This poor mall. I know they peaked in the 80s and 90s and it's just sad to see it now. There are empty stores, including a few of the big ones, and some stores just sell nothing I find worthwhile. There often seems to be more staff there then customers and I wonder how it stays open at all. The stores are kinda either very expensive or just selling cheap stuff. read more

At first site this place looks like a dead mall. Ring Road has large potholes everywhere, weeds are growing taller than any flowers or bushes, and nothing as been repainted in years. What an embarrassment to the community. read more

It's alright. But when I was a kid before I was 10, it used to be a fun shopping center with a carousel and a lot of options for the food court. Nowadays the mall is like 25% vacant with only I food stand left in the food court while the rest of the food areas are located outside the food court. There's also a custom shirt place that I never wanted to go to in my life and a phone repair stand that sells counterfeit designer cases. My favorite stores don't have the inventory that their online stores have and I feel like it's going downhill when Summit Properties have bought the mall. I have friends in Bath And Body Works and I hope for the best of them. I swear if Macy's and JCPenney close their doors then the mall is done. This type of property should have been bought from the Simon or The Forbes Company. Hopefully they open Saks Off 5th and Nordstrom Rack to fill in the mall to attract more stores. In the meantime if they don't have what I wanted in the mall, then I'm gonna order it on their online stores. Seriously mid-tier malls and low-tier malls are dying faster while high-tier malls have a bright future. The roads need to be fixed as well. Seriously, if you can't find anything you like or want at the mall, then I recommend shopping online since it's the future. read more

The food court when you walk in is quite impressive. Some standard mall places but also a place or two I hadn't heard of like "Paulie's Cheesesteak". It is well kept and there were people cleaning when I was walking in. I enjoyed the snack places and restaurants scattered among the other stores. I've only seen Olga's Kitchen at one other mall, and I was glad to see it here too. I'd definitely recommend them and one of the 2 pretzel places, "Auntie Ann's" and "Wetzel's Pretzels". I thought the carousel is a great attraction and the kids clearly enjoy it. I came here to find new work shoes and found some for less than $20 very quickly. I am very pleased with all the variety of stores. From anime and gaming stores to sports stores to kids stores, they all were well presented and not overcrowded. All stores I went to were well staffed and I truly enjoyed myself at this mall, as someone who doesn't usually enjoy malls. read more

Of course with this cold season comes a reason to scramble to the mall for some fun. Because shopping for presents can be stressful. So it's a relief that we could not only get shopping done. But play arcade and board games all in one place. Finding sanitizing stations was pretty easy as well! Plus I was able to check out stores I hadn't seen in a long time. It was really fun to check out the huge jenga and checkers board. Not what it used to be, but still entertaining at least. read more

Nice 2 level mall with a variety of stores. I normally enter at the food court where the carousel is located. Bathrooms are right there too. Food court is large with plenty of choices. There's also an Olga's downstairs. The mall is clean & monitored by security. read more

My favorite childhood mall...well, only mall in Portage. I grew up going to this mall to hang out and eventually work at for many years. Every time I come back home, we make it a point to visit to see what new stores they have. Unfortunately, I have to agree with another reviewer in that they have outdated stores and need a refresh very badly. Portions of the mall have held up, but some of the anchor stores need to revamp their look (Macy's), and I agree that a healthier restaurant would do well here. Nevertheless, I will continue to swing by Crossroads when I'm in town. read more

The Wife and I have visited this shopping mall for over 30 years I believe. It is an enormous affair and 2 stories. Penny's Sears,and Macy's are the large Anchor Stores today Macy's is the newest and the most expensive. Crowds come and go depending on the season. She Gravitates to Penny's and CJ Banks (clothing) I I am drawn to Sears (tools). The indoor shopping mall is now a white elephant and I expect this one to close in the future. The in thing now is the strip mall which will probably replace this one down the road. The shopping crowds still seem to hang on to The Cross Roads and it still seems vibrant but many a Mall within a 60 mile radius has fallen into decay with many slots vacant. Some are literally Ghosts of what they used to be. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I came to the mall a couple of weeks ago and stopped by Lids to buy my sons some hats. The employee Jake was rude and completely disrespectful. My husband asked him for the corporate number and he gave us the wrong number. I guess he thought we was not going to call on him. Dumb on his part. My husband went back in and asked the correct number and he finally gave it to him. This company does not value their customers and it shows through their lack of trying to make this situation better. I don't like to see people lose their job, but this piece of trash needs to be unemployed immediately. If you go to Lids and see a white male with glasses on by the name of Jake, turn around and don't waste your money and time. Lids corporate office is a joke as well. read more

