I brought my girlfriend with me who is a little disabled and right off the bat Shy sat my girlfriend down in a barber chair to get her comfortable and brought over a little desk so my girlfriend could sit her bag and water. She offered her tea. Shy then showed me to my hair and asked how I wanted my haircut. She took her time and went little by little to make sure I was happy with the length. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and a master with the clippers and scissors as well as detailed as she shaved some longer eyebrows and checked the nose hairs. After the cut Shy walked me to the sink for shampoo and conditioning. The hot towel and face massage was so relaxing. I knew instantly that I found my new barber. The shop was clean and the customer service was far beyond words could describe. The extra steps even as small as they can see make such a huge difference. The way Shy even assisted my girlfriend speaks so much about her amazing personality and care for the customers. I will definitely be a regular at Hansol Barber Shop. Thank you Shy.

Let me tell you that this place was the MOST I've ever paid for hair coloring and balayage in my life and I've gone to Master hair colorists at luxury salons in the bay area too. Did the prices for hair products increase with Trump too??!? Sheesh. They were nice, talked me through the right shade for the balayage according to my skin tone and then she proceeded to take out a calculator to show me the cost. I was pretty shocked to see the cost, but I already made arrangements to get my hair colored that day so I begrudgingly agreed to proceed. Maybe I should have negotiated or asked if that total included tip? My hair is medium length and layered and the ash blonde/brown came out really nice, but I am still kicking myself for paying this much. I would have expected a nice head massage, complimentary tea or something for paying this much with a balayage, but it was a professional balayage with basic service/experience.

Overcharged and undelivered !!! I came in for the first time…read moreabout a month ago looking to get highlights done. Showed my inspo pictures and made it very clear I wanted cool tone brown, Joanne said that will work and gave me a quote for over $500! I thought that was excessive at first but trusted her word that she could make it happen and I was very excited. They got to work and everything was fine, until they finally washed out the bleach and my roots were glowing yellow while the rest of my hair was orange!! This is something I imagine would happen with $10 bleach from CVS, not with the $500 bleach they charged me for. They ended up putting more bleach on my hair to try and fix the mess, ended up staying in that salon for nearly 6 hours for some highlights. They put toner in my orange mess of hair and told me that it would all be okay. WRONG! When they finally washed the toner out, my hair was still extremely warm and orange with lighter roots! As she was drying my hair I had asked her if this is for real $500 dollars, and she proceeded to tell me how much work they put in to make me "happy" when over half of the time I spent sitting on my ass waiting and waiting for them to fix that mess!! I complained about the fact that my roots were obviously lighter than the rest of my hair, and she offered a free toner for next visit. That was all she was willing to give so I came in yesterday to get it. She told me to come in at 1:30 and I came 5 minutes early just to sit around and wait 45 more minutes to finally be seated in the salon chair! I can tell she was irritated that I actually came to get the free toner she offered, when she finally applied the toner she sat me in the uncomfortable hair washing station chair for so long I started to think they forgot about me! She blowdried my hair super roughly and NOT to my surprise, my hair looked damn near exactly how it did when I came in. Overall, I don't know if it's the products they use or just an unfortunate hairstylist, but this place is an absolute waste of time, money, and expectancy of service. Once again, they had me paying over $500 for my hair to look horrendous! This was frustrating because I'm a teenager treating myself to a new hairstyle for back to school, just for it not to turn out anything like I wanted. I've had so many amazing hair colorists make my hair fantastic and I never ever had to pay this much money! Is this place taking advantage of young girls and their ignorance? I'm literally ginger! This is what I get for trying out a new salon. Sorry not sorry! Is there a way to leave 0 stars?
