    Shrimp & Grits

Disappointing experience at The Delta unfortunately! Firstly, I hate QR code menus. We sat down, looked at the drink menu (on our phones of course) and then the waitress came back to take our order. I found the cocktails here to be so insanely expensive for what this place is. They ranged from $16-22 which was the same price as some of the entrees. Because of this, I decided to order a cider on draft. Our server came back and asked for our drink order and then let me know that there were no drinks on tap available that night. I was offered a high noon as a substitute. This is something that the server should have let us know as soon as we sat down. I needed up passing on drinks because I didn't want to spend $20 on that and ordered the shrimp and grifts for dinner. Food was good and flavorful. Portions were generous! I don't think this will be a spot that I'll come back to but I'm glad I finally gave it a try.

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. The service is spectacular. The ambience is a typical brunch spot. I probably will be back for brunch. I will say that the weight is typically longer than usual.

Ambiance: Came on a Saturday at 11am and it was chill. We were literally the only people there. By 1pm a DJ showed up and it was nice Server: Jordan was our server. He was super cool and I appreciated his vibe. He made sure that we were taken care of. Food: Brioche French Toast with bacon and eggs: I personally was not a fan. It was not brioche bread and it was a little more drenched in berries than I would like. The scrambled eggs were delicious, I got 2. The bacon has a cherry dressing that I'm not a fan of but I am also very much a fan of savory being savory and sweet being sweet. Grits are more cheesy than I'm used to. My friend loved them, I prefer my grits more southern Bottle less mimosa: They give the champagne in a glass and you top with whatever flavor (which is what I prefer).

We were hosting family, and someone had suggested to order The Delta. We ordered a bunch of different items to share. It was right when the restaurant opens, and we picked up immediately when it was estimated to be ready. Since our order was so large, I think most items had been sitting a while and cooled. The Delta Wings weren't crispy, Cornbread became dry, fries soggy, etc. The Singapore Street Noodles was my favorite dish, had a little kick to it, generous shrimp, and bouncy noodles. I also liked the Southern Cajun Corn Elote, but the corn wasn't in season (small kernels). Overall, if we had dined in, or had a smaller order, I imagine the quality would've been better. The flavors were good.

WUTANG WEDNESDAYS are great. All the food and drinks are named after Wutang songs and they play Wutang all night. I enjoyed myself. The place is a bit small so my friend and I sat at the bar not to sit so close to the next group. The staff was really nice and made great recommendations. The meatloaf was amazingly good. It's like they grind the meat themselves because the texture was smooth. That meal is called "Mas" rules everything around me. My friend had the Protect ya peck which friend chicken and a spicy sauce. The chicken and sauce were good, but they were a lil stingy with the sauce. Our only complaint is the food came out about 15-20 mins apart but the service and food made up for it. I will be back

I came here for brunch with friends on a Sunday morning during their slow period. Service was a little rough around the edges, but the food was very filling and very good. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, and it was pretty big, very saucy, and very flavorful. It came with a huge side of hash browns that were also good. I would definitely come again for the lively brunch vibes later in the day that I've heard about!

Made a reservation for brunch one Sunday and it was decent. When we were walked to our table and were first offered a table that felt very tight in between two groups. We asked for another option and we got a nice spot in an inside/outside, covered patio area? Service was a bit slow at first as there were quite a few big groups, but once we were introduced, service was great. The music, drinks, and food was pretty good. We got the smashley and papi fresco. The smashley was great, kind of like a cucumber martini? (Bartenders, don't judge me, I don't know the ingredients of drinks), but it was good! The papi fresco was okayyyy, I was hoping for more passion fruit, less aperol. Food was good, I got the delta breakfast sandwich. The menu for brunch isn't super long. As we were leaving, the front room with the bar had gotten a lot more lively and crowded. I'd come back!

Went to The Delta during a weekend in Chicago with a small group for brunch. The restaurant had a cozy and quaint feel to it which set the tone. Our server Jordan was great. He was funny, attentive and really catered to us. For our bottomless mimosas, our glasses were always full! I had the Breakfast Burger which I really enjoyed. It was great. When we were getting ready to leave around 1ish or so, this is when the DJ came through. We got to enjoy the early part of his set which was a vibe!

Wow this place was a bit of a hidden gem! We came for Friday night happy hour which was 5-7 and half off their cocktail menu which included the large formaT drinks. I will say... "large format" is definitely generous as it wasn't much larger than a normal cup and def was on the low side for alcohol but it was delicious! Getting just a cocktail was a much better deal though, certainly wouldn't pay full price for either but also tried the lemon squeezy and it was alright. For dinner we got the catfish and chips and the burger and split them. Both were delicious! Especially the burger. Would come back for that alone. The fries were good, I liked the seasoning but personal preference would be skinnier. The cornbread was also super good! Different from any I've had, a unique flavor but I liked it. Waitstaff was great. Music was good. Overall highly recommend!

Visited on a Thursday evening, and was pleasantly surprised. Our server was attentive and checked in often. Once we ordered our food arrived quickly, the meal was hot and fresh. My Hoppin johns had the perfect kick and was tasty. The cornbread was also really good. The burger was simple but tasty. Overall, this was a great visit from the time we walked in until we walked out.

Off jump, the server Jordan was cool. Bro is funny and personable. I got the breakfast burger. The breakfast burger was good. I give it a 7 out of 10. It's just a good burger and will leave you satisfied. The hash brown that came with it was overcooked though. The ambiance was nice.. it is a good place to sit, chat, enjoy the vibes and grab a drink. The staff are honestly the people who make the place worth going to because of how genuine they are. I recommend checking it out and judging it for yourself.

Everything was awesome. Service was excellent, food was great, we had a great time. On the service; the friend we were with can have dizzy spells and one thing to trigger such spells is flashing lights. We asked them to turn of the (totally unnecessary) disco lights and they said no problem (especially as it was still light out anyway...). Also on the service, the chef came out to the table and said my order of Hoppin' John (gumbo) would've been the last serving of the pot and just wasn't up the quality they were willing to serve. I appreciated that. So instead, given the wait, they comp'd my entree. I got the fried catfish instead which was amazing. The spices and seasoning in the batter were incredible. A great blackened cajun type spicing to it and would definitely recommend getting it. It's one of the best fried catfish I've had, honestly. My wife got the shrimp and grits and said she enjoyed it too.

    Easy sitting at bar!

I have been here a couple of times because the bartenders are nice and it is a nice atmosphere. They have a private back room which is great for larger groups. This review is only for drinks as I haven't had chance to try food when here, but it does look delicious! A $16 maker mark old fashioned starts at $16 which is misleading as it's actually $25! Just to hard to justify for what you get and I hate that it feels like it's misleading. If prices were closer to what's advertised it would feel better and I would likely order more drinks and stay longer.

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!
