What I did find was an adult hip hop dance class. It fit perfectly with my work schedule, so I took the plunge and signed up! This class has been such a wonderful gift in my life. Maddie is a brilliantly creative choreographer, a gifted dancer, and a very patient and upbeat teacher (at 25 years old!). The routines are a blast to learn, and every single class is so fun!! Sadly, they're coming to a close for the summer, but will resume in the fall. I'll be counting the days!! Lana is so kind, and she is often at the studio late at night working hard (cleaning, sorting costumes, etc). We are so lucky to have this wonderful dance studio in our town!!

I shared the experience with a friend and she recommended a studio and dance instructor (Mr. Andrey) who teaches a class on Ukraine folk dance. My daughter signed up for his summer session and was hooked (and she was out of breath and sweaty). She has taken several group class with Mr. Andrey and both group classes and private lessons with Ms. Erena. What does she like about the instruction, the teachers are demanding yet fun. They encourage development in the dancers. They set the expectations high though are reasonable, this is not a competition. There is a traditional code of conduct for ballet and they expect the dancers to follow them, giving respect to their teachers and fellow dancers. Ms. Erena has many years of international and domestic experience. Mr. Andrey brings his home country of Ukraine to life and the dancers learn about a new culture. The environment is welcoming, the younger and older dancers learn from each other. My daughter has been dancing under the instruction of Mr. Andrey and Ms. Erena for three and half years.

I hate to sound like Goldilocks but some were too aggressive, some were way too easy or focused only on stretching, some were just not appealing. Then I tried Orangetheory! She's a great teacher and made the whole experience so fun and memorable. She was also our day-of wedding coordinator and she was amazing. Niosha is super experienced when it comes to weddings, and that helped us so much, not just with the day-of details but even beforehand. She guided us through decisions we didn't even know we needed to make and brought up things we would have completely missed. Her advice and support took so much stress off our shoulders. On the wedding day, she made everything run smoothly, from helping set up all the décor to keeping things on schedule, she handled it all with calm, kindness, and positive energy. Our families loved her too. She was so easy to work with and blended right in. She was always available when we had questions, super responsive, and honestly went above and beyond to make sure everything came together perfectly. My daughter just finished their summer camp and also had a really wonderful experience. She was happy each day I picked her up and was able to sing and dance during a very well done production. The costumes were amazing and the kids did a great job. My daughter has not stopped singing the songs. She just loved it. Two suggestions: Make sure all kiddos get a mic and have even a minimal speaking role (1 sentence, even 1 word-even shared with another!). They enroll for the opportunity to have the full experience and it is costly. I think they should all experience all that being a performer entails. I absolutely would recommend Starting Arts and have my daughter participate again!

After doing our research and asking around, Maq Pack came highly recommended. Our kids have been going here for some time now and from day one they far exceed any expectations I had. The instructor has found the perfect balance of strict discipline for respect and tradition while being fun and approachable. ALL the kids seem to have a lot of respect for what they're doing and take it serious but at the same time they have a ton of fun and can't wait to go to class. Their pricing is affordable and extremely competitive. They even have trial classes so you can give them a try before signing your kids up. AND! Maq Pack has some really cool camps and special events. One of which is Parent's Night Out. They take the kids (usually on Saturday nights) and play games, have Nerf battles and watch movies so the parents can have a night out. No exaggeration, their last Parent's Night Out was possibly our kids' highlight of the year. They had an insane amount of fun. Not to mention my wife and I were able to out for a nice dinner. In addition to the kids classes, they have adult Taekwondo and kick boxing classes in the evening. My wife and I have started both classes and love it. It's a great way to get a workout and have fun. My wife is really enjoying the self defense aspect of it and we both love the exercise. If you're exploring the idea of putting your kids in some sort of martial art or maybe you want to do Taekwondo or kick boxing. I highly recommend doing their trial class and I'm confident you'll see what I see!

Such a great studio for yoga loving moms!…read more I did a group class with my NMS cohort and absolutely loved it. Here are a few highlights: + Baby friendly space! They have mats, toys, diaper changing station etc. It's super welcoming, so you don't need to worry if your little one starts making noise. The instructor even comes around and offers to hold your baby (with your permission!) + Clean and super aesthetic space. All new equipment! Calm vibes! Loved it. + Amazing workout! I think I was biased to think that just because you bring your baby it wouldn't be a real workout... but it really was. I go to CorePower regularly and I was more sore from this class than my usual hot yoga. A major plus that exercises focused on your pelvic floor and all the areas you need to work on post birth. Convenient location in Willow Glen! There are 2 parking spaces in front of the studio, but I think most people do street parking. Lots of different classes to try! I'll definitely be back with my baby in tow :)
