LYUBA the EXCEPTION!!! Lyuba is proof that statistics are irrelevant to the individual (the statistic here being that all real estate brokers are evil and being irrelevant because I happened upon Lyuba: the only honest, helpful broker I know or have heard of). The list of positive adjectives I could use to describe her are endless: nice, friendly, knowledgable, professional, helpful, clever, etc. But I think what is more telling are examples of how she helped me. She not only listened to what I wanted and went looking for it, but she nudged me away from deal breaker apartments I was tricked into liking that for whatever reason would not have realistically suited my needs. It was not uncommon for us to walk into an apartment, look around, come out and me hear Lyuba say "you're not living there". To say that she listens is apt, to say that is all she does is an unfair characteristic. She will tell you her opinion in the form of facts (in efforts to not corrupt your own classifications), and she will also be harsh with you when you need it as previously mentioned. Example: "yes Max, the kitchen is redone and shiny, but it's not worth the 500 dollar mark up. I'll find you the same kitchen in a better apartment" (and she did) It took Lyuba and I multiple Saturdays of 10 viewings a day to find my apartment. And when I did the help did not stop there. She helped me get 100 dollars off the monthly rent, helped me with problems I had after signing and was still available 24/7 for all of my questions an concerns. Lyuba is more than you could ever ask for or expect in a broker. She just makes it easy and fun and has a great personality! She takes care of everything so all you have to do is show up (but you better show up and on time!). There is no doubt in my mind I will use Lyuba for all of my future rentals and purchases in NYC. I recommend her whole heartedly! Good luck in your apartment search. read more

We recently purchased our co-op apartment in Midtown and our experience with David Chen couldn't have been better. David is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and hard working. He has been our partner throughout the multi-month buying journey and really put in a lot of efforts to understand our needs, did in depth research of the buildings and many times previewed the units before presenting them to us so our apartment hunting trips could be the most productive. He is a person would do everything to accommodate his clients, even if it means he has to work many odd hours. David's knowledge of the buildings and their boards made our co-op board interview process (supposed to be one of the toughest board interviews in the city) appeared to be a piece of cake. However, we understand in the background he had been working days and nights to make our application package the most complete and attractive. We have worked with quite a few real estate agents. David is definitely one of the best to work with. We highly recommend David to anyone who is looking for an apartment in the city and wants to have an enjoyable experience at the same time. read more

My husband and I have very recently moved to New York City from London and were actively looking for a place in Manhattan. We had heard all the horror stories about the NYC rental market and were very apprehensive about the process. We spoke to several brokers and viewed countless apartments with no luck. We went through so much trouble before we finally found our absolute treasure, Anna Vlas. She turned things round for us and she very quickly found us exactly what we were looking for. Anna is extremely approachable, professional and with a positive can-do attitude. She was very patient with the fact that both my husband and I were completely ignorant of the process and explained everything we needed to know, more than once if required, without ever being pushy. Anna has extensive knowledge of the New York City real estate market and is incredibly honest, experienced and hard working. She made our experience easy, smooth and one we want to share for all the right reasons. Thank you Anna, you are a real asset to your company and we will recommend you without any reservations! read more

I am now in my absolute dream apartment thanks to Anna Vlas, who is the warmest, most reliable and trustworthy broker I've ever worked with. Anna goes above and beyond for her clients and has the kind of empathy that's rare in her industry. She is savvy about the market and actually listened to my needs/concerns. She never pressured me to make a decision or compromise on price, location, etc. Once I made a decision I was 100% happy with, she got the ball rolling promptly and did the necessary negotiations to get me the best deal possible. She works around the clock, and yet is still always in high spirits. I highly recommend her skills and expertise and will definitely work with her again in the future. read more

My girlfriend and I began our search for our first apartment together, and we had the pleasure of working with Victoria. She asked us plenty of questions and genuinely cared about our situation and desires for a new place. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and provide us with plenty of options. Her communication with clients is fantastic; every time we tried to reach out to her, Victoria was either available to speak to us or got back to us shortly after. Her knowledge of the area was fantastic, her professional demeanor is great, and she is very easy to talk to, which made the visits to rental units a wonderful experience! I cannot recommend Victoria enough; ask for her! read more

I went through 4 brokers and 20 apartment viewings before I found Anna Vlas from the Crest Group. Anna is phenomenal. I was already exhausted from the aggressive nature of apartment hunting NYC. Once meeting Anna, she only needed 1 day of apartment viewing with me to understand specifically what type of space I was looking for - something with charm, near public transit, within my price range. We found my new studio the 2nd day together, and got the lease signed within a week. Anna is excellent with communication, unbelievably nice, patient, and was very prompt with all of my questions! As long as I'm in NYC, I will only be using Anna when looking for apartments. read more

Anna Vlas and Kristen Phant did an amazing job finding me an apartment in the city. After many frustrating weeks of searching on my own and with other brokers, I was really lucky to find them. They were persistent and worked very hard to show me as many places as possible within my criteria and offered me great advice (without pressuring me). They really went the extra mile from beginning to end to make sure I secured the apartment (condo) and were available for every small question or concern I had. They're both extremely friendly and trustworthy and I was grateful to have them on my team throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend working with them. read more

After several frustrating experiences with other companies and brokers, I finally found Anna Vlas at The Crest Group who helped me every step of the way in finding my dream apartment! Anna went above and beyond in helping, negotiating, and communicating to me every step of the way and she worked around the clock for me until I was moved in! She listened and solved every concern that I had to make the process as easy for me as she could. She's honest and made sure I was confident in all of the decisions I made. Five stars are not enough for Victoria... I was working with Victoria and she was an amazing agent! I heard back from her within 10 minutes of reaching out and she had me in the unit the next day, and it was the actual unit she was advertising! Victoria knows the market unbelievably well, she was able to list everything in my price point in the area I wanted right on the spot. She's really great to work with, has a really funny personality and you will LOVE her Canadian accent!! =) You want her to be your agent, trust me!!! read more

My girlfriend and I worked with Anna Vlas and Kristen Phant. They were both so helpful and kind while working with us. My girlfriend and I had completely different work schedules and they worked with us very well to make sure we both got to view any of the apartments we were interested in.
