No one from Pacific City had informed them of the event, No one at OC Weekly had informed them of the event, there were no food & drink pairings, the manager came over and after showing him the "tickets" and the ad, he offered us a taste of 2 beers and a bottomless option if we were so inclined, I had the Madras Oysters, my wife had the bacon wrapped shrimp and a glass of wine $33.00 total, we then went to Ola, they did have a beer special, but again no food pairings, as it turns out it was Taco Tuesday all day and night, $25.00 out the door, I give OC WEEKLY 5 stars on the Idea of Brew & View, 1 Star (an F) on execution, we left there still scratching our heads, Perhaps you should change the name to OC WEAKLY? Sometimes the local news coverage is pretty good; other days, less so. The local sports coverage, especially high school, is good. I enjoy two of the weekly columns; one on English grammar/writing and another theological one in which a Rabbi answers questions. They used to have better puzzles than now. Newspapers are having such a hard time that I want to be supportive of this effort, though it's not perfect.