This mall has plenty of shops and stores to say the least. Yes, in some ways it can't compete with bigger city malls. But for the size of the area. This mall suits it very well. With a diverse choice in clothing stores. Varying from the more inexpensive up to a moderate/expensive range (which can be a personal preference) It has the larger department stores such as *Macys *JCPennys *Sears *Burlington As well as other popular clothing a stores. *Express *Banana Republic *Hollister *American Eagle *Victoria Secret *Pacsun More specialty shops like shoes *Aldo *Finishline *Foot Locker The food court isn't something to forget either. There's plenty of places to get food with a range of selection. Not to mention plenty of seating. And for the kids the have a fairly good sized play area. As well as the 2 story carousel! Good lucky getting your child not to notice it. All in all this place is a great place to spend some time whether looking to update a wardrobe. Spend time with friends. Get the kids out of the house. Or just to walk around and enjoy window shopping. I highly recommend for night being a super large mall. read more

Pretty decent mall. Common areas are kept clean, wide variety of stores and plenty of parking. A few stores like SEARS and Burlington Coat Factory need to be replaced (maybe with a sports store or Yonkers?) to update the selection. They also need more "sit down" restaurants (only one choice right now besides the food court). Some of the best stores include Macy's, Yankee Candle, Hollister, the Hallmark store, and Dressbarn. read more

I always enjoyed doing my holiday shopping at crossroads mall and to make the drive to find out the carousel has been removed just disappointed me. Guess I can shop at my home town mall. It brought back a feeling of nostalgia and put you in the shopping spirit. read more

Being the only mall in the area besides strip stores along Westnedge, I'd say this one rates up there as being a solid 4 star mall. I'd even stay with this rating when comparing to the other 25 malls I've been in during my time on this Earth. Although there are a few stores I'd like to see like Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, or Restoration Hardware; GR is only 45 min away. Carousel??? That's pretty darn cool, especially for the kiddos. read more

One my latest trip to this mall I only visited the food court and restrooms. Its been a few years since I've been shopping at the mall, but it was always a good experience. My family took a road trip to Chicago from Detroit last weekend and with a young toddler in tow we needed to make a stop about half way into the trip. We thought the mall would be a good stop so our daughter could run around a little. We stopped at the food court and I was pleasantly surprised when I went the bathroom. The woman's restroom had several large stalls with the kids seats that you can strap the little ones into while you do your business. I've seen these in other places but the straps are usually broken, but these were fully intact. There was also a family lounge that had a couple of comfy chairs and a couple toys, two large family restrooms, a diaper changing area, and a nursing room! It was a parent's dream. The food court also has kid sized tables and chairs, plenty of high chairs, a fountain, and a carousal ($2/ride). I wasn't very impressed with the selection of restaurants though, Sbarro, Subway, Chinese and Great Steak & Potato, so we were able to find something for everyone, but not my first choice. Definitely a good place for kids and I know we'll be stopping here again on our next trip through the Midwest. read more

I haven't been to this mall since April 2011. I used to live in West Michigan (Three Rivers) for 10 years (1999-2009) and in the early 90s (1990-1993). It's one of my favorite malls in West Michigan. Back in the early 2000s I was bound to see at least 3 people that I knew from Three Rivers there or any other town in West Michigan. Lots of good stores, nice food court and carousel. I can bet they got new stores there since the last time I was there. read more

Basic mall, all the traditional stores. Big box anchors, Sears, Penny's Burlington, Macy's. Parking is convenient and never a far walk to an entrance A good assortment of clothing stores for adults and children. I really like Dress Barn, it's one of the largest ones I've been too. Also a nice new addition is the Shoe Dept. upstairs, huge selection and great prices. This mall is always very clean, which I love. The food court area is nice, merry go round, playground area for little ones, and everything is always clean. The biggest addition needed is some more food options. Not much to pick from. read more

The mall is a typical teen hang out. I won't shop there after dark. The restroom by Sears has the foulest smell and there is no attempt to even introduce any type of odor control. read more

The two closest malls to my house are the Lakeview Square Mall and The Crossroads, but I very much prefer this one. I tack an extra 20 minutes onto my travel time to visit this mall because it's not dying. There are more stores to shop in and the food court has a wide array of places to eat at. I also like that the JCPenney has a Sephora and my favorite clothing store would have to be Zumies. I highly recommend coming here! read more

This is the only mall Kalamazoo offers, and it's not bad. The carousel next to the food court is nifty. The food court is decent, with sbarros being my personal favorite. Nothing too outrageous or upscale as far as stores go. read more

If you are a female, be very aware of the mall security here. These overzealous rent-a-cops are young, defensive and wishing to be real police officers. They harass women ( all ages) and are not there to help shoppers, instead they are there to assert their authority. Crossroads needs to realize in this age of Amazon, they should be welcoming visitors instead of making their shopping experience miserable. Please Crossroads, get rid of this outdated, crappy, sub-contracted "security" company, and get some real police officers here! read more

All of the good stores have left. But I'm not surprised. The parking lot is tight not much room to maneuver around. That one lingerie store that was on the top floor was pretty interesting! Needs more clothing stores and not more stores for the much older generation. Do love the kid area play place in the food court though. read more
