Weekends now a-days have craw boils going on and all forms of food test places in the store…read more Staff always helpful and cant remember a time could get what I came for. Store clean as always with friendly staff that engaged us in multiple departments.

I hadn't planned on reviewing this H-E-B, because I don't have good or bad service here but after a…read moretruly positive experience at Leon Springs, I felt compelled to share a very different one. About a week ago, my son hit his head hard at the register and immediately began crying. As any parent would, my focus shifted entirely to comforting him. What stood out--and not in a good way--was the cashier's response. I noticed her exchange a look with the bagger that came across as annoyance and even threw in an eye roll. She didn't say a single word to check if my son was okay. There was no acknowledgment, no concern--just silence the entire check out process. To make matters more uncomfortable, my son happened to be holding a fidget spinner that he brought from home, and there seemed to be an assumption that he was attempting to walk off without paying for it. The lack of empathy felt disheartening. I understand that not everyone naturally responds with warmth, and of course, my child is not theirs. She was a young girl. Still, basic human kindness goes a long way. A simple "Is he okay?" would have made a meaningful difference, Even "hey here's some bravo bucks" I left as quickly as I could to care for my son, but looking back, I do wish I had taken a moment to speak with a manager.

We came to Comal Crawfish Company and had the BEST experience thanks to our server, Jorge!…read more He was seriously amazing -- super attentive, constantly checking in on us, and always making sure our drinks were refilled without us even having to ask. He was so kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and just had such a welcoming, personable vibe that made the whole experience even better. He also told us about the specials for the day and made great recommendations. You can tell he really cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. If you come here, definitely ask for Jorge -- he made our night!

You can buy more sides if you want. Our first batch was very spicy, had the seasoning sprinkled on top. Not my favorite method, but oh well. The next round didn't have the spice on top and my husband found that more tolerable. I guess we'll order separate pounds next time LOL I like it when the cayenne makes my head itch! There's a bar area, several tvs around, and a great patio for outdoor seating. Being a crawfish place, it's super casual, and the place was packed by the time we finished. They have a lot of beers on tap and some in bottle too. I told them they should start an early happy hour, maybe 3-6pm, selling pints of draft for $5 and pounds of bugs no sides for $7... we'd definitely go!! As amazing as it was, we spent over $80 on 4 beers and 5# of crawfish and at that rate, it rivals what we spent at McAdoo's...yikes. Still, got my first fix of the season and I was pleased!
