We made a reservation online for one of the themed nights, and the experience was 10/10 right from the beginning. While waiting to enter the 'cooking school' kitchen, we were served drinks (including choice of wine) and we could browse the 'lobby' area where they had ready-made frozen meals, ingredients, and pre-made soup mixes to go. After an introduction by the chef instructor, our class was divided into groups. Each group was responsible for creating 1 dish from the menu that night, which included appetizer, main, and dessert. We were able to learn various practical cooking techniques and skills throughout the night by rotating through the different stations - such as oyster shucking, pasta making (from scratch), how to create the different sauces, etc. Very useful info and hands-on experience. They had a pasta-making machine on site, and it was fun to shape the pasta doughs into different custom shapes using the moulds. We used all natural ingredients for colouring, such as beets to make the pasta pink / purple. What stuck with me the most was learning how to shuck open raw oysters properly. We also made 3 different sauces to go with the raw oysters, including the classic mignonette (consisting of red wine vinegar and eschalots). The main dish of that night was lamb rack, but because I don't eat meat, the chef personally cooked a grilled salmon & vegetables dish for me (that he whipped up quickly in the back kitchen) - it was nice that they were accommodating like that. Dessert was a sorbet with fresh fruits (sliced strawberries). The whole cooking experience took a few hours, so by the time everything was ready, we were all starving. This sushi-making class was very informative and gave us practical hands-on experience. The class…read morestarted with a presentation of the history of sushi and the different types of sushi. Then we got to practice making the different types of sushi, including temaki (hand rolls), maki (seaweed on the outside), and uramaki (seaweed in the inside). All ingredients and equipment were provided (including the bamboo rollers). And of course, we got to enjoy the fruit of our labour in the end. The instructor was very funny, friendly, and engaging. What a fun and interactive class!

It took about 45 minutes to set up and came extremely prepared with all the items he needed. Then another half hour (maybe a bit more because of all our questions) and then an hour and a bit teaching us how to roll. Overall, this was a fantastic idea and a great Saturday night. Sang accommodated all of our nutritional needs for the pickier of the bunch. I can't speak higher of the experience we had.

I've tried ALMOST all of their pasta dishes - with the exception of Pescatore, Arrabiata - and the one that stands out the most is their Bolognese! It's soo good. Yes lots of people but still at certain angle can get some nice pictures. And their cherry blossoms trees are like the fullest, most dense compared to other places we have been to. Bon Odori Japanese festival also very interesting to see so many people dancing in circles in traditional outfits. Although both times the indoor activities were kind of meh. One time there was like old stuff being sold like vintage market or some sort but selections I found not interesting. And then super crowded inside. So both times I didnt enjoy the booths inside but outside the cherry blossoms and Japanese dances were great.

Food wise, they definitely had a huge selection available. We opted with a standard 3 course dinner with pasta, 2 meats (chicken + beef) and crepe gelato. The food was good overall, except the beef was a little dry but that is to be expected when cooking for a large group. The accommodations for dietary restrictions were also great, we had eggplant parm for the vegetarian meal and I've heard good things about it!
