My new favorite metaphysical shop. Their products are affordable and are of great quality. The place may look small but there is a decent sized selection. The women working was so helpful and friendly and helped me figure out which items were right for me. Great store.

The owner whose name is Darren is helpful kind and knowledgeable. Those of us trying to decide what Jeweler to go to on Main Street in Rochester sometimes are overwhelmed is there are at least for Jewelers within a two-block area so I tried out Smyth Jewelers I tried out Modern Art Jewelers and I tried out haig's of Rochester in addition to Orem. I found Smith's Jewelers to be very not helpful very unwilling. I found Haigs Jewelers Mr Haig to be very surly, brash and overpriced.. And frankly when I was new to the watch game he took advantage of my lack of knowledge and literally purchased an 18 karat heavy gold pocket watch that he claims he would make $100 on it and I figure it out later he made over $1,000 on me on that watch. Third Jeweler call Modern Art used to be a guy that work there named Hague I loved him he was great he has since left the business and left it in the hands of his inept sister who frankly make an appointment with me and when I showed up turned me away and by listening to her realized she knows very little so my vote is 100% for aurum Jewelers on Main Street in Rochester hip hip hooray

I've never wanted to give a 6 star review before. But the Diamond Vault of Troy deserves it…read more They offer customer service like no other retail establishment I have ever experienced. Here's what happened, in a nut shell: my son found a jar filled with old costume jewelry when we were renovating our cottage. He had been begging me to take him to a store that buys gold to see if he could get some money for it, but I knew it was all crappy costume jewelry. Finally, I agreed and added a couple of very small pieces of my old gold jewelry so he would get some money for something. My son found The Diamond Vault via Google. I'd never heard of it. Well, we went in and they treat us like royalty. (ugh, I wished I'd dressed nicer!) The friendly woman (Laura?) took her time going through each piece, explaining the machine, etc...and concluded with less than 1 g of gold. She took her note and the little pieces... and Mr. Timothy Mayer came back in with a little stack of bills. He praised my son for his instincts and gave him cash including valuable $2 bills to keep as an investment. He also gave him a wonderful lecture on investing (as well as giving to others, eg. donating his costume jewelry to a charitable thrift shop) and showed him around, including silver & gold coins and rare $500 and $1000 bills... It was riveting and my son soaked it all in. (I think he's going to start collecting coins and investing in metals!) The staff at The Diamond Vault of Troy has at least 2 more lifelong customers and advocates! They are nothing short of remarkable.

Customer service was ok but the a place like diamond store should be welcoming. I was like waiting to get out of it quickly due to ugly food smell. My husband and I are in our mid 80's and we walk the mall every day and stop to chat with the staff. There is one Security Person (Mark) I don't know his last name, but he went way above and beyond his official capacity. I had fallen a week ago and was walking on a cane. He saw me sitting on the bench waiting for my husband to get the car and pick me up. He took a minute from his job to help me to the car and be sure I was buckled in. We were parked right outside the center court entrance. That act of kindness meant so much to me and I will never to be able to thank him enough. Tappers is extremely fortunate to have security personnel like Mark.

I believe I was racially and economically profiled at Rolex Boutique Tapper's Detroit. I was…read morestopped at the door and discouraged from entering a nearly empty boutique, while shortly afterward I watched other customers walk in without receiving the same treatment. I don't make that accusation casually. I was visiting Michigan and spending the day with a family I had invited to dinner and to take their children to the LEGO Store. They were humble people and dressed modestly. I am Mexican-American and, because I was traveling, I was dressed comfortably and casually. As we walked through the mall, I noticed the Rolex boutique. I own several Rolex watches and routinely stop in boutiques to see what they have. I pointed toward the store, told the family I wanted to go inside, and walked toward the entrance with them directly behind me. The two security guards at the entrance were professional and courteous. They treated me like any other customer. Then a gentleman behind the counter saw us. He looked at me. He looked at the family behind me. Then he rushed toward the entrance and physically positioned himself in the doorway to stop me. "I'm so sorry, sir, you cannot enter. We don't have enough associates to assist you. We are really busy." Really? I could see inside the store. There appeared to be TWO customers browsing. I could also see associates who appeared to have nothing to do. The family behind me immediately understood the message. They stopped approaching and backed away. I didn't. I smiled and asked, "No problem. How long should I wait?" "At least 30 minutes. You may want to visit other stores." I told him I was perfectly comfortable waiting right there. And then something remarkable happened: the supposed 30-minute wait suddenly vanished. After speaking with me for another moment, his position changed to: "Okay, you can come in." No wave of customers had left. No obvious staffing issue had suddenly been resolved. Somehow, within moments, the 30-minute barrier disappeared. Once I was inside, a young Black man entered. I watched the same employee's reaction and perceived an obvious hesitation. Given what had just happened to me, the question hanging in my mind was impossible to ignore: Why wasn't he stopped too? Shortly afterward, a white man entered. No confrontation. No warning about being understaffed. No "30-minute wait." He appeared to be given free access to the boutique. By then, the contradiction was impossible for me to overlook. I cannot tell anyone what was inside this employee's mind. But I can absolutely describe his conduct and how it affected me. Based on what I personally experienced and observed, I believe I was profiled based on my race, my appearance, the people accompanying me, and what this employee apparently perceived our economic status to be. And here's the irony: I am already a Rolex customer. I own multiple Rolex pieces. Once inside, with the entire experience already soured, I nevertheless tried to make conversation and asked about an entry-level Rolex I was considering purchasing as a gift. I was told to go to Tudor. That was enough for me. What angered me most wasn't being underestimated personally. It was watching the family I was with physically retreat from that doorway because they immediately felt that they did not belong there. I had invited them and their children out for an enjoyable evening, and in a matter of seconds, someone managed to make them feel unwelcome in a store simply because we wanted to walk inside and look at watches. Luxury is not a license to decide who looks wealthy enough to enter your store. A Rolex boutique should understand that better than almost anyone. Your customers do not owe you designer clothing, a particular skin color, or visible evidence of their bank balance before being treated with dignity. I walked toward that door as an existing Rolex owner. I walked away questioning whether I ever want to purchase another one. Rolex Boutique Tapper's Detroit should be embarrassed by this experience.
