As recent Winter Texans, we are SO happy that we discovered Canopy RV Resort! The place is magical…read morein so many ways and our entire stay was more than delightful. The location is perfect with its close proximity to New Braunfels, yet still retaining that country feel and quietness - so relaxing. There are many things to do and see in the area as it is within easy driving distance to San Antonio, Austin, and many of the attractions that this area has to offer. While the resort is fairly new, it has many mature trees in some sections that make it feel more established and fresh at the same time. Everything is kept up and maintained to a very high standard. We're not sure that you could find cleaner facilities than what this resort offers. We really enjoyed the amenities that were available for use during our stay. They have large gas grills on the patio next to the pool that were available for use. We were also able to use the oven in the grand room, which came in handy more than once. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the firepit area as it provided us an area to gather and have social conversations on a regular basis. And the activities calendar kept us busy and engaged - loved it! But the BEST thing about Canopy is the amazing staff and everything that they do to create a sense of community at this resort. Without them and their efforts, this place would be a really nice facility without any soul. But Devyn and her staff are a large part of the secret sauce that makes Canopy so much more special. We quickly felt like we were a part of larger family or community - a sense of belonging that is hard to describe and yet so wonderful to experience. Before we left this year, we made plans to return next year and for the foreseeable future. We are proud to call Canopy our winter home and would gladly recommend it to anyone else.

We are leaving this awful place at 11am The owner has…read morelocked the gate and won't let us leave. We have only been here for 9 days. On the night of the 7 day we received a eviction notice for some unknown infraction. We moved here from Burnet tx. We needed a place to stay until we could find a house. By no stretch of the imagination would a 90 yr old and a 64 year old driving a 40 year old pick could or would break his foolish rules. If you would check the reviews on this site are from 2020. My review is the only current one. Those early reviews were by people who only were here for a day or two.. the long term RV people are terrified of being evicted for some trumped changes. Who knows?. We are currently waiting for the sheriff's department to come and resolve this matter. We will probably file a civil suit against him. He currently has men with him if there's trouble. It's better to let the sheriff resolve this At costs stay away from this place. It's subpar!!!!!!

When we started researching where to go, this place had a mix between positive and negative reviews. Tony and his wife were so nice! We were caught in a horrible storm on the way up from Houston and had to park overnight and wait out the storm before getting to the campsite. They called and checked on us during the storm and again in the morning, when we were on our way. Tony checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed, and if we had any questions. He was very friendly with us and helped us find a place to float the River. There is some old equipment on the property and he shared his plans to clean it up and what improvements he plans on making. We will definitely be back!

Wanted a place to relax during our visit and hangout with friends to cool down. My friend found…read morethis place. Different sections of Son's Island, the original hut we rented was not available anymore so they provided a different place and location. The rental for the day is about $150 for first 8 people then after that it's $20 each person. The huts can be rented for up to 15 people. The hut they wanted to give us was not what we asked for near the water but they granted us to use the next hut next to us. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked. The huts have lots of bar seating, table seating, seat hammock as well as a bench seating. They also provide kayak with life jacket and mat rentals to use. Their multiple bathrooms were pretty clean and some had ac. When its hot, it was bearable to be there as you are under the shade of the hut and sometimes, there is some wind. The only thing I rated it one less star is the river is not very clear and pretty dirty but it rained the day before so that might be why it was murky. I would still try to clean the debris around the island thought. Now, that we know about this place, we will invite others to rent the hut for a picnic day. Loved our time here with friends.
