So expect a ton of real estate ads (they've gotta pay for your free paper), and I wish they had more restaurant discounts. Beyond that, here's the skinny on the different sections. DELIVERED WEEKLY for FREE (Rating 5) WHAT'S UP WITH section (Rating 4) This is the first section in the paper on the first interior (right) page. I like this section allot. It's well written and keeps me up to date on what's happening locally with local development, ongoing projects (like the 5 frwy, uhhhh) etc. They break it down by "The Latest", laying out what it's all about and "What's Next", what will be happening next with it. A great layout for these types of short articles. NEWS BITES (Rating 3) This is where it gets a little more "small townish", which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It covers local "goings-on" (e.g. The Ocean Festival Yard Sale, Auditions for Children's Theater Sets etc). It's pretty neat because your event or story doesn't have to be earth shattering news to make it to print. The Community Meetings also is in this section and is helpful showing what's happening for the week with regards to upcoming events and meetings SC SHERIFF'S BLOTTER (Rating 3) A list of everything our local PD has been up to for the week. Keep up the great job guys and if I was rating you, it would be a "5"! SOAPBOX (VIEWS OPINIONS and INSIGHTS) (Rating 3.5) A place for the community to weigh in. Just write to the editor! GETTING OUT (Rating 4) A section that shows everything that is happening (day by day) in the community. From Concerts to Family Fairs to Basket Weaving. It's in there. SC LIVING (PROFILES of OUR COMMUNITY) (Rating 4) Stories about people in the community and their adventures, successes etc. This is always inspiring to me. BUSINESS DIRECTORY Usually about 2 pages of local business ads broken down by services. It's a nice touch and they have the same on their web site. To make it more helpful, it would be awesome if they listed the company's current Yelp rating, right? SPORTS & OUTDOORS (Rating 4.5) So no local paper would be good without the local high school sports section. This is awesome for families and kids alike. SC SURF (Rating 4.5) Yes, and last but not least the surf section. Gotta have it here in SC!

I am reluctant to dunk on small businesses in public because it sure is hard out there for the…read morelikes of us, but these folks really irked me and it seems from the other reviews here i'm not the only one. I hired them to produce a sticker for artwork that needed to be turned into a vector at first. They charged me $50 and botched a minor detail and i didn't notice until months later after we had run a sticker with them. Whatever, no big deal, our illustrator pointed out the mistake and I didn't notice it. My bad. They corrected the mistake once i brought it to their attention. However, when i submitted an order with the updated artwork, they swapped out the errored artwork when sending me a proof. I missed this fact, that they used an errored proof, so i signed off for approval. What insued was a multi week opaque customer service exchanged in which they repeated the same information over and over again - claiming this was a 'repeat order' even though i had to literally email them to find out the order information and submit a brand new order as their system did not have order information from only a few months prior. They simply refused to acknowledge they messed up the proof in the layout they submitted and kept repeating this erroneous information, as if saying the same thing enough times would simply change the facts they messed up. Even as show them the email chain that *proved* the file i attached via their online system was the correct one, they refused to accept responsibility for anything, and instead wanted me to make a new order that i would pay for with a discount. The impression i was left from the customer service interaction is that they care about being in the right and *and* having the last word. I eventually had to just give up and walk away. This was the most frustrating customer service interaction i've dealt with in years. These folks also seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that working relationships can scale and grow, that i would have say, maybe have had more orders from them had they just owned up to the mistake? I owned up to my part in the matter, but they never did. Or who knows, maybe they just have too much business that they simply don't care and get their hackles from frustrating customers. In any case, i'd stay away and find somewhere else to work with.

Place is great they have some of the coolest graphics for stickers so stoked thanks guys !!!read more
