I found this business on the internet and there was one review. The review that I read was…read moreparticularly good. I decided to take a chance and give them a call. I arranged to take my Craftsman and a Troybuilt to their location and drop them off. After about 2 weeks I received a call from the owner's wife. She informed me that it would be around $147 to fix the Craftsman but it would be well over $300 to fix the Troybuilt. I give them the go ahead to fix the Craftsman. I also mentioned that I was not willing to sink over $300 into my Troybuilt which was a little over a year old. I told her at that time I would pick up the Troybuilt and either get if fixed or junk it. Which I knew I was not going to junk it, just wanted to see how honest these people were. So, I did not hear anything for about a week. Then I received a call from the owner's wife again. I was informed by the wife that she had a little bad news for me. She said her husband had taken the deck off the Craftsman to fix something and found that it needed about $150 more worth of work under the deck. Here is the shady part, she said I talked to my husband about your Troybuilt and he is willing to give you $150 for it (I nearly wanted to laugh in her money hungry face). So, my bill went up by $150 for the Craftsman and he would give me $150 for my practically new Troybuilt. I do not think so! How shady right? After informing them that I was not willing to let my Troybuilt go for $150. She said well, we will not be able to guarantee you that the Craftsman will run correctly without the extra $150 worth of work on the deck. I said all I want is one lawnmower to be running. I did not ask for deck work; the deck was fine when I brought it to you. I said so how much is my bill at this point. Well it is $147 for the Craftsman plus $40 for the diagnostic on the Troybuilt. I said alright, leave them like they are, and I will come pick them up tomorrow. I ask her if she could send me a bill via paypal because I am at work right now. She agreed to send me a bill via paypal. Before I could get home from work, she called to say that her husband had tried to crank the Craftsman to bring it up the field so I could pick it up tomorrow and it would not crank. She said that it now needed a solenoid, otherwise it will not crank. I ask her how much extra that would be. She said around $35 if my husband can find a used one. So, there is another $35? When all was said and done, she sent me an invoice via paypal for $222. I paid the invoice online and went the next day and picked up both mowers. Got home, neither of them would crank. I tried calling them to let them know that the Craftsman that they put almost $200 worth of work on would not crank, they did not answer my call. This is a BIG red flag for me. If you run a business, you should stand behind your work. After $222, not one running lawnmower. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are very dishonest and money hungry. UPDATE: I took the Troybuilt that they said needed over $300 worth of work to a recommended place and was charged $80 and it runs perfect. BAD BUSINESS! BEWARE! RUN! RUN!
