Recommend coming early and planning to stand in line for a while. Once inside though everything was scary and fun! The workers seem like they care a lot about people being safe and having a good time which is important. It was such a long haunted house so you definitely get your moneys worth. I was shocked at how many different scenes they had. Unfortunately the person I was with wasn't feeling great and wanted to leave halfway through. The workers were super nice and got us out quickly and safely.

Going when it's less crowded during the week and a couple of weeks before Halloween has its perks:…read more -Less waiting (15 minutes in line is better than hours) -Discounted tickets (print off a coupon for $8 off and pay $27 at the door for) -More time enjoying the top notch rooms and well dressed monsters inside. One downside is there were less actors and stretches without any jumping out to scare you. This place was more lit than any other haunted house I have visited, which makes it a little less scary but easier to see the cool props. I think a little background scary music could have added to the vibe. The variety of rooms seemed endless and took almost 30 minutes to walk through at a leisurely pace. The actors did a great job startling me as they jump out sometimes out of nowhere. The spinning tunnel towards the end, one of my favorite part of a haunted house, was not disorienting as others I have seen. It felt like someone had dialed down the scare factor of the whole house a notch. The exit area and gift shop were fun to see. There were lots of photo ops with different scary monster figures and signs to pose by. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

The Lemp Brewery Haunted House appealed to me because of its location. I'd never been in the space…read moreand was wanting to check it out... Even if it would be covered by decor, distorted by light, and filled with people. The $25 price is a little high for what you get. It took us just a few minutes to get through the line to start. We had only about 25 minutes in there. I guess that's a fine amount of time, but another 5-10 minutes would have been all the better. You have to pay to park in the lot. It's only $5, but if you arrive early enough or don't kind a walk, you can just park on the street. I didn't see or hear anything about the Lemps (except for some props). That's probably a good thing--rhey were real people. There were some nods to the Victorian (I suppose) era early in the route. The spiral staircase at the beginning was one of my favorite parts... Because they were old and real. No scare factor there. They let you take photos as long as you don't use a flash. They got a few decent shreiks out of me. Would have had more but my friend walked ahead of me. I won't talk about the parts I liked--no spoilers here. I wish they'd had a bit more variety, though. It was mostly dungeon/undead. I'd have liked some vampires or scary clowns. I did the Darkness a few years ago and that was a bit better. I'd like to try Creepyworld next year. No regrets about going to Lemp, though.

Let me start off with saying the only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is that it feels too short,…read moreespecially for only being $5 less than Creepyworld. We did all three Scarefest attractions in three consecutive days. The Lemp Brewery was our very first night of scares and it was a great way to kick off the weekend. This year the Lemp Brewery Haunted House took on an occult theme, which is not my typical cup of tea, but it was done well. For those not familiar, the Lemp family history is pretty bleak and the Lemp Mansion is said to be haunted. Nearby is the Lemp Brewery, which is where this Haunted House is located. So this attraction is touted as a "real" haunted house. (This is a haunted house attraction, not a ghost tour.) The natural setting is pretty great. When you arrive, large brick grain elevators tower above you. Across the parking lot from the grain elevators is another old brick building, the Lemp Brewery. Once inside you descend down two long stories of spiral staircase until you're underground. This descent helps create a bit of nervous anticipation, paving the way for the scares to come. This haunted house might be short, but it's pretty intense. It does an excellent job of confusing and disorienting through strobe lights, darkness, and hidden doorways. More than once we found ourselves going in circles in the dark unable to find the way out. The logistics: There's a large paid parking lot attended by the attraction's employees. It took about 30 minutes to go through. It's located pretty close to The Darkness, so you could probably do both in one night (assuming it's not too crowded).

We got the fast pass so we didn't have to wait longer than 20 minutes to actually get in. The first 5 minutes of the haunted house was awesome, extremely intense, and scary. They have it dark as hell in there with very little lighting. There are these red lights that is at eye level that is blinding that keeps your eyes constantly out of focus. It was a really nice touch. However...this haunted house is like all the others, they let it too many people at a time with not enough of a gap between. In less than 5 minutes you're with the people ahead of you who caught up to the people ahead of them and it's just one long single file line through where you don't get the scares and it's just annoying. meh...

Walking through the underground haunted house, it was so dark, a little too dark. I was concentrating on trying to find my way through that the monsters, zombies or whatever wasn't a factor. I slammed my hand, busted my knee and wasn't scared at all. I understand that making the experience dark helps the scare factor but it was so dark you couldn't even see what was in front of you or the props they had out. It felt like I was in an old basement trying to find the light switch... With no luck! For $25.00, I should've been scared, uncomfortable or frighten at least once. This sucks balls. I will NEVER come back to this place again.

I gave this 5 stars based off my experience back in 2019. My experience this year was still really…read moregood, but not nearly as excellent as it was two years ago. They had to remove some features because of the pandemic, and it seems like they were struggling to get enough scare actors, regardless, it was still a fantastic experience. Creepyworld is my favorite haunted house in the St. Louis area. It might not have as much production value or be as scary as The Darkness (they're the same company), but the expansiveness, variety, and indoor/outdoor element make it the haunted house I enjoy most. Its got 13 different haunted houses -- parts of the mazes are indoors and parts are outside -- most years you'll need a jacket (this year it was really hot though). This year's attraction had themes like Crystal Lake, a mansion with creepy dolls, a house decked out in holiday lights just in time for Krampus to arrive, a twisted asylum, and Silo X, a mutant filled area with a evacuation siren going off. If you haven't been to a screampark like this before, here's the setup: you'll typically wait in a line to enter the first house, after a few houses you'll get stopped in another line as they work to spread out groups as you enter the next set of houses. This will happen every few houses, so while there is a small break from the scares all 13 houses are streamlined into one big attraction; in other words, use the facilities (porta potties) before you start. The logistics: There's a small cash fee to pay to park, so carpool when you can. My best guess is that it takes somewhere between 90 minutes and 2 hours to make it through the attraction (not counting the line to get in). Depending on what day/weekend you choose to go, the speed pass might be worth it. After the first few houses there's a short haunted hayride that requires an extra fee; it was fun, but I'm not sure I'd feel like I need to do it again. Buy your ticket online, unless there's a better in-person discount. This year we opted to purchase (online) the Ultimate Scarefest Scream Pass, which came to about $99 (with tax). It included Creepyworld with the haunted hayride, Lemp Haunted House, The Darkness, and speed passes for all three. Of course there's always the question, "is it scary?" Well, yes. But that's hard to answer, because each person's scare tolerance is different. Is it as scary as The Darkness? Probably not. Did my friends scream a lot? Yes. Are there jump scares and super intense moments? Yes. Is the set design creepy? Absolutely. Did my friends and I get trapped between a super lifelike animatronic and scare actor in a narrow hallway, suddenly finding ourselves in a scene from Scooby Doo as we bounced into one another and managed to escape with the monster on our heels? Yes. Yes, we did. My best advice: If you're afraid you'll be too scared, but still want to go, get a group of six and stay in the middle. In front you'll get the people jumping out at you; in the back you'll get followed. If you think it won't be scary at all, go in with the attitude of being entertained instead of scared, and who knows, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Ultimately, immerse yourself in the experience, allow the adrenaline to flow, and let out a scream.

The hayrack ride was the best; I would highly recommend. Would have been nice to have had less fog…read moreand more cast members. Also would recommend spacing the people out more. It's hard to enjoy the attraction when you've got another group right on your tail.
