calling them through walkie-talkie, over the intercom, and was still held responsible. I was frequently left alone at the register with long lines, phone calls coming in, and no support, while multiple stockers stayed in the back. Management didn't teach me how to juggle these tasks, and the lack of training made the job unnecessarily stressful. When conflicts happen, even ones outside of work, management jumps straight to accusations instead of proper investigation. The final interaction I had ended with: "You could've called earlier, I'll replace you." The regular employees are great, but the management culture makes the job unstable and stressful. And it was this specific location. I want to add that HR was incredibly kind whenever they reached out. I didn't mean to miss their calls -- I was often overwhelmed because management didn't train me on how to handle customer rushes, phone calls, and long lines at the register all at once. Many times I was left alone at the front while four people stocked in the back, and I had no support or guidance on how to manage everything.
