It was a cold and rainy November night and we felt like a comforting meal, and what's more comforting than Indian food? Not much!
We wound up ordering the Homestyle Chicken Curry ("Homestyle chicken curry with traditional North Indian spices and slow-cooked flavor") and the Kali Dal Makhani ("Slow-cooked black lentils in butter and cream"). We also got some rice and naan to accompany the dishes.
The food arrived quickly and it's good. I can't say anything really knocked my socks off, but I quite enjoyed both dishes and found them to be reasonably flavorful. I was, however, a little disappointed by the chicken itself in the Homestyle Chicken Curry, as it was presented on-the-bone but with hardly any actual meat. (I think there were maybe two small bites of chicken to be had?)
Anyway, The Curry Kingdom basically satisfied our craving for a comforting dinner, so it's certainly possible we'll be ordering from them again. read more
