I took it back to the Mower Store and it cranked okay for two weeks; now we are back to not cranking again. Pulling the cord will wear you out. Don't buy this mower unless you want a mower that's just taking up space and you can't use it; but you can get a lot of exercise pulling the cord.

I called before I showed up and the woman that answered the phone was very polite, informative, and her speech was clear and warm. The owner helped me directly, and seemed very eager to ensure that I was taken care of. He was very professional and didn't put off any management airs. What I mean to say by that is, he seemed professional and efficient enough that you would have expected him to be considered a top employee at the shop, but he didn't act like a person who was above being on the floor engaging with customer service. He seems like he wants to serve the community. The same polite and attentive attitude was possessed by everyone at the shop, and the shop itself was clean and organized and I got the impression that they could compete with big corporations in terms of service while also being the kind of community business one wants to support. I see another review where some parts were unavailable for a fix, but when I consider his chief complaint, I think perhaps the review was too harsh (by his report he payed what is, in my mind, something like a reasonable diagnostic fee, would have left knowing just what was needed, and just had to hunt for parts. This was 2021, and was just about the same time that as a Parks Technician for the city of Danville I began to notice we were having a hard time getting our chainsaws, trimmers and riding mowers fixed because of supply chain). As a Parks Maintenance Technician, I have seen a lot of guys in the small engine repair arena, and everything I've seen so far inspires confidence. I really don't know what the outcome of my mower will be yet, but I do know that if the news came back that there was something quite involved going on with it, I wouldn't be surprised because of it's history, and I wouldn't have any reason to doubt the proficiency of the staff at the shop. I recommend this location for those who want to support a quality local business.
