They send an email ststing it was 100% handicap accessible. Not true. If you plan to use the outdoor wedding area, it is only accessible by steps and a grass area that is not level, but downhill. I called and left a message to speak with someone after the wedding. My call was not returned. Additionally, too many of my personal wedding pictures had the wedding venue mother in them, ordering my niece and fiancé around. You can see them attentively looking at her, rather than enjoying their guests. Again, several pictures show this, not just one or two. As a handicapped person, I was mortified at the lack of accessibility. I had to ask for assistance from relatives that were already seated, calling them back to the barn, after they were seated for the wedding. Lastly, the chairs used for seating are very low budget. I am a large person. My chair sank into the damp ground by a few inches, making the seating unstable. With some up front honesty, so I could plan appropriately this review may have been much different. Also, a returned call afterward may have helped. I left a message with my number and called a few times the next few days. They did not return my call.

First off let me say, this place is very pretty. My fiancé, now husband, were very excited when we…read morefound it, but I DEEPLY REGRET choosing this as our venue! It was in our price range and the owners seemed nice and flexible. We were very wrong about that. The owners, a mother and daughter team, are not flexible in the least. If you have a meeting with a vendor at the location you have one hour. No more. Even if they are on the property they will not open the gates for you to even enter the lot, until your appointment time. I can't tell you how pushy and rude the mother was to my family and vendors once our time was up at our meetings to look over the location together. One instance in particular when I was meeting with my caterer there, we weren't even at the hour mark, it had been 45 minutes and the mother was rushing us out because her daughter had an appointment. I will say both are grown adults who can drive themselves so it was an odd thing to say to get us out faster. There are many hidden charges and fees. They do pretend there are not, but there are. I have many examples. If you want extra chairs so your guests don't have to carry their chairs in, fee. If you want to get in the barn earlier, fee. If you have them reissue your deposit after the wedding because you moved, fee. They did everything they could to charge us fees. They are money hungry. The bridal room where you can get ready looks good when you're first looking everything over, but when you actually get ready in there it's another story. There are no hooks for any dresses. Not one. Luckily someone who was helping us set up had a contraption we could put on the door so I could hang my wedding dress up. Otherwise there was a small mirror they hung that had 4 hooks on it. But they were about stomach height, so they weren't good for hanging bridesmaids dresses or my dress. It would have been on the floor in front of the door for everyone to trample when they walked in and out. The night of the rehearsal there were string lights that weren't working and bugs in the tule fabric that was draped. When my mother in law emailed them to address it, they responded that it was too short of notice. That was just icing on the cake. It's their job to keep up on their facility. You pay a good amount to rent the space and that kind of a response is unacceptable. It should have been in a tip top shape. As a bride you have so much to stress about and worry about. Your venue shouldn't have to be this stressful. Take my advice, and choose a different location. The management style here is not enjoyable and makes the venue process not fun at all. Have some fun and work with people that actually respect you and are excited to help you plan and execute your big day without a hitch!

It was clean, the carpet looked nice, the AMF lanes were fantastic condition. I am a competent bowler (207 ave RH and 160 LH), the house shot was a fun shot, not too difficult. They do have a sport shot league which is really cool, I did not ask if they could put a shot down for me like some of mte houses back home... The scoring system has some neat games you can play for practice time too. Lowest score, odds (you get points for odd counts of pins) and evens, you can set up 9 pin no-tap for those birthday parties or just for giggles. My only complaint was once I got into the system and chose a different type of scoring I could not figure out how to get out of it, I could only change to a different type of game. But it was no bother as I was practicing. For you serious bowlers in the area, they do have specials and passes for a reduced rate. So if you plan on bowling a lot then you can save some money. Just ask.

We celebrated Devin's 2nd birthday without him on this earth with us at Championship Lanes. Last…read moreyear we had a great time, and we had way more people and absolutely zero problems. But let me share our HORRIBLE experience and discuss Angie's absolutely disrespectful customer service. She approached the lanes that my mom reserved and PAID for and stated there were people bowling without shoes. Understood, my mom had already began addressing this issue, and was sending people to get their shoes. Then Angie says "AND YOURE SMOKING WEED" ... let's pause for a moment. I am not smoking anything first off all. We are in a public establishment as a group full of black peoples, let's be real. Who is stupid enough to smoke weed INSIDE THE PLACE. Secondly, IF someone was smoking weed, the WHOLE place would've been a huge cloud. So, let's not falsely accuse a group of people like this. Okay, cool. She walks away. In a matter of minutes, she is back and yelling in my moms face as we are trying to celebrate my deceased brother's birthday. If you know me, I'm cool, calm, and collected and stay out of it, but the moment she raised her voice at my mother, I intervened because what we won't tolerate is this level of disrespect when we have paid and are not causing any issues. Now, someone may have had a vape and idk their rules against that, but that is absolutely NOT the same as smoking weed as she accused. But we won't talk about the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke as you enter the building. At this point several people within our group are livid because Angie is raising her voice and speaking to people as if they are not adults, accusing people of smoking, and just outright disrespectful. Of course she tried kicking us out. Okay, kick us out but give us the money back because we paid a lot of money between the reservation, shoes, and everyone ordered food and drinks. So, we'll leave but we want to be refunded. After I had a word with her and expressed that she needed to reevaluate her customer service skills because it's not what you say, it's how you say it, and she was flat out disrespectful, she said "you know what, just bowl". But that's not even the end. As we are wrapping up, saying goodbyes, Angie calls the police which I suspected because she was hiding on the phone as I was returning shoes. There are literally police officers outside in the parking lot as we are leaving. At this point we felt targeted. Not to pull the race card, but a group of black people having a good time, celebrating a loved one with some friendly competition is too much to ask for, I guess. Y'all can tell me what that sounds like. NO ONE WAS FIGHTING. EVERYONE PAID FOR WHAT THEY RECEIVED. NO ONE WAS CAUSING A SCENE EXCEPT FOR ANGIE AND HER DISRESPECT. This was absolutely HORRIBLE customer service from Championship lanes, specifically Angie, and personally I would not recommend this place. If she's the manager, owner, or whatever, she needs to take a customer service training and reevaluate her ability to run a facility because that's not it AT ALL. I'm not even the one to cause a scene about something but they need to PROPERLY address her poor skills and treatment towards us. OH, they have untagged themselves or blocked me from my Facebook review!
