It is in walking district to everything in the "Old Mandeville" area and so close to the lakefront. We walked to all of the surrounding bars and dining spots and just felt so relaxed !!!! The lakefront is lined with beautiful, raised, opulant Creole Cottages and huge trees dripping in spanish moss, it is a beautiful area. My advice is "GO STAY THERE", Micheal is a great host and we loved "Baby Cat", the 20-yeear old, one-eyed kitty who was our welcoming mascot.

This is because we could hear screaming, banging and pounding above us, well after 10:00 P.M. each night. We did not experience peaceful sleep any of the nights we stayed. Finally, even though the binder that the owners put together with guest information states that our room will be tidied up daily, it was only done three of the four days we stayed. They skipped a day for some reason and we weren't informed about it ahead of time. Will not stay or recommend this to anyone.

She took care of us, fluffed our room when we were out & reloaded our fridge with breakfast daily. She showed us around the place and welcomed us like family. I truly felt like I was at mom's house. True southern hospitality. We had a few good talks about the history of her house and her life as she once lived in New Orleans. My fiancé enjoyed talking with Linda as New Orleans is where he was born and raised. Despite our talks, Linda does not hover! Which was so appreciated, when you're on a "romantic"vacation. We had our own privacy during our stay as each suite is separate and inaccessible from where Linda stays in her home. We came and went as we please and used the hot tub at night as late as we wanted. We had our own private entrance, which was incredibly nice. The privacy was appreciated as I didn't know what to expect when we first arrived, but I was prepared to be open minded. I think I will always choose a Bed and Breakfast over a lousy hotel in the future. The rooms were grand and clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower as well. Everything was clean. Its just an old house, but I loved the cottage vibes. It was home-y. The town is walkable and cute! A Mardi Gras parade came right through down the street, during our last day there, which was nice. The poolside porch and hot tub made me feel like I was at a resort. The beauty of the home is breathtaking! Romantic cottage vibes! Perfect for couples or even a small girls trip. I will definitely be back to Linda's next year when we visit again for Mardi Gras. Linda has made me never want to stay at a hotel again.

We had been out on the motorcycle all day, in the heat, and were looking forward to a chance to freshen up and shower before dinner, regardless of the place. We were about to be very delighted! We pulled up in front of the residence on a very quiet, tree-lined street. There was plenty of space (and shade, lovely, wonderful shade) to park on the street, but off-street parking is also available. What a lovely place! We were met at the front door by one of the proprietors, Maureen, and welcomed to her home. We instantly felt like family and as Maureen showed us to our room, she was excited to hear about our day and to offer suggestions on how to enjoy our stay. The room was absolutely perfect. We had a small sitting/breakfast area with coffee and tea available, some muffins and cakes, along with snacks, and a refrigerator containing water and soft drinks, along with two slices of quiche (which we very thoroughly enjoyed, heated in the microwave, the next morning). The chairs and table were comfortable and were perfect for relaxing and looking out the windows at the pretty little yard. The bedroom off the breakfast area contained a beautiful four-poster bed and a mattress that left me envious and eager to return. I truly do not remember sleeping this well in recent, or otherwise, memory. Mental note to self, get this mattress. The bedding was high end sateen and really made the night restful, relaxing, and just perfect. The bathroom has a powered jacuzzi tub! It totally sealed the deal for us. We are daily hot tube users at home, so this was a welcome addition to our stay. The bathroom was neatly decorated and was just perfect. After dinner, we made our way to the bed and I barely remember my head hitting the pillow. When I woke up, I just lounged around in the bed for an hour to relish in the comfortable, homey feel of the place. We did make use of the breakfast space, brewing some dark coffee and enjoying the quiche prepared for us by our hosts. It was delicious, as was the coffee, and was the perfect way to end our stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Blue Willow to anyone, just not on the nights I'm planning to escape and come back!

His knowledge of the area makes the chats we had perfect. I felt like such a princess at our wedding and Debbi and Tim made sure it all was perfect! Several of us had a reaction and we left the next day under the medical advice of a local ER after being seen. I called the listed number about moving or a refund and got no callback for several days. So we made the decision to leave. When they finally emailed, they said the owners inspected later, found no visible mold, blamed "naturally occurring" woods allergens, and refused a refund because of a no-refund policy and because the cabin was reserved for our week. They kept the unused nights after we had to leave and nickel and dimed us for fees when we were not there. Pretty photos. Unusable stay for us. Would not book again Ever. Terrible Customer Service when we reached out for help and the lack of. Have pics of the of the conditions of the A/c units filters and fans that haven't been maintained in what appeared in a very long time. Will update photos when I'm able to minimize them for upload.

I contacted Kelly McKinney, owner of Splendor Farms in Bush, LA, in March 2026 to inquire about the…read morepurchase of an adult mini dachshund to enjoy a wonderful life as a companion to my 75-year-old mother. I paid $3650 and flew to Gulfport, MS to pick up this dog, "W." Almost immediately after she was in our possession, our communication with Kelly became contentious and our nightmare began.  It would be impossible to describe what an emotional and physical wreck this almost three-year-old dog was in without sounding like I am exaggerating. She would not eat, would not walk outside on a leash, and was not housebroken. She was frantic, ran, and cringed every time every time we tried to gently approach her. We asked Kelly multiple times what could be going on with W but she either gave us a condescending answer (e.g. "you are apparently scary to her") or didn't respond at all.  These troubles were soon surpassed by much more pressing ones when, weeks later, she W developed a hacking cough and began to completely refuse the little bit of food we had been able to get into her via hand feeding. We sent a video of her coughing to Kelly and begged her to please offer her knowledge to help us figure out what was behind W's rapid decline. She did not respond.  Sedated X-rays ordered by our vet revealed that W's lungs were filled with either a fungal infection or lymphoma. She was immediately transferred to an emergency hospital two hours away for oxygen support and diagnostics, where further testing (urine assay test and bronchoalveolar lavage) solved the case: W had Blastomycosis, an often-fatal fungal disease. Again, we had had W for seven weeks at this point. My final text to Kelly said "if you are at all concerned about the unbelievable suffering [W] - and we - have experienced in the past week, please contact me." She didn't.  W spent 11 days in intensive care, receiving IV meds, constant oxygen, and nutrition through an NG tube. W survived this ordeal, miraculously, but it took someone like my mother who was willing to spend $25,000 on a dog we had only had for two months to save her. She may have permanent lung damage and the treatment for Blasto will be long and expensive. She will be on anti-fungal meds for many months and will need ongoing testing. The total bill for saving her life will likely be in the range of $35,000 but we think she's worth it. Nonetheless, it has been an exhausting, terrifying, expensive nightmare.  Everything above is our own experience and our own opinion. I only wish that, before buying W, we had read reviews available online about adult dogs sold by Splendor Farms, as I now have done and encourage others to do. PLEASE - BUYER BEWARE.

She sent a SIDE profile pic, of his ONE blue eye and said he had blue EYES. PLURAL. Never got a picture of him face on. Upon arrival we were shocked to see he only had ONE blue eye and the other BROWN. We drove all the way from Texas!!! After looking back at the pictures she sent us, it's clear it was intentional the way she placed him in the photos. Love my boy dogs but will never buy from her again. Kelly, They are BEAUTIFUL dogs, I'll give you that. But beyond that...a little shady and never sat right with me after all these years.
