Went there to wrap a gift, great price, liked it much. Recommend for quick, inexpensive gift wrap.

Inside you'll find vintage books, used & new vinyl, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, and more! They'll also buy from you too. Buying hours are from 1 - 6 pm daily. Every nook & cranny is packed with memorabilia, yet everything is well organized. You can spend hours here searching for that hidden treasure. Don't worry, the staff are friendly and will happily guide you in the right direction. They also host monthly events such as Mystery Movie Night and special sales like Vinyl Happy Hour. Thankfully, Counterpoint records and books exist as a bastion of all that was right before things took a turn for..whatever they are now. The place is packed full of gems, including many 1st editions and out of print wonders which cannot be found elsewhere. Every time I go, I discover something new. There is a constant flow. The selection is clearly curated and intentional. It's not a traditional used bookstore. The shelves are not packed to the gills haphazardly. The books and records are neatly organized and they seem to avoid duplicate copies of anything. This is a bookstore and record shop for people that love beautiful things. I encourage you to visit.

Such a unique bookstore. Drove the extra mile to come here…read moreand i made sure to leave with no regrets. I, of course, had to take photos of the bookstore. The layout and organization was really nice. Every section had it's own unique look. My favorite, and i think everyone's as well, is what seems to be a tree-like stand in the middle of the interior section of the bookstore. Once i was done admiring it's beauty, It was time for business. How many books can i justify getting!! I decided that i for sure wanted to get a book from a local author and some cool unique books that were unconventional. They had some books behind glass cases and some others that were mass printed in the 90s and a whole section for California based authors. Perfect. They also had many sections of some of my favorite books, books that are on my TBR and many many many books that were so tempting to get that seemed so good. I ended up getting 4 books for under $100. One of which is a book by a local author, and 3 others that were collectibles of some sort. I am very pleased with my purchase and believe the lovely lady that helped me check out agrees. When i come back to Cali, i will be coming back here for more cool books.

Housed inside a former bank, the space already carries this grand, historic energy that sets the tone before you even start browsing. What makes this place unforgettable is how it's designed to be explored, not rushed. There are cozy spots scattered throughout where you can sit and get lost in a book, but the real magic is upstairs. It opens into a maze of rooms, each with its own personality, filled with carefully arranged books that feel more like art than inventory. At times, it genuinely feels like you've wandered into a dream. One of the highlights is the famous tunnel of books, which adds to that surreal, almost cinematic experience. Everywhere you turn, books are used as decor in the most creative ways, and it creates this quiet moment where everything else fades out. Upstairs also holds one of my favorite parts, a row of art studios featuring work from local artists. Every piece feels intentional, unique, and thoughtfully placed. Right nearby, there's a small coffee shop surrounded by beautiful artwork, making it an easy place to pause and take it all in. This isn't a quick stop kind of place. Plan to spend a few hours here, wandering, discovering, and just enjoying the atmosphere. It's one of the most iconic bookstores I've ever been to, and it absolutely lives up to the reputation.

I have been to this Barnes & Noble so many times in the past and keep forgetting to write a review…read moreon them. This is a one-stop book store for all your needs. They have a vast selection of books from fiction to non-fiction, bibles, covers of bibles, cookbooks, celebrity books, autobiography, trend magazines along with other magazines.. wall to wall all the way in the back. They have a big selection of children's books too. Prices vary depending what you buy. They used to sell CD's too. Have bought few in the past. They have a little corner when you walk in to your right that sell gifts, knick knack stuff that are practical, beautiful, and unique. I have purchased few in the past. Walked in yesterday and got a warm, friendly hello from couple of their employees. They were eager to help me and see what I was looking for. I needed a few cookbooks, couple of celebrity books that always captures my attention and I was lucky enough that they had what I was looking for. If they don't have it, they will order it for you. Once it arrives, you will get an email, a text or a phone call from them to go and pick it up. Don't forget to use your 10% discount at the front. You have to be a member of the store. Store is BIG, clean, nicely organized alphabetically according to what you are looking for. All aisles are easy to navigate and it's pretty quiet in there which I love. They even have few armchairs to sit down and read a book. Great store..hands down!! Parking in the back shared with few other businesses. One gender neutral restroom and it is ALWAYS clean. Have used it few times. Thank you Barnes & Noble, all employees for your loyalty, dedication and always being kind and willing to help. Appreciated.

Got me some children's books and a non-fiction book, kind of a reading challenge as I'm sadly very occupied with my smartphone. And it's refreshing to see a whole wall of magazines. Every month, if you buy a children's book, you can buy a featured, popular kids' book for $9.99. I took advantage and love the amusing, heavily discounted "Mother Bruce". Many gift options as well- LP's, Legos, journals, mugs, candles, puzzles and stuffed animals, though they are overpriced. The store is in what looks like a converted theater. A big plus is the huge parking lot in the back, for the whole block. Really appreciate having a large, clean brick and mortar bookstore to immerse yourself in.

They advertise that they sell mushrooms and Salvia, but I'm pretty sure this place has to be a cover for something non-legal that goes on in the back. It's the only explanation why dirty, used kitchen appliances sell for twice the price of a new one. There aren't enough martini's on the Boulevard to get someone drunk enough to actually buy anything here. This place is best enjoyed in the midst of a bar crawl or Sunday Funday.
