This week we returned from out of state to find our fifteen+ year-old water heater leaking water. A late night phone to GL Plumbing, and THE NEXT morning at 9:00 they were here. I got a detailed explanation of what needed to be done, issues that needed correction, and an accurate price quote. Two hours later the installation was complete. The final cost matched the estimate to the penny, and we had hot water again. Can't recommend GL Plumbing too highly. Five STARS!!!!!!

I was greeted professionally by Karen who listened to my concerns and who promptly sent Pete to diagnose the problem. It was thereafter determined by James, a leak detection specialist, that I had a slab leak. He clearly explained the three options before me and patiently answered my plethora of questions. After doing extensive research, I made the decision to have a whole house repipe based on the many leaks/floods in my neighborhood. From start to finish, Karen, James, and Matthew walked me through the process. The team was a prompt, professional, knowledgable, and industrious. I was especially impressed by the consistently prompt and clear communication via phone and via text. Even the city inspector commented on what an excellent job Bob the Plumber did for us. For repipes or any smaller scale plumbing needs, I highly recommended Bob the Plumber.

This is very disappointing. I contacted Apex Plumbing for a water heater replacement. When I asked…read morequestions about pricing, the contractor became frustrated and seemed to take my questions personally. The main issue was a lack of upfront clarity: the initial quote of $2,100 didn't specify it was a cash price. When I asked if paying cash would change the price, he then said $2,100 is the cash price, and paying by credit card adds 4%. This was not mentioned initially, which felt misleading. When I questioned this, he said: "I'm not rejecting you. Anyone who insults me with dishonesty doesn't deserve my services. I pride myself on honesty and transparency. I treat all my customers with respect and kindness. I am one of the kindest contractors you will come across. But for you to question my honesty is an insult." Transparency and clear communication are essential in good business practice. Any professional contractor should state upfront: "$2,100 cash, +4% if paying by card." Because the full picture wasn't communicated when it mattered, it's understandable that I felt the situation was not handled honestly.
