It's incredibly well laid out inside, they have these cool bubbles outside that you can eat in which are kind of like mini cabins, the only sad thing is I don't really have too much time to stay here as I'm just working down the road doing some stuff for a client so no unfortunately I can't really partake of the excellent menu. I wish I could write more but the next time I'm back in this neck of the woods I would definitely come here the staff are also friendly and it's warm inside.

It was tranquil and idyllic, watching the canal boats pass by, periodically opening the swing-bridge that traverses the canal. As another Yelper correctly indicated, the road here is a narrow single-track, with frequent maneuvering necessary to allow traffic to pass; it can be rough on the nerves, if you're not practiced at it. My advice is to leave the car elsewhere and walk the towpath to the pub: both more relaxing and prettier! There are 2 parking lots if you do decide to drive. The service was friendly, and they have some nice beers available. Food did take a while to arrive, but we were enjoying our drinks and the ambiance, and were not bothered. The food was superb, especially their Famous Duck Confit - delicious!!! If you are looking for a lovely country pub, look no further.

The menu is great, and it has a ton of drinks on offer. Last time I went, the prices were fantastic, mainly due to a lunch deal of any 2 courses for £7. Usual for this pub chain, no music & nice cheap drinks which attracts a lot of young people at the weekend. The normal starting point before hitting a club. The toilets are good here, bar service can be hit and miss depending on who and how many are serving. There are a few fruit machines and one quiz machine. A lot of seating, but will be full on the weekend.

Cannot say enough great things about this place and the staff and ownership…read more I had a team of colleagues from the US in town for a sales meeting and we were determined to do karaoke to celebrate making our sales goals. Even though this business was closed due to the bank holiday, they opened just for us so we could celebrate. Space was excellent, drinks are great, and again, the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Looking forward to going back to Oxford soon so I can hit the Mad Hatter again!
