I was having issues with…read morean upper molar and Dr. Jamma realized that I needed a root canal, because of a crack, after looking at the x-rays and testing the molar. She referred me to a local "Endo" who performed the root canal, but I not only returned to Singing Hills Dentistry for the new crown, but for a second on the adjacent tooth and come cavity work on one of my wisdom teeth. I was very impressed with Dr. Jamma and her staff at this dentistry. Everyone was very polite, had very good senses of humor, and were compassionate. Christina at the front desk was not only friendly, but also very thorough in explaining what my insurance covered and what I had to pay out of pocket. In other words, there were no surprises. Thank you Christina. Dr. Jamma was clear on what needed to be done to fix what needed to be fixed, she gave me options, and as the work was being completed, she not only took the time to explain what she was doing, she continuously asked if I was okay and if I felt any pain. That was very nice of her. Thank you! Gloria and Carla are Dr. Jamma's assistance and they are great. Gloria prepped the areas for Dr. Jamma. She was very friendly and gentle as much as one can be, in the line of work she is in. Carla, was tasked with removing the temporary crowns and setting the new ones. She was phenomenal with her job. She kept at it, until the permanent crowns were set comfortably in my mouth and did interfere with other teeth. I even stated to her that I liked the way she was a "perfectionist" in setting those crowns. She, too was very nice and friendly. Well done Carla. I also had the opportunity to get to know Debbie, the dental hygienist, who cleaned my teeth on my first visit. She was amiable and full of great advice regarding teeth cleaning. The office offers a nice waiting room with filtered water. I like the flat screens they have in the rooms with relaxing images and videos. I will be returning in about a month for further work and most likely another crown on a tooth that has a large chip. More to come.

The entire team works incredibly well together and shows so much respect for one another. Everyone is highly trained, professional, and truly on point in everything they do. Dr. Le is amazing and does exceptional work. I recently had a crown done, and I was so impressed by how particular and meticulous he was throughout the entire process. Dr. Denise also did several fillings for me using the Solea laser AND I didn't need to get numb! What an absolutely amazing experience. Selena is another great reason to choose TYFD- she's organized, responsive, and doesn't make you feel a burden whenever appointment adjustments are needed. When I needed a new crown, they were able to accommodate this procedure the same day. Lastly, Dr. Nguyen and Dr.Le both are super nice and... busy. There were a few visits where I was handed off to other dentists (also nice but not them). Overall, TYFD is worth the patient transfer from La Mesa Dental Artistry.

Disappointing decade here after starting with the previous dentist who retired. The rest of my…read morefamily left years ago because of O'Brien's constant upselling (sealants, night guards, etc.); lack of appointments; and their frequent cancellations and rescheduling (i.e. delays and headaches). I don't like change so I stayed for convenience. Turned out: it meant constant inconvenience. They regularly cancelled appointments, and then rescheduled weeks and even months later (as they overbook). Today, they just announced they no longer take my CA teachers' insurance (not a big enough profit). As I most recently waited three months to be rescheduled--and I'm late for xrays and a cleaning--I questioned them. They said I should trust the dentist and want to pay out of pocket. Absurd. This is a for-profit venture, with everything revolving around funding O'Brien's family. Left high and dry in the most uncaring way.

I had an extremely troubling experience with Dr. Omidi at Cardinal Dental…read more I was completely upfront with her about my history with dental anesthesia before beginning treatment. I have never been able to get completely numb, but for roughly 30 years I had been able to get through dental procedures with nitrous. Dr. Omidi reassured me that she could manage my situation, including telling me repeatedly, "I can get anyone numb." I trusted her, I followed all of her recommendations, and I expected the treatment to be at least as manageable as they had been in the past. Instead, both procedures were extraordinarily, excruciatingly painful--far beyond anything I had experienced in decades of dental work and a 10 out of 10 on the pain scale. And I don't use that number lightly; I'm a mother who has endured labor and birth. The second procedure was particularly difficult because I went in expecting it to be relatively straightforward, as crown deliveries have typically always been an easy procedure for me, and instead was shocked to experience another severely painful procedure. But, it was the inappropriate and unprofessional way Dr. Omidi treated me afterward that was the real issue. After the first procedure she patronizingly told me: "That hurt me more than it hurt you." And worse, after the second procedure while I was extremely distressed, I was met with an extremely antagonistic interaction. From the moment her hands came out of my mouth and the pain finally began to subside, Dr. Omidi was agitated and spoke to me harshly instead of allowing me a moment to recover from an unexpectedly excruciating procedure. I felt attacked and profoundly uncomfortable, and she ultimately stormed out of the room. After this experience, I will not be returning to Dr. Omidi.

They tell you that a procedure is not covered when it is! They take a long time to bill your insurance. They will incorrectly bill your insurance. All of this to delay you from getting your refund and them holding onto your money. Some of the front and back office individuals are very rude. The dentist was talking to me and said that he was going to shut up because the dental assistant, who was standing behind me, was giving him the signal to do so. This is extremely rude. When he walked away, I had one more question she would not allow me to speak to him. She wanted to answer the question, she's not the dentist. I'm still waiting for my refund it's been almost 3 months.
