I didn't get the cut I was looking for, and after leaving feeling unsure and shy about speaking up (as is so often the case with us women), I called and let Hannah know I was not happy with the cut and wanted it to be fixed. The layers were uneven and choppy and it just was not even close to the pictures I brought in. For how expensive her cuts are, I expected more. She denied my request for a fix, and said I needed to wait a week and then come back to her if I still didn't like it. I was quite shocked by this unprofessional and cold response, especially because I was nearly driven to tears about how my hair looked. Because of how this whole experience went, I asked for my tip to be returned. She agreed, and then informed me that I would not be welcome back. Not to worry--I don't want to come back. P.S. I was able to find another curly hair stylist to make a fix the same day. She was shocked at how uneven and haphazard the cut job was.

She's always trying to stay up to date on trends. Finding someone who knows their way around curls (cutting and coloring curl clumps) is rare and she is fantastic. She gives a great scalp massage during your shampoo which is...WOW! I also value her knowledge around products. She points me in the right directions with tips and tricks with shampoos, conditioners and styling products. Even learned about cowashing. Disastrous attempts at plucking throughout high school? That was my emergency. So I gave her a shot and oh I'm so glad I did! When untamed, my eyebrows are seriously out of control and I start to look like my very italian Dad who, you know, looks fine with those eyebrows because he's not a nineteen year old girl. Heidi told me I had very difficult brows and then proceeded to work magic on them to the point where, on the drive home, I couldn't stop checking myself out in the rear view mirror and nearly ran into a bus. Safe! But seriously, they are perfect. The salon is adorable, very welcoming. There's parking on the street all around, even on a Saturday, and no meters. I was offered a drink the second I stepped foot in the door and didn't have to wait at all even though I was twenty minutes early. The waxing itself was extremely comfortable and basically pain free, and they use all natural and organic products so my overly sensitive skin doesn't freak the hell out a few hours after waxing.
